"Ready for the contest?" Glen said

"yeah, I've got it all planned.You?" I replied

"Yep.... The appeal round is all taken care of" he said

"Good." I replied,feeling the heat of the competition and today's previous events setting in. I noticed my hands were shaking, and was trying my best to control it, but failing aimlessly

"Relax..." he said trying to calm her down "you've done this before, you've done well before, you'll do so again" he said, putting a hand on her shoulder

I took a deep breath in and faked a smile "Yeah you're right... I don't know whats got me so jumpy today!" I said laughing a little.

"You don't have to fake happiness either you know" he joked "just don't over react" he said "you'll be fine"

"Thank you. I'm just not myself today. I want to get this competition over today y'know?" I replied, smiling lightly.

"Got it...." he said, leaving his hand on her shoulder "good luck out there" he said

"Thanks, you too. I feel like I'm going to need it." I sighed heavily, focusing my attention to the screen. Only a few more contenders to go before I was up.

Glen turned his eyes to the screen too, grabbing her hand

I glanced down at our hands, which were intertwined together and felt a pang of something deep in my chest. Regret? No. More so guilt. Guilt about how much I was selling Glen out for. For the fact that I was using him, like a pawn on a chest set, a mere distraction from something much bigger.

Glen didn't say a word, a smile on his face, feeling ready for the next round or whatever the world threw his way

But right now, I need to focus on the competition. As the last contender before me finished up, I smoothed down my dress, adjusted my hair slightly and gripped my pokéball slightly tighter and planted a kiss down on top of it. Turning to Glen ans giving his hand one more squeeze before dropping it and saying "Going to wish me luck or what?" Raising my eyebrow slightly

"Good luck" he said, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek

I winked at him, flashing a grin before turning and heading towards the entrance of the performance hall, heart pounding, breathing erratic, ready to begin. I stepped forward out into the crowds gaze and a silence fell upon them. A smile drawn on my lips, I released Piplup out into the hall, no flashy effects on my pokéball this time. Just pure performance. Piplup struck up her routine with twists and turns in amongst bubbles popping them with a high paced drill peck, showing the crowd with a glittering dust, earning audioble Oohhh's and Ahhs. We set out a steady pace a good solid performance which ended on a frozen whirlpool shattering into many crystal shards and were then encased in bubbles leaving them lightly floating around the hall. We took a bow, hopeful to get through to the next round.

"Great work out there" Glen said, "you two did amazing as always"

"Thanks" I replied, patting Piplup on the head gently, expressing both mine and Glen's praise to her. "So," I continued, "When are you due up?"

"In a few minutes" He said "Remoraid and I have figured out a few tricks, just have faith in us" he told her, smiling at her

I raised my hands in defense "I never said I didn't have any faith in you! I know you'll do good today, I can feel it"

he smiles "I was just playing" he said "...you look so cute when you get defensive" he said "...we'll do great"

I glanced down, smirking at the floor then looked back up at Glen " aren't you going to miss your slot?" I laughed slightly

"Right" he said, rushing off, Remoraid started by using water pulse, creating a small blast of water in the air, which Remoraid swam through "Aurora Beam!" Glen said, as the rainbow beam came out of remoraid, hitting the ceiling, as rainbow rings spread out through the arena "...now, end this with water pulse!" he said, as Remoraid shot another blast of water, joining the rings at the top of the hall, forming a dome out of water, as the rainbow colors started to reflect off the water "Return" Glen said, returning Remoraid before it even hit the floor, taking a bow, heading off stage hoping he made it through, finding Georgie once off the stage
