Vivian: And we have randomized our teams, and have our first pair up, Sidney Mercer and Clarity Irving!
*The crowd cheered as Skyla sat down beside the group to watch the show herself*
*The Two trainers made their way to the stage, Sid in a red and black jacket, and a pair of black pants, hair spiked with a red streak in it, looking more like a rocker than a traditional coordinator rolling his shoulder, seemingly taking it extremely lightly, while Clare came into the arena in a blue and white dress, in complete contrast to his, it was much more traditional dress, puffing out a bit at her shoulders and puffing out again at her hips, much calmer and serious to the whole event*
Sid: Heatmor!
Clare: Delibird! *Both Pokemon were sent out of their Pokeball*
Heatmor: HEATMOR! *The Pokemon let out a loud roar, shooting flames into the ground*
Delibird: Deli *Delibird delicately and calmly landed on the ground, bowing to the judges*
Skyla:.. So their show has already started
Sid: Flamethrower!
Clare: Ice Beam!
*Both Pokemon launched their very familiar attacks, but both seemed unnaturally odd to Daniel, Heatmor’s flamethrower was much wilder and unruly than normal, while the Ice Beam was much more and deliberate that anything Delibird would ever do, both attacks moving forward and colliding in the air, creating a swarm of steam that covered the ground, the smoke clearing to reveal Heatmor jumping up a few feet, over an ice punch, as she tried to launch a shadow claw at Delibird who easily avoided the attack*
*As if being one with their Pokemon, without so much as a word, the crowd could see Clare and Sid glare at each other, their Pokemon dancing around each other, darkness spreading upon each miss, as a small patch of ice appeared on each of Delibird’s miss, though it was clear each one was an intended spot, as when they finished their dance, both Pokemon ended up in the center of the remains of their attacks fists hit, but not an attack among them, in the air a clear picture was visible, a Delibird made of shadow and a Heatmor made of ice in each other’s embrace*
*Sid and Clare both smiled*
Sid: Fire Blast! *Sid held out his arm as he called out the attack*
Clare: Fly! *Clare held out her arm as she called out the attack, their hands clasping together as their show continued*
*Heatmor let out a Wild Fire Blast chasing after Delibird*
*Delibird flew in a straight and controlled manner away from the flames*
Sid and Clare: Now! *the two trainers stood back to back, as the attacks continued, the Fire Blast approached the flying Delibird became more controlled and timed spreading out at the very last second while Delibird flew faster and more might at the very last second, the Fire Blast expanding behind him and lighting up the room as he just narrowly avoided the attack*
Clare: Come on, Ice Beam! *Delibird landed and slided along the ground, facing Heatmor again, blasting a Wild Ice Beam at the Ant Eater Pokemon*
Sid: Flamethrower! *Heatmor launched a controlled and stylish Flamthrower, and unlike the visual stylings of steam from the last time, the more powerful ice and more precise fire created a different effect as the flames covered the ice, creating little fire balls that stayed lit along the ground as drops of water hit the flames but not enough to put them out*
*As the crowd cheered, the Two Pokemon ran to each other
Clare: Fly: Delibird ran up, grabbed Heatmor, and flew up into the air* Now Ice Beam! *High in the air, Delibird launched the attack*
Sid: Flamethrower! *Heatmor launched the attack, landing on the ground, ice on the pair’s feet, Heatmor blasting the attack high up into the ceiling*
*Clare and Sid both take a bow, their act finished, as a sheet of ice hit the ground, Heatmor and Delibird no where on the arena ground, the fire balls being put out by the pressure of the sheet of ice*
*Skyla looked at the roof, surprised Heatmor and Delibird Frozen feet in the roof, both Pokemon looking down at the arena floor instead of the other way around*
Skyla:….. an…… illusion with lights and mirrors to end their performance, but…… using ice and fire as stand ins for those traditional magician elements, a performance designed with the ideas of the contrasts between the elements of fire and ice along with the uniqueness of the unity that those two elements bring in together , focusing on their stronger attitudes to be able to pull off feats way too close for comfort for inexperienced trainers and Pokemon…..
