Alex was now a little freaked, replying, "B-B-But....Oh why even bother...."

Oshawott jumped off of Alex's shoulder saying, "Osha!" (Don't worry Alex, we can take him!)

"Alright" Hector said, standing at his side of the battlefield "Ref, explain the rules to the challenger"

"Oh right..." The other person said, making his way to the middle "This will be a two on two battle, the challenger can switch Pokemon at any time, however the gym leader is only aloud to after one of his Pokemon is unable to battle" the ref explain "No items of any sort can be used by any trainer during the battle"

The battlefield had the same hexagons on it as the rest of the building did, but was more for decoration, as it wasn't part of the hive and was a solid substance, overhead though the honeycomb stood, as bits and pieces of honey fell onto the battlefield from the roof of the impressively large building

Alex walked to one side with Oshawott. He awaited Hector's first choice. Hector threw out a Beedrill, and Alex decided to start out with Pikachu.

The referee said, "Begin!"



Alex ordered Pikachu, "Alright Pikachu, use Thunder Shock!"

Hector ordered Beedrill, "Dodge it and follow up with Fury Attack"

Beedrill dodged the electric attack and flew in at Pikachu and began to swipe with its needle arms. Pikachu did his best to dodge the attack.
Alex told Pikachu, "Try a Thunder Shock again!"

Pikachu tried another Thunder Shock, however it missed again.

Hector then told Beedrill, "Beedrill use Poison Sting."

Beedill fired numerous purple needles at Pikachu and it made direct contact, dealing some damage.

Hector told Beedrill, "Good now follow up with Twineedle."

Alex told Pikachu, "Hang in there Pikachu! Dodge and follow up with Thunder Shock!"

Beedrill attacked with the two needles, however he missed and his needle arms got stuck in the ground where he attacked. Pikachu was able to successfully use Thunder Shock and dealt heavy damage, knocking out Beedrill.

The referee announced, "Beedrill is unable to battle. The round goes to Pikachu."

Alex congratulated Pikachu, "Way to go Pikachu!"

Luke: Wow, Alex is doing great!

"Ya, one bug down just another one to go!" Owen cheered

Amelia watched Pikachu closely.

Hector returned Beedrill, saying, "Hmm good job dealing with Beedrill. Now it's time for my strongest Pokemon. Go Vespiquen!"

The large bee Pokemon was sent out and she began to eye the Pikachu.

Alex ordered Pikachu, "Alright Pikachu use Thudnerbolt!"

Hector ordered Vespiquen, "Dodge and use Fury Cutter."

Vespiquen dodged the electric attack and flew in close and began to swipe at Pikachu.

Alex ordered Pikachu, "Dodge it!"

Pikachu did his best to dodge, however soon he eneded up getting hit by some of the honey and struck Vespiquen and knocked out.

Hector looked up at the ceiling, saying, "Hmm it looks like the honey is starting to fall."

Alex returned Pikachu, thanking him, "You tried your best Pikachu." He looked at Oshawott and told him, "Oshawott you're up!"

Oshawott jumped onto the battlefield, looking up at the ceiling and noticing honey was falling, he jumped out of the way as some fell near him.

Hector ordered Vespiquen, "Alright Vespiquen use Toxic!"

Vespiquen shot some toxic gas at Oshawott.

Alex told Oshawott, "Alright Oshawott jump up and use Water Gun!"

Oshawott jumped up and blasted Vespiquen with Water Gun, making a direct hit.

Hector ordered Vespiquen, "Vespiquen use Aerial Ace!"

Vespiquen used Aerial Ace, swooping down at Oshawott, which Oshawott kept dodging.

Hector told Vespiquen, "Alright this Oshawott is a little fast for you. Use Attack Order!"

Vespiquen summoned numerous Combee which fired multicolored beams at Oshawott.

Alex told Oshawott, "Alright Oshawott dodge and try to use Razor Shell!"

Oshawott replied, "Oshaaa!" (This will be easy!) He kept dodging the beams, however he was eventually struck and the beams kept coming. He then jumped up and tried to attack Vespiquen.

Hector told Vespiquen, "Use Toxic!"

Vespiquen fired a toxic gas which poisoned Oshawott. Oshawott fell to the ground in some honey.

Alex gasped, "NO Oshawott!!"

Oshawott was affected by the poison, groaning, "Oshaaaa....Oshawott..." (Guuuhhh this is not good...I must keep going though...) He slowly got up, covered in the honey much to his disgust.

Hector told Vespiquen, "Good now use Fury Cutter."

Vespiquen flew down at Oshawott and tried to swipe at him.

Alex told Oshawott, "Alright Oshawott use your shell to fling some of that honey at Vespiquen's face!"

Oshawott grabbed his scalchop just in time and flung some honey at Vespiquen hitting her eyes and temporarily blinding her.

Alex told Oshawott, "Awesome now use Razor Shell!"

Oshawott got up and used Razor Shell on Vespiquen, making a direct hit and knocking her out.

The referee declared, "Vespiquen is unable to battle. That means the victory goes to Oshawott and Alex!"

Alex cheered, "We did it!!! Oshawott you were awesome!!"

Oshawott got up, still being poisoned. He managed to crack a smile and said, "Oshawott!" (I did it!) He was still covered in honey.

"You won..." Hector said, returning his Pokemon to his Pokeball "Here is an official badge representing your victory at this gym, you have earned this Honeycomb badge"



"Ready Luke? ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS!" he said throwing out rock

Alex took the badge, thanking Hector, "Wow thanks, Hector!" He placed the badge in a badge case he had. He looked down at Oshawott who was still poisoned and covered in honey. He grabbed a towel and used it to wipe the honey off of him. "YOu did excellent Oshawott. Now we just gotta cure that poison."

Oshawott wasn't feeling that good, but he was glad to win the battle. He said, "Oshaaa." (Just hurry up, I'm feeling really bad.)

Alex dug through his bag to find some antidote for Oshawott. He managed to find some and he used it on Oshawott.

Luke: Alright LET'S GO!
*Luke quickly decided On sissors*
....Darn it...*Realising he lost to Owen's much more powerful ROCK, God those Rocks are powerful, being all high and mighty to your sissors, Luke feels bad for for lower sissors, but now we're just getting off topic*

"So I get to go next" Owen then charged off to the arena

“Alright, so you are my next opponent” Hector stated as he returned to his side of the battlefield

“Yep, I am” Owen retorted as he stood at his end of the battlefield facing his enemy

“Let’s start this off strong Shroomish!” Owen started, sending out his first Pokémon

“Shroomish!” The creature cried out

“Alright, Beedrill, I choose you” Hector said sending out his first

“Begin!”

“Alright, Headbutt!” Owen excitedly exclaimed as his Pokémon jumped head first towards Beedrill, covered in a white wave over its head

“Twineedle” Hector countered as Beedrill flew towards the incoming Mushroom, extending one of its needles into colliding with the attack, however, both attacks seemed to be at equal strength, then Beedrill used its second needle to push Shroomish away

“Hey, that’s not fair!” Owen accused “Shroomish, can you keep going?”

The Mushroom Pokémon stood to it’s feet and nodded “Shroom” it let out

“Poison sting” Hector called out as the Bee launched some purple strands towards Shroomish “Now, fly up and prepare for a battle”

“Dodge, and use Stun Spore!” Owen cheered, as Shroomish jumped out of the way, and while he was doing that, Beedrill had dipped it’s needle into the Honey

“Now charge” Hector said, as Beedrill flew down towards Shroomish as the Mushroom shook, sending Yellow particles around, as they hit the incoming bee, but the creature then reached out and it’s needle covered in honey struck Shroomish, causing the Pokémon to scream out

“MISH!” The creature cried

“What the?” Questioned Owen

“The small scratch normally does next to nothing…” Hector explained “But the honey… makes it sting”

“Return for now!” Owen said, returning his creature “Mudkip, you take down this pest!” he said sending out his second Pokemon “Water Gun!” He said as his first Pokémon came out

“Fury Attack” Hector responded, as Beedrill tried to move but was unable to and was struck by the attack

“Alright, one hit!” Owen cheered “Another one!” he called out as Mudkip opened its mouth and fired another

“MUDKIP!” the Pokémon cheered as well when it launched the stream of water at the bee

“Beedrill, Twineedle” Hector responded, as Beedrill slowly stuck out it’s needles, using them to launch the water away from itself, though washing away the honey

“Alright Tackle!” Owen screamed

“KIP KIP KIP!” the creature said as it charged forwards and jumped towards the Bee

“Harden” Hector said, as Beedrill glistened for a second, before Mudkip tackled him

“Huh? How does it know that?” Owen asked confused

“A trick it had as a Kakuna” “Now, Twineedle” Hector called out, now that Mudkip was
close, Beedrill tried to move but found it next to impossible to

“Water Gun!” Owen said, cheering how close they were, as Mudkip launched the stream of water, knocking out Beedrill

"Now only Vespiqueen remains..." Amelia said aloud.

Alex said, "Looks like Owen is doing pretty good."

Crystal was watching the battle. "It looks like Hector's bringing out Vespiquen." She said.

“Kip kip!” Mudkip cheered in victory

“Alright, return Beedrill” Hector admitted in defeat as his Beedrill was returned to its Pokéball “Vespiquen, I trust this with you” he then tossed out his second Pokéball, revealing the queen bee Pokémon.

“KIP!” Mudkip cried getting ready for the fight

“Return!” Owen exclaimed as he returned his Mudkip back to his Pokéball “I’ll need you for later” Owen admitted “Go, Shroomish!” he continued, sending out his Mushroom Pokémon “Alright, let’s start this off with a Stun Spore!”

Shroomish then shook itself as the yellow powder exited it’s body and moved towards the queen Pokémon

“Gust” Hector retorted, as the queen started to flap it’s wings at a fast pace, starting to push both Shroomish and Owen back, as well as stopped the Stun Spore and pushed it back towards Shroomish, as the spores settled into the Pokémon.

“Shroomish!” Owen screamed in distress

“Alright, Power Gem the roof” Hector said, as the red gem on Vespiquen’s forehead lit up, as a beam was launched from it towards the roof,

“Another Stun Spore!” Owen reacted, as once again, Shroomish shook, producing the yellow spores which made their way to Vespiquen, as Vespiquen’s attack hit the roof, destroying a few of the hexagons and caused some of the honey to start to droop down constantly to the battlefield, and the spores settled onto Vespiquen, paralyzing it

“So this is what it comes to… Gust” Hector explained as Vespiquen began to flap it’s wings at the incredible speed once again, this time the attack actually sent the honey flying towards Shroomish

“Dodge!” Owen yelled, however, when Shroomish tried to jump out of the way the Pokémon was unable to and the attack hit him, as the honey bent around Shroomish, and the gust itself cooled it until Shroomish was encased in an amber-like substance

“Oh no, try and get out of there!” Owen worriedly said

“Attack Order” Hector commanded, however Vespiquen couldn’t move because of the paralysis “no matter…” Hector admitted

“Come on Shroomish!” Owen called out as his Creature tried to fight it’s way out

“Attack Order” Hector repeated, however, this time Vespiquen was able to move, creating a small swarm of tiny bee like creatures, who flew towards the trapped Shroomish, and struck it repeatedly, as the mushroom Pokémon tried to get out but was unable to

“Shroo!” the Pokémon writhed out in pain as it was struck by the attack and was knocked out

“Shroomish!” Owen called out worried for his Pokémon

“A valiant effort” Hector admitted “But he’ll be fine, you have a battle to finish”

“…Right” Owen acknowledged, “Return!” he said as he returned his Mushroom to its Pokéball “Mudkip, I guess it’s just me and you!”

“Mudkip!” cried the Pokémon as it came out of its Pokéball

“Water Gun!” Owen called out as his Pokémon launch the attack

“Gust” Hector responded, as Vespiquen flapped it’s wings and pushed the water off course, making the water gun miss Vespiquen, however, it didn’t just do that, as it also pushed the honey towards Mudkip

“Dodge!” Owen screamed, aware that if Mudkip got hit by the attack it would be all over, as Mudkip jumped out of the way and avoided the attack

“Attack Order” Hector continued, however, Vespiquen couldn’t move because of the Stun Spore

“Alright, Tackle it while it’s like that!” Owen cheerfully ordered, as Mudkip charged towards the bee, jumped towards it, and used it’s full force on the Bee Pokémon, knocking it back

“Well, let’s try another attack order” Hector thought out loud, as Vespiquen managed to muster up the ability to do the attack, and summoned the tiny bee like creatures that flew towards Mudkip

“Water Gun them down” Owen said confidently as Mudkip opened its mouth and hit the tiny bugs, making them dissipate

“Now, Power Gem” Hector retorted, as Vespiquen launched the pink beam from its forehead as it flew through the arena and struck Mudkip

“Mudkip!” Owen let out as the Pokémon got up

“Alright… Attack Order again” Hector repeated, as the bee tried to, but couldn’t launch the attack

“Alright let’s try this, tackle!” Owen said as Mudkip ran towards the bee “Now, get your head covered in honey!” Owen let out, and running by, Mudkip stuck it’s head in the honey, then remove the honey from over it’s eyes and it’s mouth “Now water gun!” Owen completed,

“Dodge” Hector said as his Pokemon tried to avoid the attacks, but couldn’t, because the water gun was at such a close range, when the attack splashed off Vespiquen it hit the honey, hardening it, as when the tackle finally made contact, it did more damage than normal and knocked out the bee Pokémon

“Vespiquen is unable to battle!” the announcer exclaimed “The winner is… Owen!”

Amelia clapped with a small smile.

Alex, Oshawott, and Crystal applauded Owen's victory.

"Return!" Owen exclaimed in victory, returning his honey covered Pokemon

"As you know, you have won in official Pokemon league institute, as a symbol of your victory at the Heyno town gym, I present you with the Honeycomb badge" Hector said



"Sweet, my first badge!" Owen said grabbing his first badge

Amelia then walked towards the door. "Excuse me for a minute." she walked out and looked into the night sky.

Luke: Alright FINALLY!!
It's my turn now!

"yep" Owen agreed "Now neither of us lost, so you can't either"

Amelia took off her necklace and held it in her hand, in the distance she seen a group of young kids, and a little girl who stood a little bit behind them.

"C'mon, Hope! Why do you always have to stare at us like that?" A boy said.

"Yeah, your lucky your still allowed to be with us!" A girl said.

The little girl, presumably named Hope took a step back. "I-Im sorry...I-I didn't mean to... I..."

"Ok, this girl is giving me the creeps, who stares at people like that? What a freak!" the boy said. The last word stirred something in Amelia.

"Let's just go..." the girl said, the whole group left her behind, and Amelia then approached her.

Alex said, encouraging Luke, "Go get em' Luke! You can do it!"

Hector: Now, We Begin!
Beedril go!!
Luke: Pansear let's battle!
Beedrill: Bee!!
Pansear: Sear..
*Some Honey Dropped behind Pansear, He instant turned to eat it*
Hector: What a Greedy lttle monkey!
Beedril, Twinneedle!
*Beedril flew at Pansear, with it's especially sharp needles*
Luke: Pansear, Don't just sit there scoffing, TURN AROUND AND STOP IT!
*Pansear turned around slowly, TO CATCH BEEDRIL'S NEEDLE AN INCH FROM IT'S FACE, with the same sleepy expression on his face, Pansear opened it's mouth and blasted Beedrill with a small ember, sending it back to it's trainer*
Luke: That's...
Hector: A lot of power for one a monkey like that..
But we shall not loose! Beedril Poison Sting!
*Beedril fired hundreds of Poison Needles at Pansear*
Luke: Pansear dodge!
*Despite Pansear's frame, it easily dodged the poison sting with ease*
Luke: Pansear Ember, Then Fury Swipes!
*Pansear shot a fireball into the air, distracting Hector and Beedril, Pansear then suprisingly moved quickly and then furiously sqiped Beedril*
Hector: AH! What Power!
*Pansear, Keeping the sleepy expression in it's eyes, gave a cocky smile*
Hector: Why you, Beedril, Twinneedle!!
*Pansear took the brunt of thw Twinneedle, In fact, he seems to be....Enjoying it*
Luke: This...Is a whole new side to him..
Meinfoo: Foo.(Whoa, That is one crazy monkey.)
*Beedril gave a critial hit to Pansear giant stomach, Suddenly a large rumbling noise was heard, Pansear's face bloated*
Luke: Uh-oh..
*Pansear belched a large powerful Flamethrower right into Beedril, Hector had to dodge this himself with his BADASS FLIPPING SKILLS, Beedril was char'd as well as KO'd*
Hector: My..
Luke: I'm not sure what to say myself..
Meinfoo: *speechless*
*Pansear scatched it's stomach*

Owen was near speechless "...how..."

Alex, Oshawott, and Crystal were all spechless over Pansear. Oshawott muttered, "Oshawott..." (That monkey is just crazy...)
