Tokai - Land of Tomorrow

Luke: Oh, He was doing so well...

"Oh..... he lost..." Owen said "H...how?"

Amelia looked towards the wounded Oshawott and looked downwards.

Alex sighed as he rejoined the others, a bit upset by losing to Landon. His Pokemon were severely beaten by Landon's Hippowdon and he knew he had to find a Pokemon Center. He held his Oshawott close to him.

Luke: It'll be alright Alex..

"So..... that just leaves Daniel" Owen said "Where the heck is he anyway?"

Luke: Daniel!!?
Daaaan...NEEEEEEEEIILLL!

After Daniel "straighten up" his mind, he began practicing his pokemon with Vartino.

*After training for few minutes*
"Well, guess I'll try to battle the gym now" said Daniel. He turned to Vartino "Wanna come?".

"Hmph, of course" said Vartino. They began walking back to the gym.

Once they arrived, Daniel turned to others and said "Sorry, I went out for too long". "By the way, I want you to meet my childhood friend, Vartino Nicolas". He then said "Landon, now's my turn to battle".

"Hi everyone, you also can call me Vart" said Vart. He sat down on a bench

"Ok, go to your position then" said Landon. They walked to the battlefield

The Refree said "The Challenger, Daniel Einos against The Gym leader, Landon, now BEGIN!".

"Do your best, Togepi". Daniel sent out Togepi.

"Go, Digglet". Landon sent out Diglett.

"Hit her with Mud Slap". Diglett start smearing mud to Togepi.

Togepi got hit.

"Hit it again" Diglett start do the same.

"Meterome". Togepi wagged her hands and it become Bounce, that make her jumped high, dodging the attack. She then stomped him.

"Dig through". Diglett burrowed through underground.

"Meterome". Togepi does it again and it become Razor Wind. Strong winds began surround her.

Diglett tried to attack Togepi. The wind then pushing and hurting Digglet, because Togepi wasn't strong enough, she's also got thrown.

Seeing Togepi's condition, Daniel switched his pokemon to Turtwig. He said "I almost forgot, I'm only had 2 pokemon".

"Okay, then" said Landon.

"Razor Leaf".

"Not so fast, bulldoze the area". Diglett began shaking the ground on the battlefield, negating the accuracy of the Razor Leaf as well hurting and slowing Turtwig down.

One of the razor leaf came back to Turtwig. "Grab it and try to slash Diglett". Turtwig quickly grabbed the leaf and ran to Diglett. He then tried to slash Diglett.

"Go down to dodge". However, Diglett didn't go down in time and got fainted.

Landon returned Diglet and sent out Hippodown.

"Threw the leaf". Turtwig threw the leaf.

"Blew it with Sandstorm". Hippodown began creating sandstorm, which almost hurting Turtwig everytime.

"Tackle him". Turtwig ran to the Hippodown and smashed him. "And use Leaf Storm". Turtwig began threw a lot of leaves with all his might and succeeding threw Hippodown. Turtwig became exhausted.

"Nice try, but that wasn't good enough". "Fire Fang". Hippodown went to Turtwig and bit him.

Thinking that Turtwig already had enough and Togepi is fit enough. Daniel switched Turtwig to Togepi.

"Meterome". Togepi wagged her hand and it become Role Play, coping Hippodown ability as well protect herself from sandstorm.

"That's won't do much, Crunch her". Hippodown placed her to his mouth.

Daniel quickly & confidently said "Meterome". As to both Daniel & Togepi's horror, it became Explosion. She blew herself up, fainting both Togepi & Hippodown.

Daniel, in tears held Togepi and thought "Togepi, I'm sorry.....".

"Both Togepi & Hippodown are unable to battle and because Daniel had 1 more pokemon left, the winner is Daniel" said the referee.

Landon approached Daniel "I feel sorry for the bittersweet victory, and here's your badge". He gave the badge to Daniel.

Daniel wipes his tears and put the badge away.

"You shouldn't rely too much on luck" said Landon.

Daniel went back to others.

OOC: I'm sorry, after my exam, I'm suddenly got many homework.

Luke:...Wow.

"so... a tie?" Owen said "Well that's sorta cheap, we had to win for our badge" Owen complained

Luke: SO what now?
Does Alex have a re-match or should we move on?

Vart said to Daniel "If you followed my advice not too much relying to luck...".

Daniel kept quiet while holding Togepi.

Alex was still upset over losing, and he didn't know what to do at the moment, other than getting his Pokemon to the Pokemon Center. "I'm so sorry, buddy..." He said to his Pokemon as he held him close. "We gotta go the the Pokemon Center right now..." He said to the others.

"That's right." Amelia nodded.

Owen took the group to the centre "Great..... more time to just sit around and do nothing...."

Luke: *Smacks Owen with a Fan* Hey, Alex's pokemon are hurt y'know.

Alex walked to the Pokemon Center and approached the counter, holding out his Oshawott to Nurse Joy. "Nurse Joy please help my Pokemon!" He said, also handing her his other two pokeballs.

"I'll help them in no time! I take it they must've been in battle with Landon." She replied

Alex just sighed, nodding as she took his Pokemon.

"Hope they are ok..... it's more just this waiting I can't stand...." Owen said

Amelia looked deeply into the pokeballs, seeming to be looking at the pokemon within. She then turned to Alex. "They said they will be fine."

Daniel quickly to Nurse Joy and said "Wait, my pokemon also need medical attention". He gave Turtwig & Togepi's pokeball.

"Ok, I'll heal them too" said Joy.

Daniel sat down while looking down.

Vart wordlessly looked to Alex & Daniel.

Luke: Well sitting here will accomplish Nothing.
Let's do something while Alex and Neil's pokemon heal.

Alex's Pokemon needed a bit of time before they were healed and Alex was quite upset by his loss. "Where did I go wrong...I failed my Pokemon, I lost, and I have no clue how I can defeat him..." He muttered to himself.

"A possible tactic would be to take your last plan, and do the exact opposite. You never know, it could lead a win." Amelia said.

She then walked over to the window, looking at the town's scenery. "Everything so far seems too rural to contain any sort of lab..." she said to herself quietly.

"Why think of a tactic? Why not wing it? If you don't fall into a natural rythem, you constantly won't feel comfortable on how you fight" Owen said

Luke: You just need a little more training is all!
