Pokemon: Kalos Adventures

Guy: Geeze, I knew I'd be going home soon but I've been at this for like.. what a few hours?
So, Dani.... uh, what's story? why'd a guy with a big bad poke come after you?
You secretly like a big organization leader's kid or something?

Daniel: *scratches head* Aha, uh...I guess its just a case of wrong place, wrong time *thinking face*....then again, that doesn't really explain all the other times. 
Minun: Mai mai! *chuckles*
Daniel: I mean, you should know since you're travelling with us, we kinda get into these sort of situations all the time, they just have a habit of working out in the end. Although, last time it got pretty rough, my previous friends decided to stay behind because of how rough it got. But I'm sure that won't be the case this time! Kalos! New beginnings! Right Minun? 
Minun: Mai
Daniel: So tell me about yourself! 



James arrived at the gym! He pushed through the doors, and entered with Turtwig behind him. 
James: I'm here to face the owner. 
Suddenly, flashes lit up the gym. 
A young girl emerged, holding a camera. 
Viola: The names Viola! Welcome to my gym! 
James: Thanks! I challenge you!
Viola: Oh, not a patient one are you! I accept! 2 on 2 okay?
James: But I've only got....*looks at Turtwig* oh. SURE! 
Referee: The match between Gym Leader Viola and challenger James shall now begin!
Viola: I choose! Surskit! 
James: Right! Charmander get out there! *throws pokeball*
Charmander: CHAR!
Viola: A fire type?  We've got this. As the challenger, you make the first move.
James: Okay. Charmander! Attack!
.............
........
Charmander stood still.
Charmander: Char?
James: Ugh! Charmander I SAID ATTACK!
Viola: Give it an attack then. 
James: I did.....didn't I?
Viola: Woah....I know I'm usually the first gym for trainers, but woah. You don't even know how to attack yet you have 2 pokemon already. 
James: Uh...well...
Viola: Use your pokedex, assuming you have one. 
James: Okay! *pulls out pokedex* 
Pokedex: Charmander's special attack, Rage. It gains more power the more it is attacked. It will continue to fight until its opponent falls. Charmander's known moves are Ember, Leer, Smokescreen and Scratch. 
James: So, use the last one. Uh Scratch! 
Charmander ran at Surskit. 
Viola: Dodge! Use Water Gun! 
Surskit swiftly moved aside then squirted Charmander from behind. 
Charmander: CHAR! *collapses*
Referee: Charamander is unable to battle. 
James: Eh ?  What happened?
Viola: Every trainer should know, Water is super effective against Fire. 
James: Oh. So I lost.
Viola: Not yet, you still have another pokemon! 
James: Oh. Yeah. *picks Turtwig up and throws into battle* 
Turtwig: Turt! 
Viola: Let's wrap this up! Action! Use Ice Beam! 
The arena became frozen.
Viola: Finish it! Signal Beam! 
Just as Surskit was about to attack, Turtwig used Earth Power, causing the ground to shake! Cracking the ice on the ground, and sending Surskit into the air. 
Turtwig then attacked using Seed Bomb!  
The seeds hit Surskit whilst it was in the air, exploding, bringing a fainted Surskit to the ground. 
Viola: Impossible! Return! How did you do that! You didn't even give a command.
James: Truth be told, I don't own this pokemon. 
Viola: What? No! Then by official Pokemon Kalos League rules, this gym battle will be terminated! You must only enter gyms when using your own pokemon.
James: Oh? I had no idea. 
Viola: Clearly, you really are new to this.
James: Im not even sure if I want to be a trainer truth be told. 

Guy: Me?
I'm not anyone special, lived a pretty normal life with me and my dad in Santalune, Not sure where or who my mom is, but I don't really care. I'm not really sure if I wanted this journey or what to do on it...
Fennekin: Kin! Kin! *hops into his arms*

Guy: I guess... I can enjoy pokemon though.

Elsewhere along the route, 2 pokemon stood overlooking a road below.

The 2 pokemon were a Pyroar and Litleo, however, the Litleo was of a different colouring to normal Litleo. 
Pyroar: (Litleo my son, promise me you will never go down onto this road, for it is a dangerous path where trainers capture wild pokemon like you and I) 
Litleo: (I promise) 
Pyroar: (Now show me that Roar!) Py...ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR! 
Litleo: R......R........Ra....
Pyroar: (Good attempt, you'll get there eventually) 
Suddenly from the bushes appeared a Luxray. 
Luxray: (Pyroar, we have a problem, some of the Shinx and Litleo from the pack have wandered onto the road) 
Pyroar: (But how?)
Luxray: (They were chased by a group of Mightyena) 
Pyroar: (Luxray, take Litleo back to the pack, I'll go down and save them)
Luxray: (Yes your majesty) 
Pyroar raced down the hill and onto the road below to find the Litleo and Shinx. 
Luxray led Litleo back through the bushes. 
Luxray smirked
Luxray: (Litleo, go on ahead, I'm going to go help your father) 
Litleo: (But.....) 
Luxray raced back towards the road. 
Luxray: (I'll finish off Pyroar, whilst the Mightyena deal with Litleo, then I'll be king of the pack)
Pyroar managed to get the Litleo and Shinx back up the hill so that they were safe, then he began to climb himself.

Suddenly, a bolt of electricity hit the rocks beside him. 
Pyroar: (Luxray? Is that you? What are you doing?) 
Luxray: (Goodbye old friend) 
Luxray used Thunderbolt, striking Pyroar and knocking him onto the road below, where a trainer was walking. 
Luxray: (Excellent) 
Luxray rushed back to the pack. 

Litleo was wandering along the route, when suddenly 3 Mightyena appeared. 
Litleo: (Ah! Mightyena! They chased the others....) 
Litleo turned back running as fast as he could. 
Litleo: (Daddy!! Help me) 
Litleo ran towards the end of the hill, skidding as he almost fell off. 
Below he could see a young trainer capture his father! 
Litleo: (DADDY! NO! Please! Somebody! Help me! Anybody! Please) 
The 3 Mightyena appeared
Mightyena: (Give it up kid!) 
Litleo then ran once again, tears streaming down his face. 



Daniel: So you don't know what to do? I wouldn't worry about that mate, see, you'll find something whilst on your journey, you'll try out many new things and experiences that you'll soon discover your true calling. 
Minun: Mai
Daniel: Me and Minun always knew we would travel and earn gym badges ever since the day we met, but we've met so many different friends, many of which didn't know what they wanted to do, but now each and everyone of them is doing what they love to do and they're all fantastic at it. 
Out of the bushes appeared a tired and bruised Litleo. 
Daniel: Woah...that pokemon its hurt! 
Litleo saw Daniel and Guy, and got scared, it then began to run again, when suddenly the 3 Mightyena appeared in front of it. 
Daniel: Seems like those 3 Mightyena are giving this little guy grief. Minun! Let's help it out! Guy watch this! 
Minun: Mai!
Minun jumped in front of Litleo. 
Daniel: Minun use Thunderbolt! 
Minun used Thunderbolt on the ground in front of the Mightyena. 
Daniel: Leave this little guy alone! 
Mightyena: HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWL
The 3 Mightyena ran back through the bushes. 
Litleo was panting and out of breath, it then fell to the floor. 
Daniel: Its hurt! We need to get it to a pokecenter. *picks up Litleo* I wonder what pokemon it is.
Pokedex: Litleo, the Lion Cub Pokemon. The stronger the opponent it faces, the more heat surges from its mane and the more power flows through its body.
Daniel: A Litleo, and this one is of a different colour to the one in the pokedex. Guy. we have to hurry to Santalune City.
The 2 trainers raced onwards

Guy: Ugh, I didn't expecting so much running involved, we're not far now.
*In-between Guy's mutterings and directions, The two raced past a large fountain*

Daniel  and Guy arrived at the pokecenter
Daniel: Nurse! Please we need assistance! 
Nurse Joy and Wigglytuff came rushing to the 2 boys. 
Nurse Joy: Oh no! What happened?
Daniel: We think some wild pokemon attacked it.
Minun: Mai
Nurse Joy: Poor thing
Wigglytuff took Litleo and Nurse Joy led it to the surgery room. 
Nurse Joy: We'll get to work right away. Its going to be while.
Daniel: Right! So  Guy, we're in Santalune City right? Apparently the person who has Turtwig is here. I'm going to go find him! 
Daniel and Minun left the pokecenter to look for Turtwig.
Daniel: Minun! Can you find Turtwig's scent?
Minun began to sniff the ground.
Minun: Mai mai! 
Minun then began to head off in a direction. 
Daniel: That's it! Good  job! 

James left the gym along with Turtwig and Charmander. 
James: I guess maybe I'm not meant to be a trainer then. I can't even beat the easy gym leaders. 
Turtwig: Turtwig! 
Charmander: Char! Char
James: MEH, it'll all work out in the end, I'll find my calling eventually. 
Suddenly, Minun jumped onto Turtwig! 
Minun: Mai mai mai mai!
Turtwig: Turtwig! Turtwig! 
James: HUH? What? Who's this??  *pokedex*
Pokedex: Minun, the Cheering Pokemon. Minun cares more for its teammates than for itself, sending off showers of sparks while cheering them on.
James: I'm guessing you know each other?
Daniel appeared calling out for Turtwig!
Daniel: TURTWIG BUDDY! YOU'RE OKAY!
Turtwig tried to run towards Daniel, but was stuck on the lead. 
Daniel: Turtwig! AHA! Hi there, you found my Turtwig! Thanks so much for looking after him. 
James: No sweat. Shouldn't you look after your pokemon better though?
Daniel: Well you see, we were attacked and Turtwig got separated. 
James: You mean its dangerous going on a journey?
Daniel: Well.....uh yeah, I guess it is. In a way, but its also a lot of fun.
James: So I should go on an adventure? 
Daniel: Ah.....yeah?
James: Hey hang on......you owe me a new car.
Daniel: HUH?
James: Your Turtwig smashed through the windscreen of my car and now my Mam won't pay for it. So I have to walk....I hate walking. 
Daniel: But....but I haven't got that sort of money. 
James: Then you're going to have to repay me some other way
Daniel: UH......hang on, your accent, your not from around here. That accent is native to Hoenn. 
James: Well yeah, that's where I'm from. 
Daniel: I used to live there when I was younger, I've also travelled around there too. 
James: Cool story bro. 
Daniel:........
James:  So  you're going to repay  me for my car yeah?
Daniel: How?
James: You're an experienced trainer? My Mam and Dad have cut off my funds  because they want me to experience living for myself. They said in order to do so I need to become a pokemon trainer just like them. So you're going  to teach me how to  do  that. 
Daniel:  Teach  you to become a trainer? Well....um the best way to do that is to go on your own  journey.  
James:  Then I'll go with you on yours and you can teach me along the way.
Daniel: Well I could but so far I don't like your  attitude.
James: You'll get used to it. Now come  come, we go to the pokecenter now.
James walked towards the pokecenter.
Daniel: Wow. That guy has got an  attitude problem.....talk about spoilt........Hey Turtwig! *picks up Turtwig* Am I glad to have you back! Let's get you checked out at the pokecenter. 
Daniel followed James back to the center, where they reunited with Guy.
Daniel: Guy! Meet my  other travelling buddy, Turtwig! 
Turtwig: TURT!
Daniel: Turtwig, this is our new friend  Guy, we're  going to be travelling together.

Guy: Zzzz... *Guy had apparently fell asleep waiting* 
Wha...what, oh, found im already?
You sure work fast, that's some sort or Tiny Plant Turtle alright.
Who's the other guy?

Daniel: Actually, that's a good question.
James: My name is James. 
Daniel: Well, my names, Dan, and this is Guy. 
James: Cool...I'm your new travelling partner, Dan here is going to show me the ropes.
Daniel: Wait, I never actually agreed to that. 
James: Please...we know you will
Daniel: Listen, don't just invite yourself along, and first of all sort out your attitude. 
James: Attitude?
Daniel: Yeah you expect everything to be handed to you. If you expect that, you'll never make it as a trainer, the roads are tough, the journey is long, but the experience is phenomenal. 
James:.....
Minun: Mai

Nurse Joy approached the gang. 
Nurse Joy: Litleo is recovering, I must say I've never seen a colouring like that for a Litleo. Its unusual. 
Daniel: Can we go see it? 
Nurse Joy: Of course. 
Daniel and the gang entered a room, Litleo was lying on a bed. 
Daniel: Hey there! I'm Dan, this my Minun and Turtwig, we brought you here because you were in bad shape but you're going to get better now. 
Litleo: Lit Raaaaa
Daniel: See you're a lot brighter and lively now.
James watched Daniel interacting with the wild pokemon, then looked at his Charmander. 
Daniel: You must of had a tough time, but I promise you, those Mightyena won't hurt you no more, Minun here scared them off.
Minun: Mai Mai
Litleo: Raaa
Litleo stood up and began to lick Daniel. 
Daniel: Aha! There we go! Look, you're much stronger now. 
Nurse Joy: Oh, fantastic, Litleo is feeling better, I guess that means it can return to the wild. 
Daniel: Mmmmm. 
Litleo: Raa
Minun nodded, Turtwig too
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig Turt
Daniel: Litleo, how would you like to come with me on a journey?
Litleo stared, it began to back away a little.
Daniel: I promise to look after you, and I'll help you to find your strength so you can stand up to those Mightyena in the future, if you ever come across them again.
Litleo again, stared at Daniel. 
Minun: Mai Mai....Mai Mai Mai Mai Mai Mai
Turtwig: Twig! TURTWIG! Turtwig Turtwig
Litleo looked back at the 2 pokemon, then looked at Daniel. 
Litleo: Lit! Lit! 
It then approached Daniel and began to lick him again.
Daniel: Really ? Great! Fantastic! 
Daniel grabbed a pokeball, and pressed it against Litleo, the ball opened up and Litleo went inside, the ball shook 3 times then clicked. 
Daniel: Alright! GO!
Litleo came back out of the ball. 
Minun and Turtwig greeted it.
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig! 
Daniel: Welcome to the gang! 
Litleo: RA RA! *smiles* 
James cleared his throat.
James: How....how do understand Pokemon like that?
Daniel: What do you mean? 
James: Its like you know what they are saying and that. 
Daniel: Its...its something that comes naturally, look at Charmander there, you both understand each other....right?
James: I.....I dunno.
Charmander: Char Char! 
James: Sometimes I think I do, but then other times I don't. 
Charmander: Char! 
Daniel: That's how it is at first, but you begin to develop bonds with them, I can see you and Charmander have a bond. 
James: We do? 
Daniel: Sure, Charmander stays out of its pokeball, you must be able to sense that it wanted to do that because of your bond.
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig
Daniel: Believe me, you'll begin to understand Charmander and other pokemon more and more. Listen, if you still want to travel with me and Guy, you can, and yes, I'll help you. 
James: Really? I'm not great at meeting people at first, but I'll work on my attitude
Daniel: Great, I understand, and we'll take you under our wing and show you the ropes, but you can't go around expecting everything to be handed to you. 
James: I won't I promise.
Turtwig: Turtwig! 
James: Is Turtwig welcoming me?
Daniel: Yes, seems you 2 built a bond whilst me and Turtwig were separated hey?
James: Yeah...I guess we did.
Daniel: Besides, I have to take you with me, I owe you for reuniting me with Turtwig. 
Turtwig: Turt!
Daniel: So James, Guy! Ready for adventures? 
James: Yeah! 
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig! 
Charmander: CHAR!

Fennekin: FENN-FEN! *Fennekin blew out a puff of Magic Fire*
*Guy had shifted to lying down on the Poke-center cushions, idly kicking his legs in the air as he watched the goings on*
Guy: Mmm'yeah I suppose.

James:  And I can provide for the groups hungry needs! I'm an ace chef! 
Daniel: Awesome! Now then, guess its time to register to the Kalos league. 
Nurse Joy: I can help with that! Please  may I have you pokedex!
Daniel handed over his pokedex.
Nurse Joy placed the pokedex into a computer
Nurse Joy: Daniel, Age 20, from Nuvema Town. All done!
Daniel: Great! 
Nurse Joy:  There is  also a gym in this town too, you should try it out. Is there anything else I can help with??

Guy:.....Eh why not.
Hey, Nurse Joy, sign me up too.
*Guy waved the pokedex from Professor Sycamore and gave it to Nurse Joy*
Nurse Joy: Alright, Guy, Age 19, from Santalune City.
Guy: Aaaand it's done, Thanks.
Nurse Joy: You're welcome!

Outback
Jude: Houndour, Ember! *The dog Pokemon launched embers at it's opponent*
Walter: Gallade, detect *Gallade moved out of the way of the attack* now brick break *the Pokemon flew in towards the dog Pokemon
Jude: Roar *houndour began to roar, but was hit before it could be launched, knocking the Pokemon down*
Walter: Yet again, I keep telling you Jude, you two aren't strong enough to go out on your own

Daniel: Let's go outside and have a sparring session? Time to try out Litleo hey? 
Litleo: RA RA!
The group headed out back of the pokecenter. They could see trainers practicing, including Jude and Walter.
James: It's busy out here. 
Charmander: Char Char!
Daniel: So then, what do you say Litleo? Ready? I need a sparring partner though. James? Guy? 
James: I'll do it, but I'm not sure what to do! 
Daniel: Its simple, call your pokemon to attack, and we fight, its a simple battle to help us practice. 
James: Right...
James began to think about what happened at the Santalune gym battle. 
Daniel: Litleo GO!
James: Turtwig I choose you!
Turtwig: Turt? Turtwig!
Daniel: No...haha, James, that's not what happens, you use Charmander, your pokemon, Turtwig is my pokemon. 
James: Yeah but Turtwig is stronger than Charmander right now, and I've already used him in battle.
Daniel: You have? 
James: Yeah against the Santalune gym leader. 
Daniel: You used Turtwig in a gym match? 
James: Yeah? We lost though. 
Daniel: Oh right! Well then, call out Charmander and we'll get things started, Guy if you could referee the match! 
James: Charmander, prepare for battle! 
Daniel: Litleo! Ready! 
Litleo: Litleo!
Charmander: CHAR!
Daniel: Litleo use Tackle! 
Litleo ran towards Charmander
Charmander was knocked backwards. 
James: Now I attack? Charmander Scratch!
Charmander ran towards Litleo! 
Daniel: Litleo! Dodge and use Tackle again! 
Litleo jumped out of the way and then knocked Charmander over. 
James: No fair, your Litleo can't move and then attack. 
Daniel: Of course it can, the whole point of the battle is to not get hurt, and try and counter as many attacks as possible. Attack again, and I'll show you a counter attack. 
James: Scratch! 
Charmander again ran at Litleo. 
Daniel: Litleo! Jump to the left, then Tackle! 
Litleo moved out of the way, then attacked Charmander again. 
Daniel: And that's a counter attack, you stop the other opponent from attacking and then attack yourself, you can do this by dodging or using another attack. Attack again, and I'll show you. 
James: Scratch! 
Daniel: Litleo use Ember! 
Litleo let out flames at the oncoming Charmander, who was stopped in its tracks and hurt by the flames. 
James:.......
Charmander fell to the floor exhausted. 
Daniel: And that's a wrap then, as Charmander can't attack anymore, which means Litleo wins. Good job Litleo! 
Litleo: Lit! RAA
Daniel: And nice job Charmander you were ace. 
James: But why congratulate Charmander on losing? It lost? 
Daniel: Its important to show Pokemon that its okay to lose, you put up a great fight, so you deserve to be congratulated for your efforts. 
James: I just don't see the point. 
Daniel: Again, it reinforces a bond with your pokemon, try it out
James: Uh....good job Charmander!
Charmander: Char Char! 
The flame on Charmander's tail grew. 
Daniel: See Charmander's happy. 
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig! 
James: I see....
Daniel: Take a look around, you too Guy, and look at all the people training, watch their battles, you'll see how they with their pokemon, win or lose.

Walter and Jude had gone another Round

Walter: Close Combat! *Gallade launched a flurry of attacks, knocking Houndour out* I told you, you aren't ready to head out in the real world yet
Jude:....We need to get out there though, we can't just stand here and do nothing our whole life
Walter: I am not letting you leave until you, or someone who will watch over you can beat Gallade

Daniel's ears pricked up.  
Daniel approached  Walter and  Jude.
Daniel:  Hey  I  couldn't  help  but hear, but how  is this guy suppose to get stronger if all he does is  battle the same pokemon, if you let him go on a  journey he can grow stronger, he'll battle  plenty of different pokemon and  he can  learn from the  experiences.
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turt

Walter: I make my rules, and they are very clear, I will not let him leave into the world until he, or someone strong enough proves to me that they have the strength to keep him out of harms way

James: You know someone like you should learn to listen to others. I was adamant that I couldn't bond with Pokemon, but then I met Dan, and I'm learning all about bonding with Pokemon. You should take his advice.
Charmander: CHAR CHAR!

Walter: ....if you are so confident, then why don't one of you face us and prove to me your ideals are stronger than mine

James: We could beat you. Dan's got all the experience he needs to win. 
Daniel: So if one of us beats you, you'll lay off and let him go on a journey like he wants  too? Fine then, bring it on! Turtwig, let's go! 
Turtwig: Turt! 
Turtwig jumped off Daniel's shoulder and into the battle.

Walter: Gallade, show them where he belongs *Gallade walks to the battlefield*

Daniel: Litleo! Why don't you watch this battle! 
Litleo: Litleo!!
Daniel: Okay, Turtwig use Seed Bomb!
Turtwig fired many seeds at Gallade, with the aim of exploding upon impact

Walter: Psycho Cut *Gallade launched a project hitting some of them with the aerial slash, causing a smokescreen to avoid letting Daniel see some of his hit* Following it up with a Night Slash! *Gallade quickly moved in and tried to strike Turtwig with it`s elbow blades

Turtwig looked around, as it was difficult to see.
Daniel: Man, that's good, using the smoke to hide! Turtwig, expect an attack! 
Turtwig: Turtwig! 
Turtwig was struck by the attack.
 Turtwig: TUUURRRTWIG! 
Turtwig got back up.
Daniel: Okay Turtwig, its all about timing our perfect move here, so let's use Earth Power for now. 
Turtwig: TURT!
The ground began to shake rapidly and then began to break

Walter: Psycho Cut *Gallade tried to move, using the attack, but clearly at alot weaker state than normal

Daniel: Turtwig! Its weaker than before! Bombard it with Seed Bomb! And along the floor too! 
Seed Bombs were flung into Gallade's direction and also scattered along the ground.
