Pokemon: Kalos Adventures

*Delibird stood up proud*
Clare:.....I am not why I care so much about this, and I understand how you feel, but I never participated in this league because I wanted to win it against my brother, in my youth, I was a volleyball player, that much sorta slipped out in my last battle, before my accident that left me blind as a bat for a few years, but the truth is, I was the setter, the one setting up the shots, never the one scoring the points, because I don't need glory to be happy
Delibird: Bird bird *Delibird looked at the ground*
Clare: I set up others to make their dreams a reality, and me beating my brother is not the dream we are fighting for..... it's Delibird's to be the strongest Pokemon there is
*Delibird looked at the ground sad at that*
Clare: Hey, hey hey, relax Delibird, how many times have I told you, my dream is to make yours a reality, you don't have to worry about me, I will be great as long as you are
*Delibird slowly looks up, and nods*
Clare: I am willing to do whatever I have to to make my Pokemon happy, and in this case, it's for Delibird to prove to himself that he is better than Poliwrath

Daniel: Then use that to motivate you in your battle tomorrow, not all of these tactics. Share your pokemon's dream and make them a reality, that's how you win, you've got something to help you win right there, you just need to use that passion.

Clare: I have a passion for winning, and regardless of what happens today I will give it my best, but I figured, that maybe working with more than that might give us a better chance, while I do believe in my Pokemon....I am an ice type specialist, taking on a water type specialist..... water resists ice...... I figured I could use all the helpful pointers a seasoned vet like yourself could offer
*Delibird pulled at her pant leg, pointing at him as if encouraging her into doing something*
Clare:...while I have you here *she nervously started to roll her fingers around each other, looking at the ground* ...after this league... after this whole thing is done, me and my brother decided we will need some space from one another to grow more as people.....so I was wondering....w.....would it be ok if I joined you on your journey? You know, you seem like a really cool guy and I'd like to get to know you better
*Delibird had a sly smile at that remark, looking at his trainer, before looking at Minun and Turtwig seemingly trying to see if they picked up on anything either*
Clare: Plus not to mention the rest of your friends, and to help out your little friend Evan to the best of my abilities
*she sat there nervously waiting for a response, her legs swaying a bit as she waited for a response*

Daniel: Hang on now, I don't even know where I'm going after here............I haven't planned that far ahead. 
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig
Both of his pokemon looked at him, wondering what laid ahead of them after the league. 
Daniel: Besides, why not see what happens here at the league first?

Clare: ...It doesn't really matter where I go next, I just want to travel around a bit, see more of the world, and, to train Delibird I'd need to travel with the strongest trainers I can find *she lightly pushes his shoulder* and you are one of the strongest trainers I know, and wherever you go,it will surely be full of adventure, which at least makes it interesting for me

Daniel: Well uh...like I said, we should focus on the league first. And as for Evan *seeming to take offence* I like to think I'm handling looking after him quite well. Thanks. 
Minun: Mai *shrugs* 
Turtwig: Twig! *shakes head*

Clare: S....sorry, didn't mean to offend, I just get a bit too giddy about helping people
Delibird: Bird bird *shakes his head disappointed in Clare*
Clare:...will you at least about it after the league is done?

Daniel: We'll see.......
Daniel along with his two pokemon began to walk away.

*Clare pulled off her glasses, putting her items away*
Delibird: Deli....Delibird
Clare: We are as ready for tomorrow as we will be
Delibird: Bird bird
Clare: Don't worry, don't worry, I won't let something like that distract me from your goal, especially something so childish of me, we will win tomorrow, no matter what
Delibird: Bird *Delibird nodded, standing up*

The next day, Clare and Finn made their way to the arena, both clearly nervous, but both also eager, ready to show the world what they were capable of, starting off the round of triple battles

Clare: ….alright, we can do this
Finn: You ready to lose sis?
Clare: There is no way I am going to lose here, after all we’ve worked for
Finn: You know we have been working just as hard as you right?
Judge: This will be a triple battle, each trainer ready?
Clare: Yes
Finn: You know it
Judge: Let the battle begin!
Finn: Poliwrath, Golduck, Crawdaunt, let’s go *Finn sent out his three Pokemon, Poliwrath standing in the center*
Clare: Delibird, Beartic, Froslass, let’s go!
Judge: Begin!

Finn: Poliwrath, Hydro Pump, Crawdaunt Sludge Wave *Both Pokemon launched their attacks, Hydro Pump flying towards Delibird, as Crawdaunt blasted a wave of purple sludge into the Hydro Pump, completely changing it’s color*
Clare: Dodge! *Delibird tried to avoid the attack, but was too slow, the poisonous hydro Pump hitting it*
Finn: Poliwrath, Golduck, Fling Aqua Jet Beartic *Golduck jumped up, only to be grabbed by Poliwrath and chucked forward, using Aqua Jet mid air to add speed to the attack, crashing in on Beartic and landing behind Clare’s Pokemon*
Clare: Froslass Shadow Ball! *Froslass let out the attack, charging towards the repositioned Golduck*
Finn: Shadow Claw and X-Scissors! *Golduck moved in closer as Crawdaunt moved in from Froslass’ turned back, Golduck cutting the attack out of the air before both of Finn’s Pokemon switched sides, each landing their respective attack on Froslass, Finn clearly running circles around her*

Clare: W…we can do this
Finn: I am giving you all I have Clare, I will win this and prove how strong I am
Clare: I will not go down without a fight
Finn: Not if you keep this up
Clare: Icy Wind, Aqua Jet and Thunderbolt! *Delibird got up, breathing a small layer onto Beartic, who then became covered in water as he charged forward to the opponent, before being zapped by lightning created by Froslass, then hitting Crawdaunt, knocking it back*
Finn: Much better
Clare: Sky Attack! *Delibird lit up, charging the attack, before becoming covered in a red light and charging forward*
Finn: Poliwrath, grab it! *Poliwrath extended it`s arms, grabbing the approaching Delibird, being slid back, but able to prevent the Pokemon from making contact*
Clare: Icy Wind! *Delibird let out a gust of wind that hit Poliwrath and the nearby Golduck, letting go of the Pokemon*
Finn: Shame you had to use your trump card so quickly, and just to reduce our speed
Clare: Beartic, Icicle Crash! *Beartic let out a loud roar, as ice surrounded a small area around him and the rest of her Pokemon, before smashing it`s fists into the ground, as stalagmites of ice rose from the ground flying into the air before flipping around in the air and coming crashing down into the ground below, creating a barrier protecting the three Ice types*
Finn: Attack it, Brick Break, Shadow Claw, X-Scissor! *The three Pokemon started attacking the ice Pillars trying to break them*
Clare: Recycle! *She lifted her arm to the sky, as Finn`s eyes widened*
Delibird: BIRD! *Delibird held it`s hand to the sky, a blinding white light emanating from the hand, as a red herb came into existence, it quickly taking the herb and stuffing it back into it`s tail*
*The Pokemon broke into the ice, the three ice Types ready to fight them*
Clare: Ice Beam, Aerial Ace, Ice Punch!
Finn: Scald, Crabhammer, Brick Break!
*Delibird’s icy fist struck against Poliwrath’s brick break, both pushing further , each feeling the push back of the other*
*Beartic dived forward, head first striking against Crawdaunt’s claw, the force of the other enough to push both Pokemon back and away from one another*
*Golduck launched a Scald which collided with Froslass’ Ice Beam, the extreme hot and cold causing a reaction to one another as steam covered the arena, both trainers losing site of their Pokemon in the decreased visibility*
Finn: Mind Reader
*Poliwrath looked into the smoke, it’s eyes lighting up blue, Clare and her Pokemon able to see it*
Clare: Ice Punch! *Delibird charged in, launching a punch at the attacking preparing Poliwrath*
Finn: Quick, Hydro Pump, let’s go! *With needle point accuracy, Poliwrath launched the attack into the mist*
Beartic: BEAR!!! *Beartic let out, the water pressure put right into his face, damaging the Bear Pokemon*
*Delibird made contact with Poliwrath backing up*
Finn: Again! *Froslass and Delibird waited, as the mist finally cleared the damage was finally visible, Beartic was knocked out, while Poliwrath was frozen, preventing it from attacking again after the first one
Clare: …..Good Job Beartic, you were a great help *Beartic was returned to it’s Pokeball*
Finn:  Scald while we can! *Golduck blasted Poliwrath with warm water, the ice surrounding the Pokemon quickly melting*

Clare: we can do this….
Finn: 3 on two…. Looks like the ball is already in my corner sis, are you going to give up?
Clare: Never

*Poliwrath launched a gush of water at the Pokemon who jumped out of the way of the attack*
Finn: Shadow Claw, Crab Hammer!
*Golduck charged in and hit Froslass knocking the Pokemon back, as Crawdaunt charged in and crashed it’s claw into Delibird, knocking the Pokemon back a few feat too*
Clare: Ice Punch!
Finn: Brick Break!  *Both Poliwrath and Delibird meat each other in the middle of the ring, their attacks pushing against one another*
Clare: Shadow Ball
Finn: Golduck, Deflect it, Crawdaunt, Crabhammer! *Golduck charged forward, it’s hand turning a pitch black as it used Shadow Claw to knock the attack out of the way, as Crawdaunt charged in towards Froslass*
Clare: Sky Attack!
*Delibird smirked, ducking down and turning it’s back to Poliwrath as it continued to swing it’s brick break, swinging it over Delibird*
Finn: Quick Smash brick break directly down! *Poliwrath took another swing at Delibird, but before it could, the red flash covered the bird as it flew forward, past Golduck, and struck the attacking Crawdaunt in the back, knocking it on the other side of the ice Pokemon, it slowly getting up*
Clare: Good work
Finn: But…. Now we have you surrounded *The three water types made a circle around the two remaining ice types*
Clare: Icy Wind! *Delibird spun in a circle, the cold wind holding the water Pokemon back for a bit* Froslass, lift him up! *while Delibird was blasting it’s cold air, Froslass picked up the ice Pokemon and lifted it high up in the area, higher than most of the spectators*
Finn: Hydro Pump, Scald, Water Pulse!
*Poliwrath launched a Hydro Pump into the air, while Golduck it’s scald, and lastly Crawdaunt it’s water pulse into the air, trying to hit the pair of Pokemon*
Clare: Ice Beam! *Froslass flew around, avoiding most of the attacks, before launching an ice beam directly into the Scald, once again creating the mist that covered them last time, only this time it is solely covering Delibird and Froslass*
Finn: Mind Reader!
Clare: Recycle!
*Poliwrath’s eyes turned blue as a white light appeared in the smoke cloud*
Finn: Hydro Pump!
Clare: Ice Beam and Sky Attack!  *Froslass came out and blasted ice at the Hydro Pump, while clearly much weaker than the Hydro Pump it held it’s own for a while, due to the disadvantage the upward angle was causing for hydro Pump, preventing Froslass from being hit by the Hydro Pump, as a fiery bird drops from the sky falling to strike Crawdaunt*
Finn: Crabhammer! *Crawdaunt swung it’s claw around trying to hit Delibird as it fell, colliding with the attack quite well, however the crabhammmer  was over powered easily thanks to the gravitational force added from Delibird’s dive,  as Crawdaunt’s claw slipped, letting Delibird hit Crawdaunt, creating a large smoke screen*
Clare: Duck and Recycle!
Finn: Crabhammer
*Delibird held out it’s hand, the red herb appearing once more as it stuffed the herb into it’s tail, the smoke screen finally clearing, everyone able to see that Crawdaunt was knocked out*
Finn: Cr…..Crawdaunt
Clare: We are not leaving this battle the losers
Finn: Like we will let you beat us!
*The two trainers stood on opposite sides of the arena, smiling Crawdaunt being returned to it’s Pokeball as Froslass levitated itself down to join Delibird*

Finn: Looks like our muscle is down…. Down to the aces and the graceful ones
*both trainers smiled, clearly enjoying themselves*

Clare: Let’s get going, Thunderbolt! *Froslass let out a large bolt of lightning from itself, flying towards the two water type Pokemon*
Finn: Golduck, Shadow Claw! *Golduck held out it’s hand, the black Aura surrounding it, as it use it’s claw to block, the Electricity hitting the claw as Golduck stood there, it decreasing the damage of the attack*
Clare: Creative….
Finn: Like always, Poliwrath, Hydro Pump!
Clare: Ice Beam! *Both Froslass and Poliwrath launched their attacks, colliding with one another, as the water stopped moving and instead turned into solid ice, the weight of all that ice tipping Poliwrath over*
Clare: Follow up with Ice Punch!
Finn: Shadow Claw! *Delibird charged forward, Golduck jumping in the way, the icy fist and shadowy claw colliding, pushing both Pokemon back, as the ice shattered and Poliwrath got up*
Clare: Thuderbolt
Finn: Shadow Claw and Fury Swipes combo, let’s go! *Golduck charged in, it’s claws turning Purple as it avoided the thunderbolt, starting to swipe at Froslass continuously*
Clare: Dodge, dodge dodge! *Froslass avoided the rapid succession of swipes, Golduck getting closer and closer at each swipe* Shadow Ball! *Froslass quickly summoned the ghostly ball, but before it could launch it Golduck hit it, creating a small blast that launched both Pokemon back*
Finn: Scald!
Clare: Ice Beam!
*Golduck and Froslass both launched their attacks, that once again collided, creating a large amount of mist to cover the arena*
Finn: Mind Reader!
Clare: Ice Beam the ground!
*Poliwrath eyes turned a bright blue as it prepared to attack, as Froslass instead blasted the ground in front of Poliwrath and Golduck, their side of the arena*
Finn: Hydro Pump!
Clare: Sky Attack! *Delibird turned white, before the red flash covered it’s body and it charged forward, through the Hydro Pump*
Finn: grab Delibird!
*As Delibird blasted through the Hydro Pump, Poliwrath held out it’s arms, catching the approaching Pokemon, stopping it as it’s Hydro Pump came to an end*
Clare: Icy Wind!
Finn: Toss it! *Poliwrath quickly tossed the Pokemon back, making the Icy Wind miss*
Clare: Recycle!
Finn: Shadow Claw
*Delibird held it’s hand up, summoning the red herb again as the blinding light covered the Arena, as Golduck charged towards the Pokemon, only to trip and land on the ground due to the ice that Froslass layered on*
Finn: Aqua Jet!
Clare: Shadow ball! *Golduck charged forward, only to be knocked back onto the ice by Froslass’ Shadow Ball, leaving both Poliwrath and Golduck on the ice, as Delibird stuffed the item back into it’s tail*
Finn: Brick Break! *Poliwrath quickly struck the ground without a second thought, the ice forming cracks starting from the fist spreading out to the side of the ice field, before shattering into hundreds of little tiny pieces*
Clare: Ice Punch Thunderbolt combo!
Finn: Hydro Pump Scald combo!
*Delibird held up it’s fist, ice covering it, as Froslass launched a blast of Electricity into it, the electrical energy covering the fist, as Delibird charged forward*
*Golduck Jumped onto Poliwrath’s shoulders blasting Scald at a slightly downward angle, as Poliwrath launched Hydro Pump at a slightly upward angle, the attacks mixing into a steamy hydro Pump flying towards the Incoming Delibird*
Clare: Froslass, Protect Delibird! *Froslass flew in the way of the, allowing Delibird to alter it’s course a bit to avoid getting hit by the attack, but the might of the attack finally taking out the ice ghost Pokemon, as Delibird approached the two remaining water Pokemon*
Finn: Golduck, Shadow claw, quickly! *Golduck jumped off of Poliwrath’s shoulders, coming in contact with the thundery ice punch with a shadow claw, pushing back as hard as it could, as the electric energy shot off of the fist, Delibird’s hand starting to send both an icy coating and an Electrical charge up Golduck’s arm, before the Paralysis got the better of him and Golduck’s shadow claw gave up for a moment, Delibird pushing through and hitting Golduck in the shoulder, knocking the Pokemon back on it’s back*
Clare: Good Work Froslass…. Delibird
Finn: Golduck, Golduck! *Golduck tried to get up slowly, before collapsing over in defeat*
Clare and Finn: You have earned a nice rest, return *both trainers returned their defeated Pokemon to their Pokeballs*
Delibird: Bird!
Poliwrath: WRATH!
Finn: So…. This is how it ends
Clare: Like there was ever any other way this could go?
Finn: Delibird, Icy Wind, Ice Punch, Sky Attack and Recycle
Clare: Poliwrath, Hydro Pump, Fling, Brick Break and Mind Reader
Finn: We know each other like the back of our own hand
Clare: So if that’s the case, let’s put on a battle these people will never forget

Clare: Icy Wind
Finn: Brick Break and Fling *Poliwrath swung it’s arm at the ground, breaking the arena beneath it’s feet, the rubble flying up into the air as it tossed it up to Delibird*
Clare: Quick Ice Punch! *Delibird’s fist became covered in ice as it jumped up and hit the rubble out of the air one at a time*
Finn: Hydro Pump! *Poliwrath blasted a stream of water, hitting Delibird directly in the face, knocking the Pokemon back, who slowly got up*
Clare: Get up and use ice Punch!
Finn: Brick Break with Mind Reader let’s go! *Both Pokemon charged at one another, their attacks colliding, Poliwrath clearly stronger of the two, pushing Delibird back, who fell to one knee exhausted*
Clare: De…Delibird… you can do this, follow your dream!

Finn:….you know why he is so weak right? This battle has always been pointing in my direction, me in the lead, me in the lead, you playing catch up……
Clare: That means nothing, we have still been able to hold our own
Finn:……exactly, you have had to push in order to keep up, Delibird has already been using all he has in order to keep up with my team….. while Crawdaunt and Golduck took the brunt of the force…..
*Delibird slowly started to rise, getting to one of it’s feet*
Clare: While.. Poliwrath stayed relatively unscathed….
Finn: You are running out of time Clare, you don’t have the strength to go on much longer
Clare:… Delibird, stand up, I need you to give this move everything you got, I believe in you
*Delibird managed to get both of it’s feet, them shaking as it stood tall looking down at Poliwrath*
Finn: End this, Hydro Pump!
Clare: Sky Attack, let’s go!

*Both Pokemon launched moves, Delibird flying through the air at extremespeeds, Poliwrath blasting a high pressure blast of water at the Delibird, the flaming bird Pokemon pushing against the water, blasting steam and water everywhere, as the crowd was covered by the produce of the attacks, Delibird slowly pushing forward through the water towards Poliwrath*
Finn: Kick it up!
*Poliwrath’s water pressure became much stronger, putting a lot more force into the attack, while slowing down Delibird the bird kept pushing forward with all he had, the water and steam that was produce became even heavier, as the crowd started to feel as if it was raining from the mass amount of water that Delibird had deflected*
Finn: Grab it!
*As it got close, Poliwrath once again held out it’s hand trying to catch the Penguin Pokemon, the bird still pushing, as Poliwrath’s hands started to bend inward and towards itself, unable to hold back the penguin Pokemon*
Finn: Brick Break! *Poliwrath quickly swung it’s arm down when it became apparent that he wouldn’t be able to stop the attack this time, contact being made creating a large smoke screen covering the two Pokemon, as Delibird flew out of the smoke, crashing to the ground, landing and sliding on it’s knee until it reached the edge of the arena, right in front of Finn, the smoke clearing to show Poliwrath, back facing Finn still standing*
Clare: Delibird….
Delibird: Bird… *the Pokemon let out, clearly weak, out of energy to even stand on it’s own two feet*
Finn: Poliwrath…
Poliwrath: Wr..ath *Poliwrath fell face first, into the arena, knocked out from the attack*
Finn:…..You, did amazing Poliwrath, return* Poliwrath was returned to it’s Pokeball*
Judge: And the winner is Clare!

*Clare ran out onto the battlefield, sliding on the ground until she was at her brother’s feet, catching Delibird as he started to fall to the ground, weak*
Clare: You did great out there buddy, you sure showed them
Delibird: Bird! *the Pokemon lifted up his hand, giving her a thumbs up, a smile on his face, happy he had beaten Fiinn*
Finn: *bent down and looked at the pair of them* You are quite the rival *Finn then patted Delibird on the head* but next time Delibird, me and Poliwrath are going to school you
Delibird: Bird bird…. *the Pokemon said weakly*
Clare:….I am going to go to the center, he is going to need a long rest after a battle like that
Finn: Ya, good luck, see you later tonight
Clare: As long as he is alright, will do

Flannery: Looks like the underdog won the battle. 
Joel: Ice ended up beating Water in the end! 
Alex: It was an interesting battle.
Daniel: So she ended up winning.......now its my turn! 
Daniel ran onto the battlefield, on the other side was a lady, Ferne! 
Ferne: My pokemon are going to win this battle, its up to you Florges, Starmie and Delphox! 
The 3 pokemon came out into the arena.
Daniel: I'm not going down easily, I BELIEVE IN YOU GUYS! GOLDUCK, ALAKAZAM, SHIELDON!
Golduck, Shieldon and Alakazam stood facing their opponents, ready and charged for battle. 
Referee: It has been decided that Ferne gets the first move!
Ferne: Then I'll be going with Petal Blizzard, Swift and Fire Spin! 
Petals and Stars shot out at Daniel's pokemon, with flames spinning around them as it hurled towards them. 
Daniel: Woah! That's a powerful combo attack, Alakazam, Golduck, hold it back! Psychic!
The attack combo froze in its tracks, it then began to fly back at the opponent pokemon. 
Dawn: Awesome! That's a strong duo there! 
Evan: What do you mean?
Dawn: Alakazam and Golduck are 2 pokemon who were on his first ever team. They've been through a lot together, so the power they have! It should be unbeatable! 
Alun: What about Shieldon! It looks so small compared to the other pokemon. 
Dawn: It can pack a punch, no need to worry. 
Daniel: Ancient Power Shieldon! 
Ferne's Delphox used Flamethrower on the leaves, burning them to a crisp, whilst Starmie washed out the stars and flames using Hydro Pump.
The rocks from Ancient Power hit the 3 pokemon. 
Ferne: He distracted me! AH! Florges Vine Whip! Starmie Rapid Spin! Delphox use Signal Beam!
The vines began slashing at Shieldon, who jumped from side to side trying to avoid the attack, before it then use Thunderbolt! 
Golduck was knocked back by the Rapid Spin, it regained its footing, before the spinning Starmie came back for another hit, Golduck launched an Ice Beam attack, freezing it, it slammed into the ground, submerged in ice. 
A Signal beam shot at Alakazam, who then launched a Psybeam, the 2 beam attacks collided, becoming a battle of force. 
Daniel: Use Iron Head Shieldon! 
Shieldon crashed into Florges, knocking it backwards, Florges fell into the 2 beams launched by Delphox and Alakazam! A large explosion appeared on the field, the explosion also melted the ice. 
Daniel: YAHOO!
Ferne: FLORGES! MY BEAUTIFUL FLORGES!
Smoke faded, showing Florges, lying on the ground. 
Daniel: 2 against 3! 
Ferne: Rapid Spin and Psychic! 
Starmie used its attack, it span faster than normal thanks to the Psychic. 
Daniel: Oh yeah! I don't think so! Iron Head, guys! Back Shieldon up! 
Shieldon charged at the oncoming spinning Starmie, suddenly, a purple aura appeared around it, it lifted off its feet and was flung at the oncoming Starmie! 
Shieldon shot forward like a bullet, completely knocking Starmie out! 
Ferne: NO! NO! NO! HOW!
Alun: Since Shieldon had the power of 2 Psychic attacks backing it up, Starmie only had 1, it was much more powerful. 
Starmie laid on the ground, its jewel smashed. 
Ferne: I can't lose! I won't lose! Delphox, you may be on your own, but we won't let that stop us! Use Heat Wave!
A large wave of flames came at the 3 pokemon. 
Daniel: NAH! DON'T THINK SO! Alakazam, use Pyschic on Shieldon, lift it up! 
Shieldon lifted high in the air. 
Alun: What's he doing?
Dawn: Shieldon's up so high! 
Daniel: Surf Golduck!
A large wave of water emerged, putting out the waves of flames. 
Ferne: NOT FAIR!
Alakazam took damage too, it accidently let go Shieldon. 
Shieldon came flying toward the ground. 
Daniel: IRON HEAD!
Shieldon's hair lit up, it collided at the ground, building up a huge impact, flames appeared around its head as it fell, it then landed on top of Delphox's head. 
Delphox was dizzy, it struggled to stand, it then suddenly fell to the floor. 
Referee: Delphox is unable to battle! Daniel and his pokemon are the winners!
Daniel: YAHOO! YAHOO! WE DID IT!
Evan: Shieldon is awesome!
Alun: You were right Dawn, it sure is strong. And with the back up of Alakazam and Golduck, its no wonder they all stayed on their feet. 
Daniel: Thanks for an awesome battle! 
Ferne: I can't believe you beat my beauties. You had better win this tournament now. 
Daniel's pokemon ran up to him in excitement. 


The gang were out celebrating that evening by having a meal. 
The tv was about to announce the match ups for the next round. 
TV announcer: The Top 16 round shall be 3 vs 3 standard battle match ups. But now its time to find out who's against who! 
Alix, and Joel both showed up against opposing trainers, then suddenly Daniel appeared, besides his picture was Clare.
Evan: Clare's your next challenger.
Dawn: This should be a cool battle!
Flannery: Pardon the pun! 
Alun: I wonder how this will work out.

Finn:.....she won't have a clue about it until later anyway.... *walked up to the group, scratching the back of his head* she is in the Pokemon Center with Delibird......catching his breath after our last battle *he slightly gritted his teeth* If you want, I can take you there so you can tell her yourself....only seems right that you'd be the one to tell her" he said

Daniel: Sure, although, it'll have to be quick, I've gotta train! 
Alun: The top 16, out of all those who entered, there's now only 16 remaining trainers. 
Flannery: Scary stuff when you think about it. 
Evan: Dan's going to be number 1 though!
Dawn: He sure is!

Finn: Don`t underestimate us Daniel, this may be our first league, but the pair of us took on Team Flare for years before you showed up, even with the ice type as her specialty, she is no push over... But then again, I already lost the position of her Hero to Delibird today....do you really think he is going to give that title to you so easily tomorrow?

*Clare was in the center, sitting at the foot of Delibird's bed, who was sitting up, feeling better, but not enough to get up for a bit*
Clare: Glad your ok
Delibird: Bird Bird! *the Pokemon confidently pointed to himself*
Clare: of course I could count on you
Delibird: Bird
Clare: Now don't over stuff yourself *she turned around, grabbing a few things from her bag and put it on his bed, about a dozen Pecha Berries and a bottle of Moomoo Milk
Delibird: Bird!
*Clare leaned over, Delibird hugging her thankfully*
Clare: Ya, your favorite... Berries, you are drinking your milk Mr., if you want to be a strong Delibird
Delibird: Deli......
Clare: But you worked hard today, enjoy your little treat
*she leaned back, as he began to eat*
Clare: *reached into her bag, pulling out a book and her glasses, starting to read it out loud for Delibird as he ate, it being the tale of a Heroic female Plusle on a grand adventure in a medieval style world*

They arrived at the pokemon center.
Daniel walked in to the room.
Daniel: Get ready for your challenge tomorrow Clare. Tomorrow, one of us is leaving the competition.
Daniel then ran off, back to his hotel room, standing in front of his pokemon.
Daniel: She's an ice type specialist, who should I use?
Evan: Cyndaquil! Cyndaquil! 
Daniel: Nah, Cyndaquil needs to save its energy, its got some unfinished business. 
Daniel looked at the pokemon in front of him.
Daniel: Actually, I think I know just who to use here. 
Dawn: You do? Awesome who?
Piplup: Pip
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig!



The next day, just after lunch, Daniel and Clare faced each other in the arena. 
Referee: Please select your first pokemon. 
Daniel: Bergmite! GO!
Bergmite came out
Bergmite: BERG BERG BERG BERG BERG *breathes out a frosty breath in excitement*

Clare: ......we can do this... Aurorus, I choose you! *she tossed out her Pokeball, the large dinosaur coming out of it*
Aurorus: RUS *The Pokemon looked down at the Bergmite*
Clare: Don't you dare hold back Daniel, you either you adorable little guy *she looked at Bergmite as she said that*

Referee: BEGIN!
Daniel: Let's go all out! Bergmite! Let's start out with a combo we've working on! Stone Edge, Surf! 
Large rocks came out of the ground, followed by a large wave of water, the water picked up the rocks, creating a sharp wave.

Clare: Stealth rock! *Aurorus tried to summon a wall of rocks to protect itself, though the wave crashed through it, spreading the rocks to the side of the arena, Aurorus being blasted back by the attack taking alot of damage*
Clare: Hail! *Aurorus stomped it's foot down, looking to the sky, as icy shards started to fall from the sky falling on both it and Bergmite, a small light emanating from Aurorus' head sail shining for Dan to see, as it's item seemed to activate, though the ice seemed to do little to Aurorus*

Daniel: So she's using those items then? Better not rely on them though! Bergmite, use Ice Beam on the ground!
Bergmite shot out a blast of ice across the floor, creating a icy arena. 
Daniel: Rapid Spin!
Bergmite jumped on the ice, using it to build up speed and a bigger impact to hit Aurorus with.

Clare: Freeze Dry! *Aurorus launched a blast of icy cold air back as retaliation, starting to get weak having spent most of the battle just setting up

Bergmite was flung backwards, slamming into the wall, taking damage. 
Daniel: Bergmite! 
Bergmite: Ber. Berg. 
Alun: Bergmite looks hurt.
Dawn: Poor thing!
Piplup: Piplup
Evan: Come on Bergmite you can do it! 
Bergmite got up, opening one eye as the one eye was bruised. 
Daniel: Bergmite that's the spirit.
Bergmite began to glow.
Dawn, Evan, Alun and Flannery: WOAH! ITS CAN'T BE!
Joel: Another? 
Alex: Evolution?
Daniel: AWESOME!
Joel: That's his third evolution in this tournament! 
Bergmite grew bigger, its body grew in size, its legs sprung out. 
Bergmite evolved into Avalugg! 
Daniel: Its huge! 
Avalugg: Ava!
Dawn: What is it? *pokedex*
Pokedex: Avalugg, the Iceberg pokemon. Its ice-covered body is as hard as steel. Its cumbersome frame crushes anything that stands in its way.
Daniel: Avalugg! No way we're going to lose now haha! Avalugg rapid spin!
Avalugg tried moving its body quickly, but instead slipped on the ice, its crashed into the ground.
Daniel: Avalugg?

Clare: Stone Edge! *Aurorus launched a barrage of shards at Avalugg, not letting up* I can't let you slip by because you slipped up on ice.... we have to give it our all

The powerful attack struck Avalugg, it took lots of damage. 
Avalugg: Ava! Avalugg! 
Avalugg was badly damaged, it tried to stand up on its feet. 
Daniel: Hold in there! Use Stone Edge! 
Avalugg tried to attack, but it then crashed into the floor once more. 
Alun: Its too weak. 
Daniel: Avalugg?
Avalugg fainted, it couldn't take anymore.
Referee: And the first pokemon to go to down is Avalugg, which means Clare is currently storming the leaderboard. 
Daniel: Avalugg, that was a great battle, thanks for all your help. You've helped damage our opponent. Which means its time to finish off Aurorus! Arcanine! GO!
Arcanine emerged on the battlefield, looking elegant and brave. 
Dawn: Arcanine! Aha! No way!
Evan: Woah! It looks so awesome
Alun: An almighty pokemon.
Flannery eyes lit up
Flannery: A beautiful pokemon. 
Daniel: Extremespeed! 
Arcanine jumped forward, it disappeared, then reappeared in a different position, disappearing and reappearing again, before slamming into Aurorus!
Then out of the air, hail fell, hitting Arcanine

*she smiled*
*Aurorus flew back, weak*
Clare: Stealth Rocks! *Once again, a new set of rocks covered the ground*

Daniel: So we can't get rid of the Stealth rocks.....but we can do something about that hail. Arcanine! Sunny Day! 
The sun came out of the clouds, shining brightly. 
Daniel: Flamethrower!!!
Arcanine: HOOOOOOOOWLLLLL! *launches a powerful fiery attack*
