Pokemon: Kalos Adventures

*Aurorus is hit, falling down, knocked out*
Clare: Return... good work
*Clare returned Aurorus to it's Pokeball*
Clare:..... Ice... as a type is known for it's brittleness as a defensive type.... time and time again I have seen trainers try to use the fact that I use ice as a main type to try and counter me with fighting, fire, steel and rock types....
*pulls out her Pokeball*
Clare: I hope that wasn't your intent, because I have a plan for you! Glaceon, I choose you! *She sent out her Eeveelution, who smiled upon landing, around it's neck was a necklace, with a blue tear drop shaped pendent on it*
Glaceon: Glace
Clare: Water Pulse! *Glaceon opened it's mouth, launching a pulse of water, it's medallion shimmering as the attack flew towards Arcanine*

Daniel: We have to act fast, this could go drastically wrong or it could help us out big time! Arcanine, ready yourself. 
Arcanine's fangs began to spark, it put its left paw out in front, readying itself. 
Daniel: NOW THUNDER FANG!
Arcanine bit into the water pulse, the electricity and water caused an explosion, water spraying all over the place. 
Dawn: Woah!
Alun: Did it work?
Evan: Arcanine? 
Arcanine stood on the field, as fierce as ever. 
Daniel: It worked! The timing worked! 
Alun: That was sheer luck then! 
Flannery: No chance of him being able to time that correctly again right?
Joel: I think Arcanine still took damage from it though, but that item, its powering up the water attack. 
Alex: That's her secret weapon! 
Daniel: I told you, I'm not a fan of using battle items, so I'm ready to stop any item you spring on me. Extremespeed!
Arcanine ran at Glaceon.

*Glaceon is hit, flying back*
Clare:....if you haven't figured it out it's not only how I fight, Glaceon, Dig!
*Glaceon dug it's way underground*
Clare:.....the items, they help cover weaknesses, help bolster strength
*Glaceon popped up right in front of Arcanine*
Clare: Water Pulse! *once again, it launched the attack, this time at a closer range, if he repeated what he did last time the explosion would hit both of the Pokemon*

Arcanine was flung backwards by the force of the water pulse, it took massive amounts of damage.
Daniel: Sneaky. . . Arcanine you okay? 
Arcanine rose from the floor. 
Daniel: Its all or nothing! Extremespeed!
Arcanine ran forwards at an immense speed.
Daniel: But that's not all! Flamethrower! 
The flamethrower was launched, with Arcanine running straight into it, it engulfed its body, and Arcanine increased in power, it charged at Glaceon, submerged in powerful, bright flames.

Clare: Mirror Coat!
*Glaceon becomes surrounded by a white Energy as Arcanine hit, the Extremespeed hitting full force, while the Flamethrower was blasted back right at it, Glaceon fell over, knocked out*

Arcanine also fell to the ground after taking damage from the attack. 
Daniel: Arcanine! Thank you so much pal, you really help me out big time, you've taken down two of her pokemon. 
Referee: And its a double knock out with only 1 pokemon remaining on either side.
Alun: Its neck and neck! 
Dawn: It could go either way!
Evan: It's going Dan's way and only Dan's way. She's not going to beat him. I won't let it.
Flannery: Who is he going to use?
Daniel: I'd be in complete shock if the final pokemon you weren't using wasn't Delibird....
Minun rose, ready to jump into battle.
Daniel: But this pokemon and I go way back. In fact, right to the very start of my journey, all those years ago.
Minun: Mai mai Mai
Minun went to run onto the field.
Daniel: COME OUT OLD FRIEND! *throws pokeball*
Minun stopped
Minun: Mai?

Clare: Right on the nose *She tossed out her Pokeball, Delibird coming out, quickly looking at the score board and seeing Minun on his shoulder*
Delibird: Bird bird bird! *the Pokemon looked angry, pointing at Minun, feeling Daniel wasn't taking him seriously
Clare: Calm down, I doubt he'd brush you under like that, he's seen you work
Delibird: Bird *The Pokemon almost seemed to be pouting*
Clare: He must think this guy or girl is going to be able to take you down, probably better than even Minun
Delibird: *Delibird nodded, ready to fight*
Clare: But if it's not his best he won't even stand a chance
*Delibird got into a battle stance, smirking, looking at Dan ready for the battle*

Out of the pokeball sparks flew, revealing Venusaur. 
Daniel: Venusaur! 
Dawn: Venusaur? Wow! Amazing
Alun: That was Daniel's first pokemon after Minun, the first one he met on his journey.
Dawn: Correct, it saved my life once, it used its vines to stop me falling off a cliff, before it then evolved. 
Evan: It looks cool!
Joel: So Dan has a a Venusaur too?
The shone brightly.
Daniel: And although Arcanine went down, it has helped us with this beautiful sunshine! Venusaur! Solarbeam!
Venusaur: VENU! VENUSAUR!
Out of the flower on Venusaur's back, shot out a large bright beam of light.

*Delibird is blasted back by he attack, getting up*
Clare: Icy Wind! *Delibird let out a gust of cold wind, trying to slow down Venasaur*
*Delibird smirked, ready for a fight*

Daniel: Blast through the wind! Solarbeam! Following up with Solarbeam! 
Venusaur smirked
A huge beam blasted through the arena, ripping apart the icy wind, followed up by another large beam heading straight at Delibird.
The sunlight faded.
Alun: Well looks like those powered up Solarbeam's are out of the window.
Dawn: If he wants to use Solarbeam, he's going to have to wait for it to charge.

*Clare smirked*
Clare: Sky Attack! *Delibird charged up, the light covering it's body, turning red as the Herb activated, it charging through the Solarbeam toward Venasaur*

Daniel: Thats........that's impossible......Venusaur!!!!
Venusaur: VENUSAUR!
Daniel: Power Whip! 
Two large vines came out of Venusaur, swinging around it, ready to knock anything back.

Clare:...it's... just like the hydro pump *Delibird is knocked back*
Clare: Recycle! *Delibird holds up it's hand, the red herb appearing in it's hand*
Clare:.....it's not one solid object, it's a group of small damaging objects.... and as such the cone shaped beak of sky attack can deflect it enough to minimize damage while not heading progression, now Ice punch!
*Delibird jumped, icy fist, trying to hit Venasaur*

Daniel: Impressive! But we're ready for victory! Power Whip!
Venusaur: VENU!
One of the vines wrapped around Delibird's wing. 
Daniel: Hey badda badda, hey badda badda, SWING!
Venusaur began swinging Delibird round in a circle, before letting it go. 
Daniel: Sludge! 
Large substances of acid shot at the flying Delibird.

Clare: Ice Punch! use it now as a wall! *Delibird slid, using it's icy hand as a shield against the sludge, it hitting the solid ice and portion of it's arm, but mainly sticking on the ice*
Clare: Sky Attack! *Delibird once again charged in at Venasaur with all it's might, turning red as the herb took over*

Daniel: Nice tatics, Venasaur, prepare yourself!
Venusaur got hit, taking massive damage. 
Daniel: Venusaur, I need you.....all your might, I believe you can do this! Giga Impact! 
Venusaur leaped forward, surrounded by a large powerful force.
Venusaur: VENU VENU VENU! SAUUUUUR

*Delibird's eyes went wide*
Clare: Icy Wind! *Delibird tried to blow the Pokemon away considering it got too close to him already, but the attack landed anyway, Delibird crushed by the Giga Impact, knocked out*
Clare: D....Delibird *She rushed over and picked up the knocked out Pokemon* Are.... are you ok?
Referee: Delibird is unable to battle, the winner is Daniel and Venasaur!
Delibird: B...bird *The Pokemon looked down, upset at the loss, but not seriously injured*
Clare: Glad you are....
*Delibird looked at Dan, an intent look in his eyes, pointing his wing to his face before pointing them at Dan*
Clare: R...really.... at a time like this?
Delibird: DELI!
Clare: *Looked embarrassed and surprised by Delibird's actions* H...he is calling you his rival Dan
Delibird: Delibird!
Clare: And saying he is going to beat you another day *she relayed the information sarcastically* you know you were just in a battle right? No time for trash talking, that could have waited for later
Delibird: bird deli *the Pokemon pouted, turning it's head away, Clare chuckling a small bit, before turning her head to Dan*
Clare: That was a very good, you did really well out there Dan, you deserved the win

Daniel ran over to Venusaur, leaping for joy. 
Daniel: Venusaur! You battled valiantly, thank you so much pal! 
Venusaur's vine wrapped around Daniel, and lifted him into the air. 
Venusaur: VENU VENUSAUR! 
Daniel: Thanks for a great battle Clare, it was so close. I wasn't sure if we were going to pull through then. 
Evan: YAY! He did it! He did it! Dan #1! 
Dawn: Alright Dan!
Piplup: Pip!
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turt!
Alun: So Clare is out and Dan moves onto the top 8. Nice, Clare was impressive.
The battles for the day had wrapped up. 
And so it was time to see the next match ups. 
Daniel: Wonder who the next challenge will be? 
On the screen appeared the 8 trainers, they were then jumbled around, before Joel appeared on the board next a to girl, then Alix appeared on the screen, straight after him as his match up was Daniel.
Daniel: Alix? I'm up against Alix?
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turt! 
Dawn: Woah! I've been wanting to see these 2 fight! I've been waiting for this for so long.
Alun: This will be a battle worth watching. 
Evan: Oh! I hope Daniel wins it! He can beat his brother. 
Daniel looked deep in thought.

Finn: You better not lose..
Clare: And now you too are on his case....
Finn: Of course I am, he is the only one who knocked us out of the tourney, if he cleans shop until the finals, we can still live under the assumption that we are the second and third best here
Clare: *gave the same surprised and disappointed look she gave to Delibird* Right... despite the fact that your number one goal of this tournament wasn't to win but was, and I quote "take that sister stealer of a guy down"
Finn: I.....I said no such thing
Clare: *continued to give him the same look she was giving him* Anyway, just so you know, we'll be there watching, cheering you on too... well me and Delibird, I am not sure at Mr. Jealous
Finn: I am not a petty jealous guy, of course I will be cheering him on
Clare:...Good, my future husband can get all the support he can get
Finn: *gritted his teeth, clearly she was getting to him*
*Clare laughed that Finn was clearly letting it get to him*
Clare: knock 'em out tiger

Daniel was up late that night, he was having trouble sleeping, he stepped out into the garden, and strolled over to the pond, which was lit up by Volbeat and Illimuse. 
Daniel: Years ago, in the Sinnoh league, I came so close to winning it, but only one trainer stood in my way, my very own brother, flesh and blood, and he won.....and now tomorrow I'm expected to face off against him again, I've never beat him. Not once, he's always been one step ahead. 
????: That's what keeps a rivalry strong though. 
Daniel turned to see Dawn.
Daniel: Dawn!

Dawn: I've got a rival, who I've never beat, her name is Zoey, I never beat her, I came close but that was it. But that's what keeps me going, I know one day I have to beat her, and I know she's not stopping from getting stronger and so that's why I need to do the same. 
Daniel: Yeah you're right, he's gotten stronger......
Alun and Evan approached them.
Alun: Don't you think you have too? 
Evan: You've been on loads of adventures since then. 
Daniel: That's true, heck you weren't even born Evan when my brother and I fought in the finals of the Sinnoh League. 
Evan: See! That's loads of years of adventures.
Alun: Your brother may have gotten stronger since then, but you have to remember that you have too. 
Daniel: But he's had a whole year to train, I've had a month. 
Alun: Maybe, but you've had proper challengers to face in the past year like the gym leaders, he's just had regular trainers like you and I. Plus you did take on Team Flare, and win. 
Flannery arrived too.
Flannery: I thought winning and losing didn't bother you? 
Daniel: It doesn't....not really, but when it comes to my brother, he riles me up and well...........I just...
Alun: Want to prove yourself? 
Daniel: Yeah. 
Alun: I know the feeling I've been there too, but use that passion, use it to motivate you in your battle tomorrow. We've got faith in you . . . you just need faith in yourself. 
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig
Dawn: Alun's right, we all believe in you, and so do your pokemon. 
Piplup: Pip!
Dawn: We'll all be rooting for you. 
Alun: Now rest up. 
Daniel: Yeah, I'll be in now....
The rest of the group went back to bed.

Daniel: My friends... they are my motivation, I'm lucky, I've got a big family of friends who all believe in me, maybe its time for me to start believing in myself. They're all saying they think I can do it, I believe in my pokemon, the only thing holding me back is my belief in myself.

Daniel: I've been in 5 leagues already, I faced off against 48 gym leaders, beaten a few evil organisations here and there. And that whole time I've had many friends beside me, rooting me on. Jack, Lowri, Kurt, Amy, Luke, Ashley, Lucas, Sid, Mika, Dawn, Meryl, Jude, Flannery, Evan and Alun. And of course you 2. The 3 of us have been through so much together, I believe in you. Now its time to believe in me. 




















The next morning, Daniel's friends sat in the stands, eagerly awaiting their friends appearance on the battlefield. Dawn dressed in her cheerleader outfit, ready to cheer on her friend. 
Dawn: GIVE ME A D!
Piplup: pip!
Dawn: GIVE ME AN A
Piplup: Pip
Dawn: GIVE ME AN N! 
Piplup: PIP!
Dawn: GO GO GO DAN YOU CAN DO IT GO GO DAN! 
Alun: Let's hope he believes in himself. He can do it.
Evan: He's going to win! I know it
Flannery: My fingers are crossed!
 
Announcer: Well here we have 2 opponents, 2 brothers, battling it out to the end. Daniel Vs Alix! Now some of you may not know this, but Daniel and Alix once fought in the finals of the Sinnoh league, with Alix coming out on top, but it’s time to see who comes out on top today.
Daniel ran into the arena, with Minun and Turtwig trailing behind.
Alix ran in from the opposite side.
Evan: Come on Daniel!
Dawn: You can do it Daniel!
Alun: I hope he does well today, it’s time for him to prove himself to his brother.
Alex: I can’t wait, Alix has been dominating the rounds before.
Joel: Yeah but Dan’s also been doing well.
Announcer; And now will the 2 trainers please chose their Pokémon.
Daniel: Toxicroak!
Alix: Talonflame, get out and win!
Alun: Type advantage goes to Alix…..
Dawn: But that doesn’t mean a thing here.
Announcer: So the first match up, the brawler Toxicroak Vs the high flying Talonflame!
Alix: I hope you’ve mixed up your team at least a little bit.
Daniel: Well we’ll have to wait and see won’t we. Toxicroak use Brick Break!
Alix: Pah, use Swords Dance!
Talonflame got stronger and faster.
Toxicroak came running at the pokemon, jumping up ready to slash!
Talonflame moved aside quickly
Evan: It’s really fast!
Flannery: COME ON DAN!
Talonflame then used Flare Blitz, it was engulfed by flames as it shot at Toxicroak.
Daniel: Vacuum Wave!
As Talonflame raced forward, a strong wind, picked it up, sending it off into the direction of the wall, crashing.
Daniel: AHA!
Alun: Vacuum Wave always hits first, so no matter how fast Talonflame is, Vacuum Wave has the advantage there.
Alix: Pah! Swords Dance!
Daniel: Its getting stronger, Toxicroak use Poison Jab!
Toxicroak ran at Talonflame, it then jabbed it, poisoning it!
Daniel: Talonflame is definitely going down now.
Alix: Maybe! Roost!
Talonflame healed, but then took damage from the poison.
Flannery: Yikes, it’s poisoned, but it can keep healing any health it loses.
Daniel: Toxicroak, Thunderpunch!
Alix: Brave Bird!
The 2 pokemon collided towards each other at a high speed. Both crashing, creating a large explosion.
Behind all the smoke, 1 pokemon stood.
Talonflame laid on the floor, KO’d.
Daniel: TOXICROAK! YES!!!!
Alix: Agh.
Toxicroak gave Dan the thumbs up, then suddenly, it fell to the floor also KO’d.
Announcer: Both pokemon are unable to battle.
Alix: Pikachu GO!
Daniel: Ha, Garchomp GO!
Alix: So last time it was my Luxray against your Gabite, now Gabite is Garchomp, but I’m still using an electric. Smirks
Daniel: Garchomp use Dragon Rush! Wrap this one up quickly!
Alix: Pikachu, dodge using Quick Attack!
Pikachu avoided the attack!
Daniel: Nice, Luxray did the same thing back in the day.
Alix: But Luxray didn’t do this! Disarming Voice!
Pikachu: PIKA! PIKA PIKA PIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKAAAAA!
Alun: NO!
Flannery: Oh no!
Daniel: IMPOSSIBLE!
Garchomp was hit in the back by the attack. Taking damage from the super effective attack.
Daniel: How?
Alix: My Pikachu is a Dragon/Ground slayer.
Daniel: Dragon/Ground slayer?
Alix: Watch! Icicle Crash!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Daniel: NO! It can’t! Garchomp, use Surf!
Garchomp used a giant wave to stop the icicles that came flying towards it.
Alix: Nice!
Daniel: Garchomp return!
Alix: Switching out?
Daniel: Had to be done. Cyndaquil go!
Cyndaquil: CYNDA!
Evan: Yay! Finally get to see Cyndaquil in action!
Daniel: Cyndaquil, use Heat Wave!
A large wave of flames came towards Pikachu.
Alix: Disarming Voice!
Pikachu shattered a hole in the flames.
Alun: That Pikachu sure has some talent.
Pikachu jumped through the hole.
Alix: Volt Tackle!
Daniel: Hold it back, Extrasensory!
Pikachu submerged itself in electricity, as it ran at Cyndaquil, Cyndaquil however opened its eyes, and 2 beams shot out, it grabbed Pikachu and lifted it up in the air, before slamming it into the ground.
Alix: An impressive move pool.
Daniel: Same could be said for Pikachu. Now Heat Wave!
Alix: We’ve done this, stop repeating yourself.
Pikachu once again, blasted a hole in the flames, it jumped through, however, this time Cyndaquil had vanished. Instead a hole appeared on the ground.
Alix: Distracted?
Cyndaquil jumped out from the ground underneath Pikachu, sending it into the air and crashing onto the ground, unconscious.
Daniel: YES! Cyndaquil!!!!!!
Evan: Its awesome!
Dawn: It’s wonderful.
Piplup: Pip!
Alun: Its impressive!
Flannery: Its beautiful! A powerful fire type! The flames on its back, its been raised by pure talent.
Alix: smirks So then, Blaziken, you’re up!
Cyndaquil: Cynda! Shakes
 
FLASHBACK
Daniel: Fire Vs Fire? Cyndaquil Flamethrower!
Alix; Flare Blitz!
Blazikin took flight (like Aqua Jet only with flames) the Flamethrower hit Blazikin and its attack but only powered it up, it then struck Cyndaquil knocking it into the wall. Then Blazikin ran over to Cyndaquil throwing multiple Blaze Kicks at it.
Cyndaquil: Quil, quil quil quil Cynda quil quil QUIL!!!!!
The flame on Cyndaquil’s back grew.
Daniel: What’s going on?
Oak and Ashley; Blaze!
Oak: Cyndaquil’s activated its ability Blaze.
Ashley; Now Cyndaquil’s powered up.
The flames were huge and they were burning like crazy.
Daniel: Nice!
Alix; Don’t think some little ability is going to stop us. Flare Blitz!
Daniel: Hea-.....
Cyndaquil was hit.
Alix; NOW!
Blazekin picked Cyndaquil up then used Blaze Kick to knock it into the air. Then used Flare Blitz to hit it up higher. Blazekin then used Blaze Kick on Cyndaquil’s back to knock it back down into ground at an immense pace.
When Cyndaquil landed dust spreaded throughout the stadium, the crowd were coughing.
Daniel: Cyndaquil!
Cyndaquil had fainted.
Daniel ran over to it, picked it up.
Daniel; Cyndaquil what an outstanding performance, you were utterly amazing, and that was so cool how you activated Blaze for us, we’re really going to work on that and master it ok?
Cyndaquil;.....Qu-il.
Daniel: Good but for now, you deserve a nice long rest.

Cyndaquil shook its head.
Daniel: Cyndaquil, you had a tough battle with Blaziken in the Sinnoh league, but hey, you’re much stronger now. Use Dig!
   
Cyndaquil burrowed underground

Clare: You can do it! Cyndaquil keep going, you too Dan!
Delibird: BIRD BIRD! *Delibird let out a cheer for them as well, flexing it's wing, standing on a seat, exuding a sense of confidence in Dan*
Finn:.... but a Blaziken...do you really think something like that could beat something so powerful?
Clare: ...I read stories all the time about mice Pokemon becoming legends, I am sure this one can do just that..especially if it's one of Dan's Pokemon
Finn:...that is a fantasy, this is reality
Clare: All the more reason for him to prove you wrong *turns to the match* Show him how great you and your Pokemon are!
Finn:...this is starting to drift away from rubbing it in my face with the praise talk sis and drifting into something a bit different sis.....
Clare: J....just cheer him on already, you promised *she turned her face to the match, but her cheeks turned a light pink from that comment*
Finn: *turned to the match* You can do it, never give in!
Clare: Go for it Cyndquil!

Cyndaquil disappeared underground.
Alix: Blaziken, use Flare Blitz!
Blaziken became surrounded by flames, it flew up into the air.
Cyndaquil jumped out of the ground, missing Blaziken.
Blaziken then came crashing towards Cyndaquil.

Daniel: Just like before, as soon as Cyndaquil was hit, it didn’t manage to land a hit. Cyndaquil wait for it.
Alun: What’s he doing?
Blaziken was seconds away from striking.
Daniel: EXTRASENSORY!
Cyndaquil’s eyes opened up, holding Blaziken in its place, the flames disappeared, Blaziken was suspended in mid air.
Daniel: Throw it!
Blaziken was thrown into the wall.
It landed on the floor.
Daniel: Heat Wave!
Blaziken remained on the floor, holding its head.
Alix: Get up and use Blaze Kick!
Blaziken cut through the wave of flames.
Cyndaquil was gone.
Alix: BACK!
Just before Blaziken’s feet, Cyndaquil appeared
Cyndaquil: Cynda!
It opened up its eyes, unleashing Extrasensory.
Blaziken was held within the grasp of Extrasensory.
Daniel: Shoot it straight up!
Cyndaquil fired Blaziken into the air.
Daniel: Heat Wave!
Cyndaquil fired a wave of flames into the skies, Blaziken was unable to avoid the attack, it then crashed into the ground.
Alix: Its…..its so much stronger, and faster than before.
Blaziken was ko’d.
Daniel: See, now its our turn to unleash a barrage of attacks without allowing you to land an attack.
Alix: I’m impressed, really I am. Cyndaquil is very strong.
Daniel: Cyndaquil is a leader of a pack. It’s got to have its wits about it.
Alix: Return Blaziken, come out, Chesnaught!
Daniel: Chesnaught! The final form of Chespin. Hang on…. Blaziken, Chesnaught and Alix has a Blastoise. Its like battling against James, I think I can do this, no wait, I can do this!
Daniel: Heat Wave!
Alix: Unfortunately, this is where Cyndaquil’s winning streak ends.
The wave crashed into Chesnaught.
Daniel: Aha!
Alix: Don’t be so cocky.
The flames disappeared and a shell similar to a chesnut shell stood on the field.
Daniel: Huh?
Alix: Chesnaught protected itself you fool. Hammer Arm!
Daniel: HOW DID IT DO THAT?
Chesnaught slammed its arm down onto Cyndaquil’s head. Cyndaquil was forced into the ground, unable to fight any more.
Daniel: Cyndaquil!
Daniel ran onto the field, picking Cyndaquil up.
Daniel: Cyndaquil, you’ve helped me so much today, I can’t thank you enough, you’ve earned a long rest.
Cyndaquil went back into its pokeball.
Evan: That Cyndaquil was so cool, so strong! I WANT ONE!
Daniel: Swampert! GO!
Flannery: Water and Ground up against a Grass type, I’m not sure about that match up.
Alix: Swampert, he’s impressive from what I remember, but that’s not enough to win here. Chesnaught use Wood Hammer!
Chesnaught swung its arm at Swampert!
Daniel: Protect!
Swampert protected itself.
Alix: If I remember correctly, Mirror Coat is Swampert’s special move, but unfortunately that move can’t help you here. Don’t go expecting any special attacks from Chesnaught, he’s trained specifically with Physical moves.
Daniel: No? I wasn’t expecting that.
Alix: Thing is, Swampert is trained the same way isn’t it?
Daniel: So what if it is! Swampert use Waterfall!
Swampert jumped up, water coming out of its body, as it crashed down onto Chesnaught.
Suddenly the shield appeared around Chesnaught, Swampert crashed into the many spikes, taking damage.
Daniel: That spikey shield?
Alix: It damages pokemon attacking with a physical attack. So good luck trying to land a hit.
Daniel: Swampert Hammer Arm!
Alix: Hammer Arm!
Both pokemon threw their arm down like a hammer, both countering and then switching to their other arm, smashing into each other, and countering again, until, Chesnaught grabbed hold of Swampert’s arm.
Using its other arm, it slashed at Swampert using Dragon Claw.
Daniel: Swampert!
Swampert was flung back.
Daniel: Hammer Arm!
This time Swampert hit.
Chesnaught used Hammer Arm as well.
Swampert was knocked backwards, it held its head where it had been struck, as it lowered its arm, it saw Chesnaught’s arm swinging at it.
Alix: Wood Hammer!
Swampert was punched in the face, it was thrown backwards on to the ground, knocked out.
Alix: Ding ding ding!
Daniel: Swampert, Thank you for your efforts today.
Alix: You came here thinking you could beat me with a Mirror Coat tatic, but didn’t even get to pull off such a move. Cyndaquil took down 2 of my pokemon, but unfortunately for you, Chesnaught shown that its efforts were useless, back even once more.
Daniel: Turtwig, you’re up.
Turtwig: Twig twig!
Alun: Old Turty is up to fight.
Evan: Turtwig is going to rock this battle
Dawn: No way is Turtwig going down.
Announcer: These 2 brothers are neck and neck, both knocking down 2 of each others pokemon in a row, however, both with 3 remaining, we’re here witnessing a battle of grass types. Turtwig Vs Chesnaught is the match up.
Daniel: Turtwig, use Seed Bomb!
Alix: A great tactic that was back in the day.
Seeds scattered along the field. Ready to explode with the slightest touch.
Alix: Pah, Spikey Shield!

The shell appeared, and the spikes brushed up against the seeds, causing them to explode, setting one another off, a large explosion spread across the arena.
Daniel: Turtwig, look out!
Turtwig ran from the explosion.
Daniel: Earth Power!
The ground broke apart, breaing the shell, and causing Chesnaught to get stuck in the ground.
Daniel: Aha!
Alix: What?
Daniel: Seems Chesnaught can’t move. Crunch!
Turtwig bit into Chesnaught’s arm.
Alix: Won’t do much, it’s a fighting type fool.
Daniel: Maybe, but Turtwig is close range now.
Alix: Your point?
Daniel smiled.
Turtwig jumped backwards.
Alix: What was that? You didn’t even attack.
Daniel: Turtwig Crunch again!
Turtwig ran at Chesnaught.
Alix: Hammer Arm!
Chesnaught got ready to attack.
Daniel: Jump back!
Turtwig jumped backwards, avoiding Chesnaught’s arm.
Chesnaught’s arm smashed into the ground, suddenly it set off an explosion, Chesnaught was flown further into the ground, the explosion KO’d it.
Alix: You didn’t? Did you?
Daniel: Crunch was a set up, to attach seeds onto Chesnaught, the slightest touch would set it off, just had to get you to attack!
Alix: I fell for that?
Daniel: Sure did! Haha Turtwig, switch out!
Alix: Saving Turtwig for later are we?
Daniel: Looking at keeping that super effective advantage of course.
Alix: Interesting, Gardevoir you’re turn!
Daniel: Garchomp!
Alun: Wait! Gardevoir is a fairy type!
Daniel: And fairy is super effective against Dragon! I’ve got to be careful.

Garchomp: Chomp!!!

Daniel: So I can’t use my powerhouse Dragon Rush, so I’ll have to stick to the other moves. They should be enough. Garchomp use Surf!
The large wave appeared on the field, swooping towards Gardevoir.
Alix: Icy Wind!
A large wind blew at the wave, completely freezing it over.
Daniel: Oh boy, it not only means I can’t use Dragon moves but also means it’s got a super effective move.
Alix: Gardevoir, the Dragon Slayer….could have its own tv show. Gardevoir use Moonblast!
Gardevoir unleashed its attack, smashing the ice, as icicles came flying at Garchomp.
Daniel: QUICK! Fire Blast!
Garchomp attacked quickly, melting the ice.
Alix: Gardevoir use Psychic!
Garchomp was suspended in air. Before being flung at the walls of the battlefield.
Daniel: Garchomp! Use Earthquake!
The ground shook, and Gardevoir took major damage.
Daniel: Fire it up! Fire Blast!
Alix: Moonblast!
The moonblast shattered the flames, and Garchomp was struck in the chest, it was left gasping for air.
Alix: Icy Wind!
The wind blew at Garchomp.
Daniel: Garchomp! Get your air, breath!
Garchomp: CHOM CHOM GAAAAAARRRR
Daniel: Surf!
The wave collided with the wind, once again, freezing it.
Daniel: Earthquake!
The ground shook, shattering the ice wall, the ice fell down on Gardevoir, who took damage, it then was thrown to its feet as the ground shook, ice thrown around the place, slashing into Gardevoir.
Gardevoir laid on the ground, it looked up, surrounded by ice, feeling quite weak.
Daniel: Fire Blast!
Garchomp jumped up, unleashing flames onto Gardevoir, KO’ing it.
Daniel: YES!
Announcer: Daniel’s got his brother in a tight corner, with 1 pokemon remaining, Daniel’s got the upper hand with 3 pokemon still left to fight, is this the end for Alix.
Daniel: This is going well.
Alix: This match is about to turn around. Blastoise GO!
Daniel: There’s no surprise there. Garchomp, we’ll wrap this up quickly, use Dragon Rush!
Garchomp crashed at Blastoise.
Alix: Oh come on? Counter!
Garchomp’s attack back fired, as Blastoise bounced it back, even stronger, Garchomp fell to the ground, unable to fight anymore.
Daniel: Garchomp! Return, thank you for your brave fight. Turtwig!
Alix: Seems you’re working up a sweat Dan, what’s the matter? Scared!
Daniel: No way! Turtwig, Seed Bomb!
Turtwig: TURTWIG!
Turtwig’s seeds exploded on Blastoise, who took damage. But it then used Counter, sending the explosion back at Turtwig, who also fell to the ground, unable to fight.
Daniel: Turtwig!
Evan: NO!
Alun: He’s starting to panic.
Dawn: Pull yourself together Dan please! Believe in yourself.
Daniel picked up Turtwig
Daniel: Turtwig, you’ve proved yourself once again, you’re always a great battler, especially against my brother. So here we are again, down to our final pokemon, the same match up as before. I’m not going to let it be the same result. Minun! LET’S GO!
Minun ran onto the field.
Minun: Mai
Daniel’s friends cheered for Minun.
Alix: You know you should be scared. I’ve kept something in my pocket this whole time.
Alix pulled out a ring, holding a mega stone.
Daniel: NO?

Alix: Blastoise! Unleash your true power! MEGA EVOLUTION!

Daniel: You know this isn’t the first time we’ve fought against Mega Blastoise. He was raised by, someone I knew. I’m not going to lose, Minun, we’re doing this!
Minun: Mai
Alix: Confidence is brewing. Unfortunately this will be the same result as our Sinnoh battle, I’m coming out on top. This past year, I went on a quest, I searched far to find the Blastoisenite so that when it came to the league, when faced against a worthy opponent, I was ready, I’m going to beat you here today, I’m going to going to win this league. I’m going to become the champion here. This is my victory Dan. No get ready, no holding back.
Daniel: Minun, Magnet Rise!
Electricity sparked around Minun, it rose of the ground.
Minun: Mai
Evan: He can fly!
Daniel: Minun, use Thunderbolt!
Blastoise used Mirror Coat, bouncing the attack back at Minun.
Daniel: Dodge!
Alun: He’s calmed down a bit now, he’s focused.
Dawn: I really do think he’s going to win here. I believe in him.
Evan: Me too. He’s going to win this! He’s got to.
Flannery: My fingers are crossed.
 
 
Ashley sat on his sofa, surrounded by his pokemon, Lisa, his wife, and their 2 daughters.
Ashley: You can do it Dan!
 
Amy sat backstage at a pokemon contest, watching eagerly.
Assistant: Miss, they’re ready for you now!
Amy: Hold on, I can’t miss this…..Dan, do it!

Jack was at a pokecenter, sat watching the battle, fingers crossed.
 
Kurt and his friends, gathered in the cabin, with many Cyndaquil beside them, watching, and praying for their friend.

The 2 attacks blasted into each, Blastoise’s was much more powerful, Minun couldn’t hold out, and let go of its attack, swiftly moving aside, to avoid the attack, it then launched another Thunderbolt, this time striking Blastoise.
Daniel: YES!
Alix: Blastoise, Mirror Coat!
Daniel: Dodge!
Minun flew around the battlefield, Blastoise’s attack was unable to hit it.
Alix: Its moving so swiftly, that Magnet Rise is impressive.
Daniel: Minun use Secret Power!

Alix: Ice? Blizzard!
The huge wave of snow stopped Minun’s blast, it then struck Minun, freezing it and sending it fly to the ground.
Daniel: Minun! He did this before!
Alix: Hydro Pump!
The 3 pumps on Blastoise fired at Minun, shattering the ice and almost drowning Minun, puddles of water appeared on the ground around it.
Daniel: Minun!
Minun began puffing, it was getting weak.
Alun: Minun’s on the ground again.
Evan: And he’s hurt
Dawn: That’s not stopped Minun before.
Daniel: Minun use Thunderbolt!
The electricity sparked the water surrounding it, Minun shined brightly through the electricity.
Evan: It looks so powerful.
Alun: The sparks are representing its determination.
Dawn: Come on Minun!
Piplup: Piplup Piplup!
Blastoise was hit
Daniel: Minun Secret Power! On the puddles!
Minun froze the puddles.
Alix: Pah, so you froze the puddles, big deal.
Daniel: Thunderbolt!
Alix: Mirror Coat!
The 2 pokemon took the attacks taking damage.
Minun stood, bruised and battered.

Minun began running, producing its Volt Tackle like attack, it pounded into Blastoise, who took tons of damage, it was knocked backwards, falling on its back and landing on a puddle, it slipped on the ice and went crashing head first into the wall.

Blastoise was confused from smashing its head.
The electricity struck Blastoise, zapping it, it transformed back into its regular form, its eyes began swirling.
Announcer: Blastoise is unable to battle, Daniel and Minun are the winners, they’ve reached the top 4.

Minun fell to the floor, weak from so many Mirror Coats, as it fell, Daniel swooped it up, Turtwig sitting weakly on his shoulder.
Daniel: Buddy, we finally did it…..We beat my brother. We finally won.
Minun: Mai
Minun licked Daniel
Daniel: Aha!
Alix walked over to Daniel.
Alix: Dan. That was, well….you’ve impressed me, last time we battled, you showed me that a pokemon’s determination can pull through, they don’t need to evolve, they just need to have a strong bond with their trainer. Today, you showed me how strong the bonds are with your pokemon, I really believe you’ll be a fine champion one day.
Daniel: Thanks. That was a fun battle
Alix: Yeah.
Alix walked off.
 
Daniel ran backstage, his friends were there to greet him.

Daniel: Well I couldn’t have done it without you guys. My whole life, I’ve drifted by, thinking I was second best, never believing in myself. But you know what….I am good
The gang chuckled.
Daniel: I would never have believed in myself if it weren’t for you guys.
Alun: Nonsense, you and your pokemon did all the hard work mate, we just gave you a nudge in the right direction.
Dawn: And what a direction it was, because you rocked the show.
Evan: I wish we could watch it all over again.
Daniel: Aha you guys!

Joel: Nice one! Looks like you’re joining me in the top 4.
Daniel: You won your battle too?
Joel: Yeah, although not many people were there to watch. They all wanted to watch your battle, a rematch of one of the great battles in Sinnoh apparently. I wish I could have seen it myself.
Announcer: And so we have 4 final trainers. Daniel, Joel, Lexi and Frances.
Daniel: Match up time.
Announcer: Who’s up against who?
The 4 trainers began juggling around on screen.
Daniel: Here we go!
The match ups appeared on screen, Daniel’s next opponent was none other than Joel.
Joel: So it looks like we’re up next Dan, sadly this is the end of the journey for one of us.
Daniel: Yeah and I’m not going to let it be me.
 
 
That night, Alix had his bag packed, he began walking out of the trainer village.
Daniel: Wait up!
Daniel ran after Alix
Daniel: Not staying to the end?
Alix: Nah, these last few years, I’ve been thinking. I’ve been training for years, fighting battles, and I got so close to becoming champion, but Cynthia wiped the floor with me, and so I thought I’d try one more time. I trained and trained, but that wasn’t enough. And all that time I training, I was thinking, this can only go on for so long, I had a job offer a while back,  and I turned it down, but it turns out that job is still available.
Daniel: That’s good
Alix: I’m going to head back home and apply for it.
Daniel: That’s awesome, what’s the job?
Alix: Well Viridian City still needs a gym leader, the pokemon league offered it to me a while back, but I wasn’t ready, but I am now, now its time to settle down. And focus on something. Good luck tomorrow, I’ll catch you later.
Alix began walking away.
Alix: Actually.
He reached into his pocket, and pulled out the mega stone attached to the ring, he took the mega stone out and threw it towards Dan.
Daniel caught it.
Alix: Take that. You’ve proved you’re more worthy than me, you deserve that, you’ve got plenty of pokemon who could mega evolve, you just need to find the stones. Prof. Birch is doing lots of research into it at the moment, speak to him. Like I said, catch you later.
Alix left.
Daniel: Thanks.
He looked at the mega stone.

Daniel: Wow, I wonder who could mega evolve?

Finn: He won, he has another battle tomorrow, we will go see it, now get to sleep already sis
Clare: After watching that? How could I?
Finn: It was a cool battle sure, but let's be fair, it still didn't put ours to rest as the best
Clare: That doesn't matter, what matters was how intense and focused those two were, like...they were on their game
Finn: Ya, of course they were, they are siblings, just like you and me, we give it our all
Clare: Y..ya, but that's not how all siblings do it, they'd go easy on, take it so lightly
Finn:......you know why they can't go easy on each other right?
Clare: Same reason you and Delibird can't go easy on each other, it's a game

Clare:.....Team Flare was a survival of the fittest, everything on the line each time we faced, it was two different ideologies.......but. honestly, at the league, it's not any different, we all believe in the same thing and push towards that same goal, and that burning passion and that drive that both trainers have to be better than one another, we are all here for the same reason, so it makes sense that we all try our hardest to win.... as no one here will want to lose
Finn: So why do you think their rivalry was so special?
Clare: Every move, every action, every reaction was filled with emotions, drive filled with memoirs of the past, it was the culmination of a rivalry between siblings going on for even longer than ours
Finn: ...just go to bed, stop fangirling over the battle and just wait for the tourney to be over before you get all gloating about how perfect he is
Clare:.......Now that would be stupid to believe, no one is perfect, he has his flaws, quirks and all
