Matthew: Oh yeah, who's going to stop him?
Jamie: Anyway, so Dan, Baby pokemon? What's up with that? I remember in Kanto you had baby pokemon, and I watched you fight Alix in the league with a Turtwig and Cyndaquil, have you not heard of Evolution?
Daniel: Of course.
Jamie: Well Jack says you've got 4 badges and none of your team have evolved? What's up with that? I had all of my team evolved at least once by then.
Daniel: How many badges do you have?
Jamie: All 3 of us have 6 of them.
Dawn: 6? Woah!
Daniel: Well, I'm going at a steady pace and my pokemon will evolved when they are ready.
Turtwig: Turt!
Tepig: TEPIG!
Oshawott: OSHA

Sid: Harm any of them, and you will learn the meaning of the word burn

Jamie: What you wanna be doing is trading them with some foolish people who have powerful pokemon, its what we do.
Daniel: No way. Pokemon are friends. Not tools.
Matthew: Bet you would have won the battle against Alix if you trade Turtwig and Cyndaquil.
Daniel: Funny you say that, Turtwig took down Alix's Tyranitar.
Thomas: Could have taken down Blastoise too if it were Torterra.
Daniel: How dare you! My pokemon are tough! I'll show you!
Jamie: Baby is acting tough. Well then, challenge accepted. 2 vs 2 battle?
Daniel: Fine by me!

Sid: Hey Jamie, good luck, unlike Dan, you're going to need it

Meryl: Woah! This fight is gonna be a real fun battle to watch!

Drilbur: Bur...

Daniel: Turtwig Let's go!
Turtwig: Turt!
Jamie: Scolipede GO!
Daniel: A Scolipede?
Dawn: He wasn't lying.
Jack: Scolipede is the final evolution in its family too. Its not going to be easy.
Jamie: Jealous? I trade a Pidgey for this pokemon here, I came prepared, I knew how rare Kanto pokemon were here in Unova, so I captured loads of Pidgey and Caterpie to trick trainers into giving me powerful pokemon.
Daniel: No problem for us. Turtwig use Razor Leaf.
Jamie: Steamroller
Scolipede charged into Turtwig, slamming it and causing it to flinch.
Daniel: Turtwig you okay?
Turtwig nodded.
Daniel: Let's fight like the old days. Time for an old strategy. Use Seed Bomb!
Seed Bombs planted the area.
Jamie: Scolipede. Do not move.

Daniel: That's not going to work. Turtwig get to a safe distant and use Razor Leaf!
Turtwig ran backwards into a safe distance whilst using Razor Leaf, the leaves struck the bomb, setting off an explosion.
Scolipede was blasted.
Daniel: Now Turtwig use Earth Power!
The ground shook, causing Scolipede to collapse and faint
Daniel: YES!
Thomas: Dude, you got beaten by a baby pokemon.
Jamie: Guess I'll trade Scolipede soon. Finish this Charizard.
Daniel: TURTWIG!
Jamie: FIRE BLAST!
The flames caused Turtwig to catch a light.
Turtwig: TURT....*coughs once whilst blowing out black smoke*
Turtwig fainted.
Daniel: Thanks Turtwig. You were great. Now then, the old saying goes, let's fight Fire with Fire. Tepig go!

Sid watched on with spite over Tepig

Matthew: PAHAHAHAHA A TINY LITTLE TEPIG! PAHAHA
Daniel: Don't listen to them Tepig, I know you can fight Charizard.
Thomas: Yeah right, Charizard has travelled through 5 regions with Jamie as his main pokemon.
Daniel: Tepig Flamethrower!
Jamie: Blast Burn!
The flames appeared from the ground, as cracks began to appear, the flames rose blasting Tepig into the skies and slamming it back to the ground.
Tepig was hanging on by a thread. It laid on the ground.

Daniel: TEPIG!
Daniel ran towards Tepig to end the battle, when all of a sudden, Tepig began to glow.
Dawn: Is that evolution?
Jack: It.....it is.
The rest of Daniel's pokemon cheered.
Daniel: TEPIG!
Tepig evolved into Pignite.
Pignite: PIG! NITE!
Daniel: Alright!
Dawn: Who's that pokemon? *pokedex*
Pokedex: Pignite, the Fire Pig Pokémon and the evolved form of Tepig. Pignite's food converts into fuel for the flame that burns in its stomach, and when fuel burns in its stomach, its speed increases.
Daniel: Pignite! AWESOME! Now use Nitro Charge!
Jamie: Fly!
Charizard took to the skies.
Pignite: PIG! NITE!
Charizard came swooping down, slamming into Pignite sending it crashing into Daniel, badly damaged.
Jamie: Charizard Wrap it up, Use Dragonbreath.
Charizard attacked. KO'ing Pignite and causing it to take collateral damage.
Daniel: Pignite NO!
Nurse Joy came running out.
Nurse Joy: Oh no, I watched the battle, quick, let me take Pignite, I'll get her fixed up.
Daniel: Thank you.
Jamie approached Daniel.
Jamie: Guess you don't have a bunch of baby pokemon anymore now Tepig evolved. However. I take back what I said before the battle. Turtwig is tough, no doubt about it.
Turtwig: Turt!
Jamie: I guess you don't have to evolve pokemon to be strong. How is it so strong?
Daniel: Friendship!
Jamie: You mean that you 2 work so well because you're friends?
Daniel: Yeah it works a charm.
Jamie: Oh, interesting. Well, let's head off to the next town for the next gym guys. Dan, it was good to see you again. Keep training and I'll see you in the league.
Matthew: Bye!
Thomas: Bye!
The trio left.

Sid: Odd friends...

Meryl: Are they...really your friends?

Daniel: Yeah, I know they come off as....
Dawn: Bullies.
Daniel: Yes, but they are childhood friends. See when I was younger, I was petrified of everything. There was so much that scared me, and I was always getting myself into trouble, they had to help me, they've saved me so much. But over time, as each of them went off on their journeys, my confidence grew. And eventually I had enough confidence to pass it on to someone who was once like me.
Jack: Ah,uh they don't need to know the rest *scratches head*
Minun: Mai!
Daniel walked inside, Nurse Joy explained that Pignite had taken a lot of damage.
Daniel: So she'll be stuck here for a while.
Nurse Joy: A few days yes.
Daniel: Ah right. Poor Pignite.
Dawn: She'll be okay! No need to worry.
Piplup: Pip.
Oshawott walked into the surgery room, and sat beside Pignite to keep her company.
Daniel: Well, I'm going to stay with Pignite for the night. You guys go up to bed.
Jack: Right!
Daniel along with Minun, Turtwig, Oshawott, Scraggy, Rufflet and Axew.
Daniel: Pignite! We're here to support you. Don't worry.
The night drew out, and before they knew it, morning arrived.
Daniel: Morning! *stretches*
Jack and Dawn entered the room.
Jack: Meryl and Sid are still asleep I think, how's it going?
Dawn: Pignite okay?
Daniel: Yeah, we're good. I wonder what we'll do today.

Meryl: *yawned as she entered the room* Pignite's well? Good! So is the gym the plan for the day?

Sid: *Walked in* Are things looking up?

Daniel: Pignite's recovering.
Outside, snow began to fall.
Dawn: Snow? Of course! Its Christmas time!
Jack checked his poketch for the date.
Jack: 24th December.
Daniel: Christmas Eve! Alright!
Nurse Joy: Guess you'll have to call off the gym battle, the gym will be closed until the 27th.
Daniel: Drats.
Dawn: Well, this place is pretty big. I'm sure we'll find something to do.

The gang walked around the town as the snow fell, and began to stick. Each of them sporting their winter gear worn in Sinnoh whilst travelling through Snowpoint City, with the exception of Meryl.
Dawn: Memories!
Daniel: Yeah, I remember going to Snowpoint with Jack, Amy, Ashley and Lucas. Seems weird that all of them are elsewhere now, well, except Jack, but I'm glad he's still here.
Jack: Thanks.
Up ahead was a large truck, with a huge side window which was open with tons of people surrounding it.
Daniel: What's that?
The gang ran up to it, to see a man in the window.
Man: ROLL UP! ROLL UP! T'IS CHRISTMAS TIME! ROLL UP! ROLL UP! T'IS THE SEASON FOR GIVING! You lucky people will receive the greatest Christmas present of all! To have your pokemon besides you at this wonderful time of the year. So what happens when you have a team of 6 pokemon, and you capture a seventh?
Person in the crowd: The seventh pokemon is transported to Juniper's lab sir.
Man: CORRECTO! And the only time you can see that new pokemon is if you visit a PC. What if you're miles away from civilisation and in a dark scary cave! You want to light up the cave, but oh no! You're fire type is at Juniper's lab! OH NO! FEAR NOT! What if I told you that the was a device that allowed you to access phonecalls to Juniper's lab and send you pokemon at any time, at any place?
Crowd: IMPOSSIBLE?
Man: Impossible is a thing of the past my friends! We at Castelia's Game Freak corporation have invented a device that will keep your pokemon besides you at all time. AND SINCE ITS CHRISTMAS! ITS FREE!
The crowd cheered.
Man: NOW HAVE YOUR FREEBIES!
The man began to throw the free device out of the window, allowing the crowd to catch them.
Minun jumped off Daniel's shoulder and into the air, catching a device for Daniel.
Daniel: Great work Minun!
Minun: Mai!
Daniel: So its a watch, with a transporter!
Man: The Transporter! Keeping your pokemon close, since the day of capture! *winks*
2 more devices came towards the gang, one for Sid, the other for Meryl.
Daniel: Let's try this thing out. *types in some numbers* MUM!
Gaynor appeared on the phone.
Gaynor: Hello Daniel! Merry Christmas!
Daniel: Thanks mum, Merry Christmas to you too. Now, Tepig evolved in battle, and became injured, but she's in the pokecenter recovering. I was wondering, could you send over Axew for a bit.
Gaynor: Of course. One moment please.
Crowds: I GOTTA TRY THIS OUT! LET'S GO HUNT FOR A 7TH POKEMON!
The crowds dispatched.
A pokeball appeared on the slot on Daniel's device.
Gaynor: SENT! Now you all take care. Bye!
Daniel picked up the pokeball.
Daniel: GO AXEW!
Axew came out.
Daniel: Hello Axew!
Axew: AXEW AXEW!
Daniel: IT WORKS IT ACTUALLY WORKS! This is going to be so useful in the future, especially now that I've got more than 6 pokemon in this region. I can get Watchog, Herdier, Axew, Scraggy, who ever, at anytime and any place! Its brilliant.

Elsewhere, the crowds had all gone off to capture pokemon.
One trainer wandered into the woods.
He spotted 2 white bear pokemon.
Trainer: Cubchoo's! AWESOME! They'll be perfect pokemon to try this on! Go! Pokeball!
The pokeball flew towards the duo.
One became angry! It jumped up and used Ice Beam to freeze the ball. It gave the trainer an evil stare. Suddenly it began to glow.
Trainer: UH! WAH!
The Cubchoo evolved into Beartic.
Beartic: BEAR!!!!
Trainer: AH!
It then used Slash on the trainer!

Daniel: HUH! Did you hear that?
Dawn: Sounded like someone screaming!

Sid: Then if it's such a big deal let's go after it and not waste time talking about it *Sid rushed towards the noise*

Daniel and the others ran after.
As they ran through the icy forests, something ran out infront of them, it was the trainer, cut and wounded.
Trainer: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? RUN!
Dawn: Run? From what?
Jack: What's going on?
Trainer: I tried to test out my transporter, by capturing my 7th pokemon, but I tried to capture a Cubchoo, when it evolved into a Beartic, and then it attacked me whilst getting in the way of another Cubchoo.
Dawn: Cubchoo and Beatic? *pokedex*
Pokedex: Cubchoo, the Chill Pokémon. Cubchoo evolves into Beartic. Its constantly running nose is the source of its energy and its sniffles power its moves. Beartic, the Freezing Pokémon. Beartic's frozen breath can create fangs and claws made of ice. It lives in frigid northern areas.
Daniel: Trying to protect another Cubchoo? Sounds strange, perhaps they're family.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared in front of them. It was Beartic.
Beartic: BEEEEEEEEARR
Trainer: RUN!!!
Daniel: RUN? Sounds good! Quick!
Minun and Turtwig along with Axew hopped onto Daniel as they ran.
Dawn: Its quick!
The gang were running as fast as they could, but it wasn't fast enough!
Daniel: We can't escape it! Only one thing left to do! Axew use Dragon Claw!
Beartic took the attack.
Jack: Dragon type moves won't work on Beartic.
Daniel: Oh right! Well then! EVERYONE OUT YOU COME!
Oshawott, Rufflet and Scraggy joined the gang.
Daniel: We have to take it down! Oshawott Aqua Jet, Rufflet Quick Attack! Scraggy Headbutt!
The attacks hit, doing barely anything.
Daniel: Minun, Turtwig! Thunderbolt, Razor Leaf!
The attacks did barely any damage.
Beartic leaped forward, slashing everyone and then throwing them into the air.
Rufflet flapped its wings!
Dawn: Rufflet? Its......its.....Flying!
Rufflet kept in the air, flapping its wings to keep up.
Daniel: RUFFLET! BRILLIANT! He can finally fly! AHAHA!
Jack: ALRIGHT!
Daniel: The pokemon landed on the ground, all taking damage. Rufflet gently landed.
Dawn: Time to lend a hand! Deerling, Trubbish! Mienfoo! Cottonee! GO!
Dawn's pokemon joined Piplup and began to help out, doing barely anything.
Jack: Its too powerful.
Daniel: How can it be so strong!

Sid: it's it's will *Sid sent out his six* Timburr, Snivy, Vine Whip the log and mach punch *Timburr threw up it's log and rushed Beartic with a punch, while Snivy grabbed the log and swung it at Beartic* Woobat, Joltik, pschic and Electro web together! *Joltik launched the move, which was then launched towards Beartic, being controlled with perfect aim by psychic* Sand attack and flamethrower! *the sand and flames circled around each other and moved to Beartic*

Beartic used Sheer Cold!
Ice broke through the ground, and snow clouds surrounded the forest. The Snow and Ice fell. Ko'ing the gangs pokemon.
Daniel: WHAT?!??!
Jack: Sheer Cold, an Ice move that makes all pokemon in the area faint. One Hit KO.
Dawn: PIPLUP! DEERLING! TRUBBISH! EVERYONE!
Daniel: NO! Is there anyway to stop him?
Jack: It seems to be focusing too much on saving the Cubchoo. Its willpower is too strong.
Daniel: *gets out Transporter* Nurse Joy! Is Pignite better?
Nurse Joy: Of course! I'll send her to you know.
Daniel: Here's Scraggy!
The 2 pokemon switched.
Daniel: Pignite! Flamethrower!
The flames headed towards Beatic! Who then began to use Slash!
Daniel: POKEBALL!
The pokeball hit the distracted Beartic!
Pignite: PIGNITE
The ball hit the floor, shaking once.......twice.........three times..........click!
Daniel: YES! WE DID IT! We caught Beartic!
Beartic was transported to the ranch.
Dawn: Phew! Its over!
Jack: The only way to stop it was to capture it. But that Cubchoo. It was trying to protect it!
Cubchoo stepped out of the bushes, crying.
Jack: Cubchoo!
Dawn: Its now all alone.
Daniel: Gee, thanks for making me feel bad.
Jack: Don't worry about it. Cubchoo *wanders over to it and kneels down* Beartic....its your brother, I see what's happened here, you're family have been captured by trainers testing out the transporter, leaving you and your brother alone, your brother tried to protect you getting captured in the meantime. Cubchoo.....I'd like you to meet someone! *pulls out Pokeball*
Teddiursa came out.
Teddiursa: URSA! *jumps with joy and begins to play with Teddiursa*
Jack: We'll have fun, and you'll be with your brother. What do you say? Why don't you come with me?
Cubchoo looked around, then nodded.
Jack pulled out 4 pokeballs, took one and pressed it against Cubchoo, it shook 3 times and then clicked.
Jack: We got Cubchoo!
Daniel: The family stays together!
Dawn: Let's take the pokemon to the pokecenter! Ready for Christmas and to get healed.
Daniel: RIGHT!
The gang arrived at the pokecenter!
They sat in the lobby next to the fireplace and Christmas tree.

Petilil came out and admired the Christmas tree.

Meryl: Festive!

Sid: Alot has changed over the year.... *sends out his Woobat, who circles the tree*

The Christmas season drew to a close, the heroes and pokemon were thrilled with all the gifts and excitement.
Daniel: Today! We meet the gym leader!!!! Let's go!
Daniel followed by Minun and Turtwig dashed out of the door.
Dawn: Excited, as per usual.
Piplup: Pip!
Jack: Let's follow then!
Meryl and Sid joined them as they headed up to the North of the City.
They arrived outside the gym!
Daniel: Well then! Let's go inside!
The door was locked.
Daniel: WHAT? Drats.
Minun: MAI
Dawn: Where could they be?
The gang headed back into the city, where they saw a group of trainers tied up on the floor. Standing above them was a man with a lasso spinning above his cowboy hat.
????: Lock 'em up.
The crowds cheered.
Crowd: YAY CLAY!!!!
Jack: Clay? That's where he is. Guys that's the gym leader.
Dawn: A cowboy?
Daniel ran out towards Clay.
Daniel: HEY GYM LEADER! WE'RE HERE TO BATTLE YOU!
Clay: A gym battle eh? *lifts hat up above his eyes* Well then, let us head up to the gym.
As they walked to the gym, they shared discussions, they soon arrived inside.
Clay: So, Dan, Sid, Meryl? Who's first up for a 3 Vs 3 battle?

Sid: I'll go first, unless anyone objects

Clay: I recken there be nothing wrong with you partner

Meryl: Sure Sid, I'll go second! *Meryl smiled with a familiar expression to Clay*

Clay: Wait for a sec pardner... That dere accent... Sweet soundin' Orre accent... Not as thick as dem natives but... that smile... seen it before...

Meryl: Got that from my father, he's from Orre, and my mother's from here just down in Nuvema Town!

Clay: ...Yer Wes' youngster aren't you?

Meryl: You know my father?

Clay: Come down to the gym, I reckon this fella want's to battle 'soon as he can.

Meryl: Um...alrighty...

Clay: But first…. I got take care of this partner
Sid: Alright, let’s start….
*The two took their positions*
Sid: Woobat, go! *Sid sent out his first Pokemon
Clay: Krokorok, go partner
Sid: Looks an awful lot like Sandile
Clay: Let’s start it off with Crunch
Sid: Dodge the attack and follow it up with Gust *Krokorok rushed towards Woobat, who flapped it’s wins getting some air, getting above the attack, and then summoned a small storm which hit Krokorok*
Clay: Drat, he got away!
Sid: Another Gust! *Woobat summoned another storm which struck the Krokorok*
Clay: Alright, Swagger! *Krokorok crosses its arms and looks at the opponent in an intimidating manner while glowing red*
Woobat: Bat bat… *the Pokemon lost some air and started to stumble*
Sid: Woobat, Snap out of it!
Clay: Crunch! *Krokorok moved forward and bit down on the confused Woobat
Sid: Woobat, try another gust!
Clay: Throw it to the ground and end with Bulldoze ‘er *Krokorok threw the Pokemon against the ground, preventing it from using the attack, and then ran over the Pokemon, knocking it out, Krokorok then flexing it’s muscles, seeming to get a bit more powerful
Sid: Woobat, return, Timburr, your up *Sid returned his first Pokemon sending out his second* Woobat did some damage, you should be able to deal with this one
Clay: Start it with a crunch! *Krokorok moved towards Timburr, launching it’s teeth*
Sid: Block, and counter with a low kick! *Timburr used it’s log to block the attack, the log easily takingthe attack, as Timburr swept it’s leg and tripped Krokorok, who came crashing into the earth*
Clay: Get up Partner!
Sid: No you don’t, now! *Timburr swung it’s log around and struck Krokorok on the head, making it lose balance* Now, end this with a mach punch! *Timburr, at an immense speed, moved and struck the Pokemon, taking it out*
Clay: Alright, Alright, you bested him boy, I’ll give you that, but next comes up the good old Palpitoad! *Clay returned his first Pokemon and sent out his toad
Sid: Alright, Mach Punch! *Timburr quickly moved forward, going extremely fast struck Palpitoad*
Clay: It’s alright, take it and counter it with a muddy water my boy *As Timburr moved back, Palpitoad opened it’s mouth and a brown water came flowing from it, charging towards Timburr
Sid: Block! *Timburr tried to use it’s block to stop the water, but it moved around the log and hit Timburr*
Timburr: Burr….. *The Pokemon slowly got up*
Sid: Alright…… we can do some damage here Timburr….. but you are going to have to trust me
Timburr: *nods*
Clay: Bubblebeam! *Palpitoad launched the attack towards Timburr*
Sid: Block each individually *Bubble by bubble they were blocked by the log, until the attack stopped*
Clay: Nice move
Sid: Alright, now throw your log! *Timburr did just that, the log flew through the air towards Palpitoad*
Clay: Slow it down with bubble beam! *The water struck the log, making it lose momentum stoping a few inches short of Palpitoad* ha you mi….
Sid: Mach Punch! *Timburr flew towards the distracted Palpitoad and hit it with a mach punch, causing it to lose some balance*
Clay: What?
Sid: Follow it up with a Low Kick *Palpitoad was knocked down*
Clay: Get up! *The Pokemon slowly got up*
Sid: And end this battle with a smack! *Timburr grabbed it’s log and swung it around, striking the now standing Palpitoad with it’s full force, however Palpitoad stood tall*
Palpitoad: Palpitoad
Clay: Good job
Sid: How is that?
Clay: Bulldoze! *Palpitoad then charged forwards, knocking Timburr to the ground
Sid: Try to get up Timburr *Timburr slowly made it to it’s feet*
Clay: End it with Bubble beam *Once again Palpitoad opened it’s mouth sending a storm of bubble from it towards Timburr, this time who was unable to block the attack and was knocked out be them*
Sid: Timburr….. you held out well *Sid returned the Pokemon to it’s Pokeball* Snivy, it’s time to take out the beast! *Sid sent out his final Pokemon*
Clay: Alright, Bulldoze it! *Palpitoad charged towards Snivy*
Sid: Oh no you don’t, jump over it with Vine Whip, then strike it! *Snivy used it’s vines to get airborne, going way over Palpitoad, then turned around and hit the creature with it's vines* Now, Leaf Tornado and end it! *Snivy flipped over and launched a storm of leaves at Palpitoad, hitting the creature and finally taking down the beast*
Clay: Good job
Sid: Nice going
*Snivy then turned a blinding white*
Clay: Looks like you got a midbattle evolution partner
Sid: Ya.... I guess so
*Snivy slowly begain to change shape, and the light vanished, becoming a new Pokemon*
Servine: Servine! *The Pokemon announced it's name*
Clay: Well there partner, seems like your Servine will be ma finally opponenent, well, Partner, prepare for this, Excadrill, go! *Excadrill sent out his last Pokemon*
Servine: Servine! *The Pokemon cried as seeds flew from behind, latching themselves onto Excadrill
Sid: Leech Seed..... haven't seen that since Roserade, nice to see you have it
Clay: That makes no difference, Slash! *Excadrill charged towards Servine*
Sid: Leaf Tornado! *Servine turned and launched the attack, hitting Excadrill, but the Pokemon just kept on going, hitting Servine, and quickly depleting a lot of his health*
Clay: Almost there, Rock… *Excadrill was then drained of some of it’s energy, while Servine seemed to gain some*
Sid: Good, looks like you can keep going
Clay: Rock Slide anyway! *Excarill produced Rocks which started to fall towards Servine*
Sid: You can't take another hit, dodge and keep it up *Servine dodged rock after rock, not getting hit*
Clay: You can't keep it up forever *Again, energy was sapped from Excadrill*
Sid: End it, with a Leaf Tornado *Once again, a storm was launched, this time flyingthrough the air, hitting Excadrill taking it out*
Clay:.....ya'll won.... Partner you won, and as proof of your victory, here is your badge *Clay gave Sid his badge*

A pokemon watched the battle from a far, it saw Sid's friends cheering and then ran off.
Daniel: A Servine! Brilliant!
Dawn: That's 2 of the Unova starters.
Jack: Well done Sid!
Clay: Right, one more battle for today, that there be Meryl's turn!
Daniel: AWWW
