More and more people exited the cave, with no luck.
Man: DISQUALIFIED! DISQUALIFIED! DISQUALIFIED!!!!

Drilbur: *lifted up the artifact with his claws* BUR!!!
Meryl: Excellent! Let's go! *they ran out of the cave with the artifact*

Man: WE HAVE OUR WINNER.
The crowd looked.
Daniel: Meryl and Drilbur?
Man: Congratulations fine lady! Now, what evolution stone would you like? Waterstone? SunStone? Firestone? Thunderstone? Shinystone?

Meryl: Hm...Thunderstone! Thank You! *got the Thunderstone*

Jack: Now you can evolve Eelektrik.
Daniel: Oooooo

Meryl then switched out Vanillite for Eelekrik.
Meryl: Alright buddy, here you go! *tossed the thunderstone in the air, and Eelektrik caught it, and began to glow*
Drilbur: Bur...
The glow had faded, and Eelektrik had evolved into Eelektross!
Meryl: Woah!

Daniel: WOAH!
Dawn: Eelektrik evolved. *pokedex*
Pokedex: Eelektross, the EleFish Pokémon. Eelektross's mouth locks onto its opponents, where upon it delivers an electric shock.
Daniel: AWESOME
The crowd clapped for Meryl's new pokemon.
Man: So you kids are heading for the the gym? Keep on down this route, its a 15 minute walk to Opelucid City.
Dawn: Thanks so much!
The gang left the cave area! With a new pokemon in the group.

The gang arrived in Opelucid City. There were many statues of ancient dragons around the town.
Dawn: Its so ancient looking here. *smells the air* I'm so happy! Opelucid City! This is where I win my last Unova ribbon!
A lass ran up to the group, handing them a coupon.
Jack: Thanks.....huh?
Daniel: What is it Jack?
Jack: This brand looks familiar.
Daniel: How so?
Jack: Its Lucas' family restaurant.
Daniel: Do you think Lucas will be here?
Dawn: Maybe, although he and Aleesha left to go travelling, they may not have had time to get here.
Daniel: Well, let's go visit the family.
The gang arrived outside the restaurant. They entered, it was packed!

Lucas; We've been great!
Alesha: We somehow got tangled into a Kanto Journey~

Daniel: Sure has been a while, how's things going? Where've you been travelling? Caught any new pokemon?
Dawn: How are the contests coming? I've come a long way, if your sticking around a while, maybe you could watch my next one?

Sid: You do know telling Lucas about a contest may not be a good idea... right? You may give yourself another rival....

Dawn: Good thing sign ups closed a while back! That's one less rival to worry about!
Piplup: Pip!
Dawn: We're not going let anything get in the way!
Daniel: Dawn's going to be great. *stomach rumbles* Let's sit down and have some lunch! I've missed Lucas' food.

Sid: Of course, the first thing you saw when we see the guy is wheres the food *Sid then rolls his eyes

The gang sat down to eat, and shared stories.
Daniel: So Lucas, you've got your own little group now?
Dawn: That's great news, a journey is always better with friends.
Daniel: We've come a long way too, last time you saw me, I had Minun, Turtwig, Patrat and Lillipup. Now I've got Minun, Turtwig, Watchog, Herdier, Pignite, Oshawott, Bravairy, Scraggy, Fraxure, Beartic, Gigalith and even a Golett!
Jack: Heck even, I caught a pokemon, my Cubchoo!
Dawn: Yeah, it seems you've come a long way too.
Over on the next table, a few trainers were talking about a tournament.
Daniel: Tournament?
Jack: Sounds like the one Bianca mentioned when Sandile evolved.
Daniel: If there's a tournament, you can bet I'm entering!
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: TURT!
Dawn: Count me in too.

Sid: Seem sort of weird if Bianca didn't enter because of me and I didn't enter....

Meryl: I wonder what kinda tournament they are hostin'
Drilbur: *was busy eating hotdog*

Lucas: Seems like you guys have had exciting times!
Alesha: Torunament? Oh they must mean that Don George Tornament!!

Jack: Yes the Don Battle Tournament! Takes place here in 2 days! Which means tomorrow we can watch Dawn's contest, then you can all take part in the Don Battle Tournament *pulls out leaflet* You'll have to choose 4 pokemon though, its a 4 pokemon only rule.
Daniel: 4 pokemon? Hppmmm.

The next day, the gang, now joined by Lucas and Alesha arrived at the contest hall.
Margenta: Hello and welcome! ITS TIME FOR THE OCULPIED CONTEST! ARE WE READY?
The crowd cheered.
Margenta: This contest is a first, as it uses 3 pokemon in each round in order to prepare Trainers for the Grand Festival!

Dawn was backstaged, trying to do her make up.
Monica walked into the room.
Monica: Doing your make up? Ha! There's no point, no make up could ever make you look pretty.
Dawn slowly put the blusher down, staring at the mirror.
Monica: AHA! See you later loser, when I crush you.
Monica went to walk out of the door. But Daniel stood in her way. Minun and Turtwig looked angry.
Daniel: How dare you speak to Dawn that way. What gives you the right to say that to someone.
Monica: Oh silence you, no move outta the way.
Monica pushed Daniel to the side.
Daniel: Dawn take no notice of her, you look fine! No need to worry.
Dawn: Thanks Dan.
A boy entered the room.
?????: Ah! I'm running late. *pulls some clothes out of his bag*
Daniel: CHEREN?
Cheren looked up to see Daniel and Dawn.
Daniel: You're entering a contest?
Dawn: I thought you were a trainer?
Cheren: Yeah, but I wasn't too great at the gym battles it turned out and my true calling was contests, I've got 4 ribbons! Guess that makes us rivals Dawn.
Dawn: Awesome! I'll see you in the finals today then.
Piplup: PIP
Cheren: Yeah, let's hope!
Daniel: I'll catch you later Dawn, Cheren, good luck!
Daniel took his seat.

Margenta: Next up! Its Dawn!
Dawn ran out.
Dawn: Piplup, Deerling, Whismicott! SPOTLIGHT!
Dawn threw 3 pokeballs releasing her pokemon onto the stage.
Dawn: Deerling use Magical Leaf! Piplup, Bubblebeam!
The Leaves shot out into the stage, followed by the bubbles, which absorbed the leaves.
Crowd: OOooooooo
Dawn: Now Whismicott! Use Gust!
The wind picked up the bubble leaves and sent them around the arena and into the crowds.
Piplup hopped on Deerling.
Deerling began to gallop around the stage, whilst Piplup shot out more bubbles.
Whismicott used another Gust, bringing all the Bubbles together. Deerling then threw Piplup up into the bubbles above, creating an explosion of sparkles and leaves!
Whismicott used another gust to make them all fall gently.
The crowd went crazy.
Johanna: You managed to keep each pokemon active at all times. Good.
Mr S: Remarkable.
Nurse Joy: A performance filled with light hearted fun.
Margenta: And there you have it, thanks Dawn. Up next, Jeremiah.
Later, both Cheren and Monica went on to perform.
Margenta: Its results time! So, moving onto the next round its!
Monica, Cheren, Dawn and 5 other coordinators appeared on screen.
Daniel: She made it
Jack: Brilliant!
Dawn used Mienfoo, Trubbish, and Blitzle in the next round.
Soon the semi-finals approached, and Dawn was matched up against Monica.
1 minute to spare.
Dawn: Blitzle use Wild Charge! Trubbish use Sludge Bomb and Mienfoo Aura Sphere!
Monica: NO!
Monica's Simisage, Simisear and Simipour fainted.
Margenta: Monica's eliminated, which means the finals are Dawn Vs Cheren!
Monica: ARGH!!!!!!!! *bits her lip* THAT'S IT~! COME THE GRAND FESTIVAL, I SWEAR YOU'RE GOING DOWN! YOU'LL BE STOPPED! ARGH! *storms off*
Cheren: Good job Dawn! Lets go all out on each other.
Dawn: RIGHT! *shakes hand*
Margenta: So the final match, on my left, Dawn, on my right, Cheren! Times on the clock! BEGIN!!!!

Cheren: Dewott, Stunfisk, and Bouffalant you can do this!
Daniel: Dewott! The evolved form of Oshawott? Hey Oshawott! Come on out and watch!
Oshawott: Osha!
Dawn: Trubbish use Sludge Bomb! Blitzle Flame Charge!
Cheren: Stunfisk, use Thunderbolt! Dewott Ice Beam and Boufflant use Head Charge!
Jack: Those are some powerful attacks!
The Thunderbolt and Ice Beam merged together, slamming into both Trubbish and Blitzle, Boufflant charged behind slamming into Mienfoo.
Dawn lost points.
Dawn: Ah! Mienfoo Aura Sphere! Blitzle Flame Charge!
Blitzle used Flame Charge in order to speed up.
Cheren: Let's beat it! Use Head Charge again!
Boufflant and Blitzle collided with each other.
Cheren: (Tip for winning, gang up on Blitzle, then Mienfoo, then Trubbish) Dewott use Razor Shell!
Dawn: Protect Blitzle! Mienfoo Aura Sphere!
As Dewott jumped up to attack, Mienfoo fired its attack, smashing into Dewott's stomach.
Daniel: RIGHT ON!
Cheren: Use Bounce Stunfisk!
Stunfisk threw itself into the air.
Daniel: But how?
Jack: Sure looks weird!
Stunfisk came crashing down onto Blitzle!
Dawn lost more points.
Dawn: AH!
Blitzle was paralysed. Sparks from Blitzle's body and the paralysis surrounded its body.
Dawn: Trubbish! Use Sludge Bomb again!
Sludge fired out, covering Dewott's eyes.
Cheren: Water gun to remove the sludge.
Dewott removed the sludge, making Dawn lose more points.
Cheren: Now Boufflant use Megahorn!
Boufflant charged into Blitzle's almost lifeless body, knocking it backwards and into the Judges.

Johanna: AH! Dawn!
Dawn: Blitzle!
The electricity surrounding Blitzle caused Buffulant to become paralysed. Suddenly the sparks around Blitzle began to become absorbed by it. Blitzle began to glow.
Blitzle evolved into Zebstrika!
Cheren lost massive amounts of points.
Daniel: ALRIGHT! *pokedex*
Pokedex: Zebstrika, the Thunderbolt Pokémon and the evolved form of Blitzle. Zebstrika can be dangerous when angry, shooting lightning in all directions from its mane. It is lightning fast and when running at full gallop, thunder echos through the air.
Dawn: LET'S FINISH THIS! Zebstrika! Discharge! Mienfoo, High-Jump Kick!
Trubbish began to jump up and down.
Dawn: Uh-oh.
Trubbish winked. Just as the electricity touched Trubbish, it exploded!
The explosion and electricity combined together creating a huge explosion! The roof of the building started to fall into the stage. Mienfoo just dodged the attack from being high up.
Smoke appeared everywhere it was impossible to see.

The dust started to clear, Trubbish, Dewott, Zebstrika, Boufflant and Stunfisk were KO'd.
Mienfoo fell to the ground, hurting itself as it landed.
Margenta: Cheren is out of pokemon! DAWN'S THE WINNER!
Dawn jumped up as the crowd cheered.
Dawn: WE'RE GOING TO THE GRAND FESTIVAL!!!!!
Daniel: ALRIGHT DAWN!
Jack: Brilliant!
Minun: Mai
Piplup: PIP!
Johanna: Dawn, the Oculpied Contest ribbon is yours here.
Dawn: We did it! Thanks all of you.
Piplup, Deerling, Mienfoo, Trubbish, Whismicott and Zebstrika jumped up besides her.

Cheren: Dawn that was a fun battle! Your pokemon are super fun. Trubbish really packs massive amounts of power.

Johanna entered.
Dawn: Mom! I'm going to the Grand Festival.
Johanna: Congratulations Dawn. However, please train Trubbish, you won 2 contests by having it disobey you and do what it wants, it was lucky, if you want to win the Grand Festival, Trubbish oughta stop exploding.
Dawn:.......Right.
Daniel and the gang entered as Johanna left.
Daniel: Dawn, what's up? You won! You're going to the Grand Festival? Why so glum?
Dawn: Because I don't stand a chance if Trubbish keeps acting up, how can I justify myself as a coordinator if Trubbish keeps exploding.
Daniel: Every single person in this world has their own style, if Exploding is how you win, then so be it.
Dawn: Yeah, your right, but its not that, its just I don't tell Trubbish to do that that though.
Daniel: Well why don't the 2 of you train some more in the Don Battle Tournament.
Dawn: Sounds like a good idea.
Jack: Let's go celebrate your victory then Dawn! To Lucas' restaurant

Lucas: That a great contest, it's been awhile since I've seen such an outstanding prefrormance by you Dawn!
Alesha: Yes, It was amazing~
Lucas: We can all celebrate by ordering the largest thing we have on the menu...

Dawn: UH~! Dan! You should save battling for the tournament tomorrow.
Daniel: Ah yeah! Good idea!
The gang sat in the restaurant around the table.
Suddenly through the door, 2 trainers walked in.
????: Too fancy for us.
????: We'd never be able to afford this.
Daniel looked over.
Daniel: KELGEE!
Dawn: Rebeeca!
Kelgee: Daniel!
Rebecca: Dawn!
Daniel and Dawn rushed over.
Emolga: EM!
Minun: MAI
Elygem: ELYGEM!
Turtwig: Turtwig!
Daniel: Long time no see! How are things.
Kelgee: Going well. Already began training for the league.
Daniel: Training for the league? Wait, you....
Kelgee pulled out his badge case revealing 8 badges.
Daniel: Impressive! You began collecting when I was on 4 badges. Now you've overtaken me?
Kelgee: How many do you have?
Daniel: 7, we're here to get mine, Sid's and Meryl's last badges! And Dawn recently got her last ribbon.
Dawn: Sure did.
Rebecca: Looks like we'll be competing against each other in the Grand Festival.
Dawn: You got all your ribbons! ALRIGHT!
Piplup: Pip!
Daniel: Oh right, I forgot! Come join us, we're just about to eat.
Kelgee and Rebecca joined the table.
Daniel: Lucas, Alesha, this is our friends and rivals, Kelgee and Rebecca!
Kelgee: Very nice to meet you.
Rebecca: Hi there.
Daniel: Lucas is an old travelling companion of ours.
Daniel explained to Kelgee and Rebecca about the adventures in Sinnoh, Johto and the Orange Islands.
Kelgee: That sounds cool.
Jack: So, Kelgee, if your training for the league, does that mean your entering the Don Battle Tournament?
Kelgee: Yes it is.
Daniel: Very nice! Looks like I'll be taking you down. We're all entering too.
