Pokemon: Unova Journeys (Private)

The gang headed to the hotel and started to unpack.
Daniel: EVERYONE OUT YOU SOME!
Pignite, Dewott, Stoutland, Watchog, Scraggy, Braviary, Haxorus, Beartic, Gigalith and Golurk joined Minun and Turtwig on the balcony.
Daniel: Alright guys, we made it this far!
Jack and Dawn walked onto the balcony.
Dawn: Me and Jack are going for a walk round the trainer village, you coming?
Piplup: Pip!
Daniel: We'll catch you up later! Team talk!
Jack: Right.
Dawn and Jack left the hotel room and went to knock on Sid and Meryl's doors to see if they wanted to come.
Daniel: The 13 of us made it through the 8 gyms of Unova and this is where all our hard work. So, looking at the Unova rule book, we've got to get through a few preliminary rounds! 1 vs 1, and then a Double Battle! So, I was thinking, Scraggy! Pignite and Watchog will be used here!
Scraggy: Scraggy!
Pignite: Pignite!
Watchog: Wattttch!
The rest of the pokemon looked disappointed.
Daniel: Hey gang, no worries! I promise you, you will ALL battle at some point! We're going to win this!
Daniel's pokemon all cheered.

Sid:....tomorrow..... I need you focused.... you came here wanting to become powerful.... you switched to Dan feeling he`d be a better fit and you came back.... now is your chance to prove it
*Conkledurr nodded*
Sid: Good, no holding back.... you can do this, round one will be yours

*Sid agreed to tag along, having finished his small talk*

Dawn: There are loads of shops in the trainer village! Yippee!
Jack: Yeah, shops for all kinds of shoppers!
Dawn, Jack and Sid headed to the student village.
Jack: We should have dinner, so, let's go to a restaurant.
Dawn: Sure, but I would also like to see the big gates to the league too.
Jack: Then lets head there first, and meet Dan and Meryl at the restaurants later!
Dawn: Sounds like a plan!
The trio headed to the gates of the League.

Brett: well well, told you he’d show up
Skyla: I didn’t really doubt it
Sid: Brett….. what are you doing here?
Brett: I have 8 badges, I come to the league, that’s how this works isn’t it?
Sid: I mean at the gate
Brett: I figured this would be as good as place as any to catch up, for a bit it isn’t too busy here, not too much noise, anyway, this isn’t twenty questions, you are still the same huh?
Sid: Ya, so?
Brett: I told you this isn’t twenty questions…. You just can’t win a battle like that
Sid: I have beaten trainer after trainer in my current mindset, I will do it again!
Brett: Let me reiterated, you can’t win against me in a battle like that
Sid: Stop trying to baby me! I will fight my way and win!
Skyla: Stop trying to get under his skin Brett
Brett: It’s not that…. He keeps this attitude up and who knows what will happen, also, this angry boy attitude is getting old…. You are suppose to be a trainer, you are suppose to be this tough guy…. Man up already and move on, you can’t keep wasting time worrying about the past
Sid: What do y…
Brett: Shut up when I am talking to you, didn’t you learn anything on the bike? You cannot go back, you can look back, and maybe crawl back a bit, but you just have to keep moving forward, it’s done, over the only thing you can do is keep moving forward
Sid: That’s what I am trying to do!
Brett: No you aren’t, you are too bitterly holding on to one memory to see that the world is still bright, that not everything is wrong, that not everything is an excuse for you to just get angry at it
Sid: Stop pretending you know me!
Brett: Stop pretending I don’t!
Skyla: Hey, Brett, back down….
Brett:….fine… but boy…. I promise you this…. Face me in the arena with this much hatred… And you will lose
Skyla: I said stop it! If you two have a problem, deal with it at the league, not here *She grabs Brett and drags him away, annoyed*
Sid: Some people…
Brett: Stuborn...
Skyla: And you weren't?

Dawn: You know, that Brett kinda has a point Sid. Mika is the past now.........and look at you, you've made it this far to the league! You and your pokemon, that's what matters.

Sid: Easier said than done.....

As soon as Meryl walked into a room, confetti flew down from the ceiling. "I've been expecting you, Meryl~"

Meryl: ...Clive...? What...

Clive: Goodbye! *passed Meryl and ran out of the room*

Meryl: How did he.... the confetti....what?

???: You make the weirdest friends. *rolled her eyes*

Meryl: Hey Hilda...

Hilda: Oh yes, how do you like the Pokemon I traded you?

Meryl: Hmph. *glared at her*

Hilda: *giggled* Just what I thought.

Daniel and his pokemon left the hotel, and together they strolled down the street.
Daniel: Now, we should go get some food, I wonder where the others got too.
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: TURTWIG
Daniel: Hpmm........
????: YO!!!! DAN!
Daniel turned around to see Kelgee and Rebecca
Daniel: Oh hi guys, so you've been here for a few weeks right?
Kelgee: Yeah we have. We've been using this time to train. We're ready to win!
Emolga: EMOL!
Daniel: And Rebecca how are you?
Rebecca: I'm doing fine after the Grand Festival, its nice to relax.
Zigzagoon: ZIGZAG! GOOON
Daniel: That's good!
Kelgee: I see you've got a lot of pokemon to help you out!
Daniel's pokemon jumped up and down.
Daniel: Yeah, we're so ready for this! But we've got even more pokemon back home, although, you don't have to worry, I'm not using them in the League, when I came to Unova pokemon I wasn't going to use my other pokemon except Minun and Turtwig, and I'd stick with my Unova pokemon only. Which gives them equal training time!
Kelgee: I hope one day to get lots and lots of pokemon from many other regions.
Daniel: Oh you will, you've got so many more adventures ahead of you.
Kelgee: I hope so!
Daniel: So you guys had food yet?
Kelgee: We were just about to go to get food now.
Daniel: Well, lets go find the rest of the gang and get food together.
Rebecca: Sounds good, looking forward to seeing Dawn!
Daniel, Kelgee and Rebecca went to the gates, where they found Dawn, Jack and Sid.
Daniel: Hey guys! What's up!
Rebecca: Dawn! Its good to see you! Congratulations on getting to the top 8 in the Grand Festival!
Dawn: Rebecca, thanks, we can relax now! aha
Rebecca: I know right!
Daniel: So, we're going to grab some food! You guys coming?
Dawn: SURE!
Piplup: Pip
Jack: Of course! Although, I wonder where Meryl's got too.
Daniel: I'm sure she'll turn up eventually!
Minun: Mai
Daniel: Then let's go!
The gang went to the food court! They had an all you could eat buffet, and all of the gangs pokemon came out to join the feast!
Suddenly a big screen an announcement was made.
Announcement: WELCOME TRAINERS! Sign ups are now closed, Please may all competitors report to the gates at 8am tomorrow morning.
Daniel: Well....that's it! Its time, the league's going to start!
Announcement: There will be the league opening ceremony in 1 hour.
Dawn: This is going to be great!
Piplup: Pip!
Dawn: Me and Jack will be here to support you!
Jack: Sure thing!

Sid: Great.... going to be in the same room as Brett again huh? ....as long as I don't make eye contact it shouldn't be a problem Guess we`ll see everyone at the ceremony

As the gang had their feast, the hour past, the shops shut, and everyone made their way to the grand gates.
2 men dressed in black, with black caps over their heads, and long black coats stood either side of the gates.
The gang arrived at the gates.
Daniel: THIS IS IT! I CAN'T WAIT!
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig Turt
3 boys appeared behind the gang.
Jamie, Matthew and Thomas.
Jamie: So you made it?
Matthew: Excellent, more competition!
Thomas: I see you brought more ladies! *kisses Rebecca's hand*
Rebecca: Uh...he...hehe....Hi.
Daniel: Yeah of course we made it. We wouldn't miss this! Glad you guys could make it too.
Jamie: I see you still have baby pokemon.
Daniel: Yeah and your point being? Who'd you trade Scolipede too then?
Jamie: Nothing, but I still own Scolipede, you know, your Turtwig got me thinking, perhaps you're right, I mean, a traded Turtwig would never be as strong as yours, which is raised through friendship and trust.
Dawn: Huh? You mean, you actually listened?
Jamie: Yes, and I think my team has become a lot stronger.
Jack: That's great! You actually took Dan's advise, now I can't wait to see you fight.
Jamie: Yeah, I'm going to the top, this league is mine!
Stood a few rows in front was Hilbert, Bianca and Cheren.
Daniel: HILBERT!
Hilbert: Did someone say my name?
Hilbert turned around to see Daniel behind him, along with the gang.
Hilbert: Bianca, Cheren, come on, its Daniel, Sid, Meryl and the gang.
They confronted the group.
Hilbert: So you guys all made it, good work. But who are all these people?
Dawn: Allow me! Hilbert, Cheren, Bianca, meet, Kelgee, Rebecca, Jamie, Matthew, and Thomas. Kelgee, Rebecca, Jamie, Matthew, Thomas meet Hilbert, Cheren and Bianca.
The gang's rivals shook hands.
Suddenly, multiple fireworks shot into the skies, exploding creating a wonderful display, they exploded into the shapes of Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Servine, Pignite, Dewott, Serperior, Emboar and Samurott, then Prof. Juniper! The gym leaders of Unova and Alder the Champion.
Daniel: Look its Alder!
Dawn: And the gym leaders
Jack: And Prof. Juniper!
And then the big gates began to open.
Daniel jumped up and down in excitement.
The trainers entered through the gates into the stadium.
A man stood a stand, doing the victory sign.
Daniel: Who's he?
Hilbert: His name is Winston, he runs the Unova League.
Dawn: Oh.
The trainers made a gap between them, the torch barer was approaching

A dark brown skin, white hair and blue eye teen runs past the Crowd. It was Ty Snapshot, and floating next to him was the Victini from Liberty Island. he ran down the gap, smiling at the group as he passed, and climbing up the stairs to the large fire pit. He stops at the top, holding it up high with Victini, and placing it into the pit, setting it ablaze at once. "Let the games begin!"

Daniel: Ty?
Dawn: It is! It is!
Jack: Its been a while!
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig
Piplup: Piplup!
Daniel: And that's Victini? The one from Liberty Island?
Dawn: Yeah it is!
Jack: Once the ceremony is down, let's go see him.
Winston: Thank you Ty! Now, like he said, let the games begin! So, let's get things started, first of all, the preliminaries! Now then, the match ups!
On screen appeared hundreds of trainers.
The gang and their rivals included.
Daniel: Oh, let's see, who am I up against?
Daniel was up against a girl named Gweneth.
Sid was up against a boy named David
Meryl was up against Clive

Dawn: So you have your opponents, its finally happening.

The gang rushed over to see Ty.
Daniel: Ty Snapshot. Its good to see you again!
Dawn: And Victini too! Hi!
Jack: So you're Torch Barer......and a photographer, do you happen to be here to film the league?
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig!
Piplup: Piplup!

"Hay guys, been a long time." he told them. "Sure am Jack. Hope to get some awesome shots," he held up his camera. "So you guys have better put up a real fight!"
"Victini!" the Victini cheered, and mocked his pose.
"Tirtouga!" His Tirtouga shouted from his back, waving his flipper at Victini.
"Calm down you two." Ty told them. "Gosh, you two just don't get along."



Daniel: Ah! Water Vs Fire! Aha, so Ty guess that means you're sticking around, well why don't you stick around with us. Let me introduce you to the gang, Our rivals, Kelgee, Rebecca, Jamie, Matthew, Thomas, Hilbert, Bianca, and Cheren, meet Ty an old friend of ours.
They all said hi to Ty.
The gang stuck around for many hours at the Opening Ceremony. Then they headed back to the hotel, and sat on he balcony before heading to bed.
Daniel: So, the preliminary rounds start tomorrow!
Kelgee: I know my Emolga will get me through it.
Emolga: Emol!
Daniel: I'll be using Scraggy for the first round!
Scraggy: SCRAG SCRAGGY!


The next morning the gang headed to the stadium, it was time to for Daniel to battle. Earlier that day, Kelgee, Hilbert, Brett, Clive, and Matthew had already advanced to the second round of the preliminaries.
Dawn: GOOD LUCK DAN!
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: TURTWIG!
Piplup: Pip!
The gang sat in the crowds, ready to watch.
Referee: The battle between Daniel of Nuvema Town and Gweneth of Castelia City will now commence, please select your pokemon.
Daniel: GO! Scraggy!
Gweneth: GO Throh!
Referee: BEGIN!

Gweneth: Throh use Bulk Up!
Throh grew stronger
Daniel: Scraggy start off with Headbutt!
Scraggy slammed into the hard muscle, doing barely anything, only hurting Scraggy.
Daniel: Odd?
Gweneth: Throh! Seismic Toss!
Throh grabbed Scraggy.
Dawn: Oh boy
Daniel: Scraggy try and break free!
Scraggy struggled, but it was no use.
Throh jumped up high, then slammed Scraggy to the ground.
Scraggy: Scragg!
Daniel: Scraggy? You're okay right?
Scraggy shook it head.
Daniel: Good, use Hi-Jump Kick!
Scraggy jumped up, then headed at its opponent.
Gweneth: Dodge and use Brick Break.
Throh moved to the side, then Scraggy crashed into the ground, hurting itself, before getting crushed by Throh's fist.
Daniel: Scraggy!
Scraggy got up. It was hurt badly, and was struggling to get around quickly.
Daniel: Hpmmmmmm..... (think think think. We have to somehow make Throh slow too.....Aha, I know what to do, but I need to distract it first.) Sand Attack!
Sand flew into Throh making it difficult to see.
Then out of the sand emerged Scraggy who used Hi-Jump Kick, aiming for its legs though.
Scraggy hit Throh's knee, damaging it and slowing it down a lot.
Daniel: AHAH!
Jack: Nice use of Sand Attack.
Scraggy was out of breath.
Gweneth: Use Superpower!
Dawn: Oh no! That's strong
Kelgee: Dan has to do something, and quick!
Hilbert: Don't you dare lose this.
Jamie: If he does lose, I regret listening to his advice.
Throh held a large blue orb above it head, the orb grew bigger and bigger. Then it threw it at Scraggy.
Scraggy: SCRAG?
Daniel: Everything has a weak point, I'm sure if hitting it in the center with a move strong enough should cancel it out. Scraggy use Head Smash and aim for the center!
Scraggy launched itself head first at the center of the attack. It dove straight in, destroying the attack and then slamming into Throh. Both pokemon took heavy damage.
Gweneth: Use Karate Chop!
Throh began to lash out at Scraggy.
Scraggy was jumping from side to side to dodge, but growing tired quickly. Scraggy was then hit backwards, landing on the floor.
Daniel: NO!
Referee: SCRAGGY ....
Scraggy was still standing, breathing heavily.
Scraggy: SCRAGGY!!!!!!!!!
It opened its mouth, and inside a bright blue light appeared. A turquoise ball of energy was then fired at Throh, hitting it in the face throwing it backwards and KO'ing it.
Scraggy then fell.
Daniel: SCRAGGY.
Referee: Both pokemon are unable to battle, but Throh fell moments before Scraggy.....therefore, Daniel and Scraggy are the winners!
Daniel: ALRIGHT!!!! *picks up Scraggy* You were brilliant, thank you, tonight, we're going to have a celebration and you can have a nice long relaxing session. Thanks Scraggy.
Winston: And so, that means Daniel moves onto the next preliminary rounds.
Dawn: Yippee! He made it!
Jack: Good work guys, so next for us its Sid!

Ref: And Now, Sid vs David will begin!
David: Ready to rock!? *Got to the arena, with a guitar on his back*
Sid: Wait…. You’re the base player from last night…. But…. Your picture…. Looks
David: Come on, like I want fans flooding the gate, I am here to battle *David sent out his Seismitoad, and putting his guitar around the correct way in order to play it*
Sid: Alright, Conkeldurr, let’s show them how we roll! *the fighting Pokemon was sent out*
*David starts to play his guitar*

David: Alright, Rain Dance! *David ordered the attack playing a real low note*
Sid: While he’s down, Mach Punch! *Conkeldurr charged in for Seismitoad, however, Seismitoad countered blasting him with a Hydro Pump, blasting the Pokemon back* How…. He didn’t follow your commands!
David: Alright, let’s show them a Hydro pump! *David struck a very high note*
Sid: Prepare yourself to counter with Rock Throw when it gets in close!
*Seismitoad started to dance, causing rain to fall from above*
Sid: What the heck!
David: Rain dance! *David played a his current note rather long*
Seismitoad: Seismi! *the Pokemon let out a loud cry, hitting Conkeldurr*
Sid: Hyper Voice!? It’s not even matching up with incorrect orders!
*Conkeldurr got up slowly*
Sid: Rock Throw!
Conkeldurr: Durr! *Conkeldurr hit the ground, pulling rocks out of the ground, hitting them with his Pillars towards Seismitoad
David: *knocked the edge of the guitar* Hyper voice! *Seismitoad avoided the attack*
Sid: Mach Punch! *Conkeldur charged in, hitting Seismitoad into the air* Now, Chip Away! *Conkeldurr hit Seismitoad with it’s pillars, into the ground*
David: *continued playing, Seismitoad slowly getting up*

Daniel: That doesn't make sense at all? Its not listening to its trainer, yet its still giving Sid a run for his money.
Dawn: They're in sync! Literally!

Sid: Alright, Mach Punch
David: *played the low note* Brick Break!
*Conkeldurr was hit by a hydro Pump*
Sid: Conkeldurr… come on get up
David: Looks like we are getting to the end huh Seismitoad?
Seismitoad: Toad! *the Pokemon nodded in agreement, David switching songs*

Sid: Conkeldurr, Rock Slide!
David: *tapped his guitar, Seismitoad avoiding the attack*
Sid:…. So…. Your words are just distractions aren’t they?
David: Oh…. You caught on so soon, just at the start of this tournament too? Well, you still probabily haven’t figured out the system, Hydro Pump! *David said holding the note*
Sid: Clap the pillars! *Conkeldurr hit it’s pillars together, making a loader sound* Mach Punch!
David: Drat! *He tried to hit the hi note again, but before Seismitoad could react he was hit by the attack and was launched into the air*
Sid: Let’s end this! Mach Punch *Conkeldurr let go of one of his Pillars, becoming surrounded in a blue aura, grabbing Seismitoad, and throwing it back across the arena, fainting a few inches from Sid’s feet*
Ref: Seismitoad is unable to battle, Sid and Conkeldurr are the winners!

Daniel: Yes! Sid moves onto!
Winston: And so, Sid and his Conkeldurr will move on.
Jack: Meryl's next, YES!

Ty: Well done Sid.

Ref: Alright! Meryl vs. Clive.... Begin!
Clive: Let us dance, Meryl. *sends out Accelgor*
Meryl: Whatever you say... *sends out Vanillite*

Clive: Toxic! *a blast of poison flew towards Vanillite, causing the Fresh Snow Pokemon to become poisoned*
Meryl: Try and endure through it sweetie!
Clive: Thank You~
Meryl: I was talking to Vanill- ugh never mind, Avalanche! *snow fell from above, tumbling on top of Accelgor*
Clive: Haha~ Venoshock! *poison coursed through Vanillite's body, doing double as much damage as it normally would due to Vanillite being poisoned*
Meryl: Mirror Coat! *Vanillite's body became reflective, and shot a beam towards Accelgor doubling the already double damage right back at him*
Clive: *Accelgor knelt down with it's hands on the ground* Bug Buzz! *Accelgor buzzed very loudly in front of Vanillite's face*
Meryl: You know what to do, Vanillite! *Vanillite released an icy breath and encased the Accelgor in ice, fainting*
Ref: Clive and Accelgor have been defeated! This match goes to Meryl and Vanillite!
Clive: *picks up the frozen block of ice* Oh well, looks like I'm gonna have to use the oven when I get home! Farewell, Meryl! *walks past her, putting some crunched pieces of ice down her back*
Meryl: G-Goodbye...

Daniel: That was sudden.
Jack: One rival taken out in the first round.
The day continued, Hilda, Hilbert, Cheren, Bianca, Brett, Jamie and Thomas all advanced to the next round.
Brett just finished his battle, the final battle of the day.
Winston: Now that was an impressive victory, watch this space. So the second preliminaries start tomorrow, and these are the match ups!
Daniel was up against up against a young lad named Arthur, Meryl was up against Hilda and Sid was up against Lloyd.
Winston: The next battles will be the Double Battle preliminaries, if a trainer makes it through this round, they will join the remaining trainers in the next rounds, of 3 vs 3 matches. Now rest up, we've got another big day ahead of us.
Daniel: ALRIGHT!

The gang headed to the hotel, Daniel sat on his bed on a laptop, he was looking up his opponent.
Daniel: So, Arthur, he has over 60 pokemon, which are Unova pokemon, impressive. Its almost impossible to judge which pokemon he'll use, so I'll stick with Pignite and Watchog!
Pignite: PIGNITE!!
Watchog: WAAAAATCHOG!

Day 2!

The gang headed once again to the stadium. Daniel was up first. The second round of the preliminaries begins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Referee: And so the battle between Daniel and Arthur shall now commence.
Daniel: Watchog! Pignite! I choose you!!!
Arthur: For me, its Duosion! and Duosion!
Jack: Now that's a duo!
Dawn: Punny.....
Daniel: 2 Duosions? Odd. But oh well. Wait, I don't remember his pokemon list having 2 Duosions, that's odd.
Referee: BEGIN!
Arthur: Duosion use Rain Dance! Duosion use Faint Attack!
Daniel: Wait? Faint Attack?
Rain began to pour down.
Daniel: What's he doing? Uh Pignite quick use Flame Charge! Watchog use Crunch!
Pignite was ignited.....but suddenly, the rain put it out. Pignite just ran at its opponents, but was then tripped over by Faint Attack.
Watchog then jumped onto Duosion! It bit into it, but Duosion didn't take as much damage as it should.
Suddenly Duosion began to change, revealing Zoroark!
Dawn: It was an illusion!
Daniel: Zoroark? Of course! Alright! I've been confused enough, let's end this! So this rain is going put out the flames? That's fine! We should still get enough speed from Flame Charge! AGAIN!
Pignite ran forward.
Arthur: Psychic!
Pignite was thrown backwards into Watchog!
Daniel: WAH? This guy has me trapped. Well then Watchog use Thunderbolt!
Watchog shot a bolt of electricity at Duosion.
Duosion: DUOOOOO!
Daniel: Excellent! Now Pignite, use Cross Chop!
Pignite launched forward and hit Zoroark!
Arthur: No! Not to worry, I shall use Confuse Ray!
A ray hit Pignite and Watchog.
Daniel: Huh? Pignite use Cross Chop again, Watchog use Thunderbolt!
The 2 pokemon looked at each other, then began attacking each other.
Daniel: GUYS WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Jack: That's not good, the confusion has caused them to attack each other.
Daniel: This isn't good, what am I to do?
Arthur: Zoroark use Night Daze!
Zoroark's eyes glowed light blue and its body became surrounded by a crimson aura. It then raised its arms above its head. The aura around its forearms became thicker. It then slammed its arms down into the ground. A pink and crimson glowing forcefield of energy appears from the aura around Zoroark's arms and grew larger, spreading all around it.
Pignite and Watchog were hit!
Watchog and Pignite snapped out of their confusion.
Daniel: Its Duosion! I need to take it down! Watchog, grab Pignite's tail.
Watchog grabbed Pignite's tail.
Daniel: USE FLAME CHARGE!
Pignite began to ignite, but the rain put it out, it then dashed forward.
Arthur:.....Wait..........
Pignite got close.
Arthur: Psychic!
Daniel: Let go! AND DUCK!
Watchog let go of Pignite's tail. It then ducked.
Pignite was lifted up and thrown backwards.
Daniel: Hypnosis!
Watchog jumped up, circles came out of its eyes, Duosion looked directly at it, it then began to sleep.
Arthur: Huh?
Daniel: Crunch! CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH!
Watchog began to bite Duosion, until it was KO'd.
Arthur: Return. Impressive. Zoroark, use Night Daze again!
The 2 pokemon were hurt again!
Pignite and Watchog were feeling weak.
The rain stopped.

Watchog flipped forward, slashing Zoroark! The burn on Zoroark began to turn the water warm, scalding Zoroark!

Daniel: Finish this! Thunderbolt and Flamethrower!
The 2 attacks combined and threw Zoroark back, KO'ing.
Referee: Duosion and Zoroark are unable to battle, therefore the winner is Daniel, Pignite and Watchog!

Daniel ran up to his 2 pokemon, putting his arms around them and hugging them both together!

Sid: Shadow Claw! *Heatmor tried to counter the attack, but was massively out muscled by the ape*
Lloyd: Keep it up, Rollout! *Darmanitan rolled into a ball and hit Heatmor yet again*
Sid: Serperior, protect it! *Serperior got in the way, but was hit by the attack
Lloyd: Gyro ball! *Serperior was hit again*

Sid: Flamethrower! *Heatmor launched the attack, hitting Darmanitan, causing the Pokemon to slow down, but in the end, it still managed to hit Heatmor, knocking the Pokemon back* Serperior, Leaf storm! *Ferrothorn was hit by the Leaf Storm attack*
Lloyd: Flare Blitz!
Sid: Flamethrower!
*Both Fire types charged in, hitting each other’s grass types and knocking them out*
Lloyd: Keep it up, one more hit should finish it! Rollout, let’s deal with that powerful fire type!* Darmanitan charged for Heatmor yet again, faster than the other two times*
Sid: Flamethrower, and dodge! *Heatmor launched the attack yet again, slowing Darmanitan to the speed it was before, then jumping out of the way, avoiding the attack* Now, Flamethrower! *Heatmor launched the attack, hitting Darmanitan in the side, knocking it to the ground*
Lloyd: Get up

Sid: Flamethrower! *Heatmor launched the attack, hitting the arena’s boundaries, lighting them on fire*

Sid: Another, Flamethrower! Box it in! *Heatmor launched another fire box, this time, confining Darmanitan*
Lloyd: Flamethrower yourself! * Darmanitan launched the attack, but was easily dodged by Heatmor*
Sid: Not so good at long range huh? Shadow Claw! *Heatmor approached, hitting Darmanitan with it’s claw, knocking the Pokemon back, into the flames, while in the flames Heatmor seemed to actually be gaining strength*
Lloyd: Rollout!
Sid: Flamethrower! *Heatmor launched a flamethrower, this one stronger than the previous, actually stopping Darmanitan in it’s tracks, in the confined box*
Lloyd: g….Give it everything you got, Flare Blitz! * Darmanitan charged in with a powerful strike, hitting Heatmor, trying to finish the job, Heatmor though, seemingly unharmed*
Sid: Is that really all you got?
Lloyd: H…how, you were so close to losing that should have….
Sid: End this battle, Flamethrower! *Heatmor launched the attack, knocking Darmanitan into the air*
Lloyd: Land!
Sid: Shadow Claw! *Heatmor ran up and uppercut the airborne Pokemon, knocking it into the air*
Lloyd: Rollout!
Sid: Flamethrower! *Heatmor looked up to the Pokemon, launching the attack, hitting Darmanitan, knocking out the fire ape Pokemon*

Meryl: Alright then, Flame Wheel! *Larvesta surrounded itself in a ring of fire 10x it's size, scurrying into the glassy surface of Chandelure* Drilbur! Drill Run!
The 2 moles charged at each other at full force. They collided, and tried to force each other backwards with all their strength.
Meryl: Drilbur, listen to me, we've come this far, we have to beat her, use all your strength, I know you can do it.
Drilbur heard its trainers calls, it then put all its into the attack, knocking Excadrill backwards and then drilling into it, KO'ing it
Hilda: Flame Blast that pest back where it came! *after Larvesta performed it's move, it was blasted back to Meryl's side, the attack continued, slamming into Drilbur and Ko'ing it instantly*
Hilda: Return Excadrill
Meryl: Drilbur, you did great, thanks. Are you... *Larvesta flicked back up on it's feet* Good, how about a different taste? Wild Charge! *Larvesta scurried at top speed towards Chandelure, knocking it back*
Hilda: Sorry, but this chandelier is powered by flame. Burn with Overheat! *Chandelure covered Larvesta in an intense heat, leaving it on the ground*
Meryl: *Larvesta did nothing, but continued to lie in it's place* What did you... *Larvesta's body glowed white, revealing Volcarona* Alright! Now we can fly! Acrobatics! *began to spin in the air, attacking Chandelure from different angles*
Hilda: Just the type of excitement I was looking for. *put on an unsettling smile* Shadow Ball! *the sphere of purple aura hit Volcarona in the chest, knocking it back, but still airborne*
Meryl: That's right buddy, don't let that bring you down! Let's show them.... Fire Dance! *snapped her fingers, and whipped out an acoustic guitar, as Volcarona began to spin around, surrounding Chandelure in flames*

Meryl: I'd say it's about time to end this. Let's blow this candle out! Hurricane! *Volcarona flapped it's glossy wings back and forth repeatedly, creating a large gust of wind swerving it's way into Chandelure, who fell into the ground with light only matching the charcoals left in a campfire* Thank You very much! *both Meryl and Volcarona bow in response to the audience's cheer*

The day continued, the rest of the gangs friends and rivals made it through to the next rounds also.
Winston: And so, the preliminary rounds are finished. This is where things start to get tough. The remaining 256 trainers shall fight tomorrow! These will be 3 vs 3 battles!

Sid: Electroweb! *Galvantula launched the attack which caught and popped the bubbles as it flew towards Swanna*
Cody: Dodge and use wing attack! *Swanna got out of the way of the attack and then struck the bug Pokemon with it’s wing, knocking the Pokemon back*
Sid: Another Electro Web! *Galvantula launched the attack, Swanna dodged it* Now, tackle the thing! *Galvantula then jumped on the Pokemon and attached to it* end this with an electro Web! *Galvantula launched the attack at it’s prey, knocking it out*
Cody: Return! *Swanna was returned* Beartic, I choose you! *the Pokemon was sent out*
Sid: Air Slash!
Cody: Frozen Breath! *Beartic launched the attack, hitting Galvantula`s weakpoint, causing the Pokemon to keel over in pain* now, Brick Break! *Beartic swung it’s arm down, hitting Galvantula, ending the battle between them*
Sid: Return! *Galvantula was returned* Druddigon! Go! Glare! *Druddigon glared at Druddigon, causing it to be paralyzed*
Cody: Frozen Breath! *Beartic once again launched it`s icy attack, hitting Druddigon in it`s weakpoint, leaving it in pain on the ground* now end it with Brick Break! *Beartic launched the attack,
Sid: Dragon Claw! *Druddigon countered the hit, both hitting each other, but Beartic still knocked out Druddigon*
Sid: Return…. Swoobat, I leave it up to you
Cody: Frozen Breath!
Sid: Psychic and stop it! *Swoobat’s eyes turn a light blue, then Beartic is hit by the attack, turned around, causing Beartic’s attack to miss* Now, Air Slash! *Swoobat launched the wind blades, hitting Beartic, and knocking out the Pokemon*
Cody: Alright… return Beartic! I chose you… Garbodor! *the garbage Pokemon was sent out*
Sid: Psychic!
Cody: Gunk Shot! *Garbodor launched the attack, hitting Swoobat before it could get off it’s Psychic
Sid: ….Fine, let’s take to the sky!
Cody: Gunk shot! *again the attack was missed, this time it couldn’t reach Swoobat*
Sid: Alright, that’s high enough, use psychic, force it to the ground and end this! *Garbodor was surrounded by a blue aura and forced to kneel, being pushed against the ground, unable to fight or reach Swoobat and fell unconscious from the pressure*
