Pokemon: Aloha Alola!

Alvis: Absorb! *Cutiefly tried to zap some energy from Ixie*

Lauren: Extrasensory! 
Ixie had some of its energy zapped. It then attacked back.

*Cutiefly took the attack, losing some of it's air, recovering from the attack*
Alvis: Good now fairy wind!
*Cutiefly tried to launch the attack, but was too weak, instead crashing into the ground unable to go on*
Alvis:....Good job, you put up quite the fight little guy *Alvis returned Cutiefly to it's Pokeball*

Lauren: AHA! Ixie! We won! See, if when they try their cheating moves, we still beat them. We're just too good! 
Jocey: Uh...I wouldn't say it was a cheating move, its an official league move...
Lauren: Don't defend him. 
Jocey: Well I'm just saying..

Alvis: *returned his Pokemon*
Alvis:... you may want to learn more..... there is more to battles than attacking attacking attacking *Alvis held his Pokeball* though I have no right to talk, we lost badly

Lauren: You stick to your cheats, and we'll stick to our skill okay! *smiles*
Ixie puffed its tuff of hair above its head, showing attitude.
Jocey: I'm with Alvis, you need to think about a wider range of moves. 
Lauren: Oh okay....how many battles have you won?
Jocey: Not really relevant.
Lauren: It is when you haven't got any official wins. Pretty sure that random Pichu helped you before.
Jocey: I so want you to battle Dan right now.
Lauren: Not going to happen.
Jocey: Because you're scared?
Lauren: Because he's resting.
Jocey: We should go visit him.
Lauren: Yeah I don't see any pokemon I want around here.
The group started heading back to the pokecenter......in the bushes, a Pichu stood, watching them.

*Alvis followed them, looking a little down on the lose, but trying not to show it, though not noticing the spy*

Having collected Daniel from the pokecenter, the gang made their way to their next destination. 

They were close to entering their first island trial. However, they decided to stop off for a spot of lunch. 
Lauren: Joss, its your turn to cook for us.
Jocey: No, you said you'd do it. I did it the other day.
Lauren: Yeah like last week, now it's back to you.
Jocey: But you haven't even cooked for us yet. 
Daniel, Minun and Turtwig's stomachs began making noises.
Daniel: Will someone please make lunch.....
Evan was playing with Litten and Togemaru. They eventually stopped due to hunger, Evan joined Daniel and Alvis at the dinner table, Togedemaru began to sleep in his arms whilst Litten was purring and rubbing its face into his arm. 
Daniel: Looks like you've got a big fan there Ev.
Evan: Aha, he's cute! Aren't you Litten! 
After 40 minutes, Lauren and Jocey finally served food.
Lauren: Its done! My sandwiches are done!
Jocey: Well my soup is done too! Its going to taste so nice.
Lauren: Not as nice as my sandwiches
Jocey: Better.
Lauren: UH. As if! 
Lauren and Jocey glared at each other. 
Daniel: I really don't care who's is better, I just want food. 
Lauren and Jocey approached the table, when suddenly a flock of bird pokemon dived from the trees. 
Lauren: What's going on!?!
Jocey: AH! We're under attack! 
Vully: PIX!
Ixie: PIX PIX!
The bird pokemon swooped down, stealing the food. 
Daniel: Minun, Thunderbolt! 
Minun tried to attack, but was unable to due to fatigue. 
Daniel: NO!!!! OUR FOOD!
Evan: AHHHH! 
The bird pokemon flew away. 
Daniel: How dare they! 
Turtwig: Twig!
Litten: Lit lit! 
Evan: What were those pokemon? 
Daniel: *pokedex* 
Pokedex: Pikipek, the woodpecker pokemon. It can peck at a rate of 16 times a second to drill holes in trees. It uses the holes for food storage and for nesting. 
Daniel: So, those Pikipek think they can just steal our food. 
Lauren: My sandwiches! 
Jocey: They split my soup everywhere!
Lauren: Ha, guess they didn't like it, but at least they took my sandwiches, they must have liked those.
Evan: I'm so hungry! 
Daniel: Minun, Turtwig, Litten! LET'S GET THOSE PIKIPEK!
Minun, Turtwig and Litten jumped up ready to hunt, then suddenly stopped as their stomachs rumbled. 
Daniel: UGH! I'm so hungry too........we've got to get that food. The pokedex said that the Pikipek make holes in trees to store food, if we find the tree they're storing the food in, we could get our food back. 
Evan: Sounds good. 
Lauren: Then we can enjoy my sandwiches. 
Jocey: Well, I'm going to make another batch of soup. If you guys fail, at least we can enjoy my soup. Right Vully?
Vully breathed a flame. 
Daniel: Good idea. GANG! LET'S FIND THOSE PIKIPEK!
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turtwig!
Litten: LIT LIT!
Jocey: Good luck!

Alvis: We'll find them, don't worry *Alvis said, sending out his two flying Pokemon*

The group searched the woods, looking for the Pikipek. 
Daniel: We've searched every tree.....I still haven't seen the nest.
Evan: I'm tired.
Lauren: How can they be so good at hiding? 
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig!
Litten: Lit lit! 
Daniel: Hold up, those Pikipek, they stole our food! Maybe we can tempt them to us. 
Evan: Oooooo
Lauren: That's not a bad shout. 
Daniel: *pulls out a chocolate bar* 
Daniel placed the chocolate onto the path, then the group hid in a bush. 
Daniel: Any minute now.....

*Alvis carefully waited with them

Several hours later. 
Evan and Togedemaru had fallen asleep in the bush. Lauren was applying make up in her portable mirror. 
Daniel: OH COME ON! 
Minun: Mai!
Turtwig: Twig!
Daniel: Why haven't they come for the food. 
Lauren: Maybe Pikipek don't like chocolate.
Daniel: But its chocolate? Who doesn't like chocolate?
Evan: Can I have it? I'm starving. 



Elsewhere, Jocey had laid the table, with her a new meal prepared.
Jocey: I did it! I made a meal. A proper feast. For the first time!
Vully: VUL PIX VUL!
Jocey: We did it! 
Vully high fived Jocey with its tail. 
However, a flock of bird pokemon appeared in the horizon. 
Jocey: NO?!? Not again! Vully, quick! SAVE THE FOOD!
Jocey and Vully began to panic, trying to protect the food. The Pikipek flew down, sweeping down at the food. 
Jocey: NO!!!!
Suddenly a bolt of electricity came out of the bushes, striking the Pikipek, causing them to drop the food. The majority of them fainted, however one fled. 
Jocey: PHEW! *sighs* That was so close. What happened? 
Jocey ran over to the bush. But nothing was there. 
Jocey: I sweat the attack came from here. How strange...

Alvis: Maybe we should call it a day, it is getting late...

Lauren: Sounds good *closes mirror* 
Evan: FINALLY!
Togedemaru: Toge! 
Lauren, Evan and Alvis started heading back. 
Daniel: Maybe they're right......
Suddenly, one lone Pikipek flew overhead. 
Daniel: A PIKIPEK!
Lauren: Awwwww here we go! 
Daniel chased after the Pikipek, following it. 
Evan: We....were....so...close to food. 
The group followed. 
Minun, Turtwig and Litten running behind. 


The Pikipek flew into one tree. 
Daniel: That's it! That's the nest. WE FOUND IT! AHAH! OUR FOOD! 
Daniel climbed up the tree and into the hole. 
Minun, Turtwig, Litten and Evan followed.
Lauren: As if I'm climbing up there. 
Inside the tree, Daniel looked around, completely surrounded by food. 
Daniel: So much food. These Pikipek must have stolen off loads of people. 
The one Pikipek spotted Daniel.
Pikipek: PIK PIK!
Daniel: Hand back the food. Minun, use....
Litten launched forward.
Daniel: Litten? 
Litten landed on the ground, its cheeks were puffy.
Daniel: Wait? What happened?
Evan pulled on Dan's arm.
Evan: Dan, I think Litten ate Pikipek. 
Daniel: WHAAAAAT?
Minun: MAAAAI
Turtwig: TWIGGG!
Litten's cheeks were moving, when suddenly, one cheek began moving rapidly. 
Litten spat Pikipek out, shooting it across the floor in front of Daniel. 
Daniel: It must have started pecking. 
Litten's claws came out, as it launched itself at Pikipek again. 
Pikipek looked up, its feathers soaking with saliva. 
Daniel: LITTEN! STOP!
Litten came closer. 
Daniel: NO! 
Daniel threw a pokeball, hitting Pikipek, Pikipek went inside the pokeball, it shook once.....twice......three times.....CLICK!

Litten landed on the pokeball, it then began to play with it like a cat with a ball of string. 
Daniel: Huh? Wait....I just caught a new pokemon? 
Evan: Now we can eat! YAY!


Daniel, Evan and the pokemon climbed out of the tree, meeting up with Lauren and Alvis. 
Daniel: The good news is, I got a new pokemon...
Lauren: Did you catch the Pikipek? 
Daniel: Yes, I kind of had to it, which is what the bad news is. Litten tried to eat it.
Lauren: EAT IT?

Alvis:....ya Pokemon here in Alola are alot more... wild than other places, Mareanie is particularly known for being alot more aggressive and much more of a predator than most Pokemon around the place and it's only a first form

Daniel: Pokemon in Alola really are different to elsewhere..
Evan: Aren't they just. 
Lauren: I wonder what Pokemon in other regions are like then.
Daniel: Litten, Pikipek is part of the team now, you need to treat it like part of the gang.
Litten didn't look too pleased. 


The gang made their way back to the Jocey. 
Lauren: I thought you were making more food? This place is a mess. 
Jocey: I DID! I made the best looking food EVER......it was so good, the Pikipek came back for some. 
Daniel: That's why Pikipek came flying back? But what happened, it was on its own this time? 
Jocey: A bolt of electricity came out of the bush and shocked the rest of them...
Evan: An electric bush? Really?
Jocey: I think it may have been that Pichu from before, but when I checked, it had already gotten away. 
Daniel: That Pichu must have taken a liking to you then.

Alvis:*Alivs spoke ina joking manner* or maybe your cooking

Lauren: Nah, it couldn't have been the cooking, it wasn't as good as mine! Now since you made this mess, its your turn to clean up. 
Jocey: My turn? WHAT?
Lauren: Ah ah ah, stick to the routine. 
Jocey: Grrrr
Daniel and Evan both chuckled.

*Alvis smiled, looking at his three Pokeballs*
Alvis: We better eat something, we'll need some energy for Ilima

A few days later, the group headed off to Route 2. They arrived outside some sort of green cave. 
Daniel: Is this it? This is the 'trial site'? 
Outside the cave was 2 wooden tribal signs. 
Evan: What are those?
Jocey: Who knows, they look odd..
Lauren: I think they mean that this is where the trials are. 
Daniel: So this is it? This is the trial site? 
Evan: So this is your first challenge. YAY I can't wait! 
Daniel and Alvis entered the cave, followed by Lauren and Jocey. 
Minun: Mai?
Turtwig: Twig? 
????: Nice to see you made it here safely! I hope you are well! 
Lauren: Ilima!
Ilima: Hello Lauren, I see you've bonded well with your pokemon!
Lauren: Well, Ixie isn't so bad after all
Ixie: IX IX!
Ilima: So who will be taking on the trial today? 
Daniel: ME AND ALVIS!
Ilima: Very well, once you start the challenge, you will not be able to leave, leaving will end the trial. Is that okay?
Daniel: Sounds good
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Turt!
Ilima: Excellent, then I guess, I'll leave it up to you two to decide who's going first? But I ask, when one of the challengers is participating, that the other challenger leaves the trial site until its over. This is to keep the element of surprise. 
Daniel: Oh....so we won't see each other participating?
Ilima: I'm afraid so. It may not be like that for every trial. But for my trial, this is the case. 
Evan: I want to watch though.
Ilima: Friends may watch both trials. But are not allowed to interact with the other participant until both trainers have completed the trial. 
Daniel: ALRIGHT. THIS SOUNDS COOL!

*Alvis looked at his Pokemon*
Alvis: Alright, well since you are more experienced and you want to keep the element of surprise, I guess it makes sense for him to go first, so he doesn't have a sense of security when I complete it!

Ilima: Very well, looks like the first challenger shall be Dan. 
Daniel: Thanks Alvis! 
Ilima: Well then, Alvis, please step outside the trial area.

*Alvis stepped back, waiting by the gate*

Daniel took his place. 
Evan and the girls stood watching with Ilima.
Ilima: Identify and defeat all of the pokemon within the cavern. You are permitted to use 2 pokemon! BEGIN! 
Daniel: Sounds like a blast! GO Turtwig! 
Turtwig jumped off Daniel's shoulder and on to the ground. 
Daniel began searching the cavern, looking inside the a burrow. 
Out of the burrow, a pokemon jumped out! 
????: Yungoos!!
Daniel: Whoa? What's that? 
Ilima: Yungoos, because of the sun light, the Yungoos are awake. And ready to battle.
The Yungoos used Tackle! 
Daniel: Turtwig use Earth Power!
Yungoos ran at Turtwig, however, the ground split as it ran forward, Yungoos fell over hitting its face. 
Ilima: Well done, you stopped the Yungoos in its tracks. 
Daniel: Now wrap it up with Seed Bomb! 
Seeds landed in the cracks where the ground had opened up. Suddenly exploding, sending dirt and bits of the ground all over the place. Yungoos fainted. 
Evan: Piece of cake! That was easy! 
Lauren: Its like he didn't even lift a finger. Turtwig is strong!
Jocey: They're doing so well.
Daniel: Good job Turtwig, let's wrap this up quickly. 
Suddenly from another burrow, a bigger pokemon, sharing some resemblance to Yungoos appeared, it used Super Fang on Turwig. 
Daniel: TURTWIG!
Turtwig took plenty of damage. 
Ilima: Super Fang takes off half of an opponents health. 
Lauren: So Turtwig has only got half its energy? 
Ilima: Correct Lau. 
Jocey: Poor Turtwig!
Evan: Turtwig's been through worse. 
Daniel: Turtwig use Superpower! 
Turtwig became surrounded by Blue aura, it then picked up a large rock with its mouth, and tossed it at the pokemon. 
The pokemon was hit by the rock, taking damage. 
Daniel: Alright, now use Crunch! 
Turtwig ran at the pokemon, ready to crunch down on it, however, the opposing pokemon used Super Fang, both pokemon tried biting one another, each biting down on each others tail. 
Turtwig: TWIIIIIIG!
Ilima: Gumshoos looks weak. 
Jocey: So that's a Gumshoos?
Ilima: Its the evolved form of Yungoos.
Evan: I knew it! 
Turtwig's health halved again. 
Ilima: Both pokemon are feeling weak. 
Daniel: Now's your chance, your foes weak! Use Seed Bomb! 
Seeds began to appear in Turtwig's mouth. 
The Gumshoos' eyes began to glow, catching Turtwig's attention! 
Gumshoos used Leer, blinding Turtwig! Turtwig was unable to see, and fired the Seed Bomb!
The seeds flew into the air, hitting the roof of the cavern and exploding. 
Rocks came crashing down from the roof, hitting both Turtwig and Gumshoos!
Daniel: TURTWIG! 
Evan: OH NO!
Minun: Mai
Togedemaru: TOGE!
Jocey: I hope its okay! 
Vully: Vul Vul
Lauren: Those looked like big rocks! That must have hurt! 
Ixie: Ix Vulpix! 
Turtwig crawled out of the rocks, its eyes swirling, as did Gumshoos. 
Ilima: Both pokemon are unable to battle. However, all of the cavern's pokemon have been defeated. 
Daniel: Turtwig! 
Daniel picked up Turtwig. 
Daniel: You were amazing Turtwig! Thank you! We defeated the trial Ilima! We win! YAY!
Minun: MAI MAI!
Evan: AWESOME!
Ilima smiled.
Ilima: Its not over just yet.
Daniel: It isn't? 
Ilima: No, I'm afraid not. Choose your next and final pokemon, then proceed further to the cavern. 
Daniel: There's more? Okay then, GO Litten! 
Litten: LIT LIT! 
Daniel and Litten continued through the cavern, the gang and Ilima following. 
In front of Daniel and Litten appeared a podium, holding a shiny crystal. 
Daniel: What's that?
Ilima: A Z Crystal, you can use it to unlock special moves. Its yours. Take it.
Daniel reached out, suddenly a loud noise emerged. Jumping down from a ledge up above, landed a large Gumshoos. 
Daniel: WOAH!
Litten: LIT
Turtwig: Twiiiiiig!
Evan: Its...it HUGE!
Jocey: Why's it so big?
Lauren: AHHH The other Gumshoos wasn't this big.
Ilima: Welcome to the final part of the trial. The Totem pokemon, each trial you compete in will have a totem pokemon, a pokemom so much stronger than the ones you've seen before. Defeat this pokemon and you'll complete the trial. 
Daniel: This....is...insane. 
Litten smirked. Ready for the challenge.
Lauren: It'll never win it! Litten is so small in comparison. 
Jocey: I fear you may be right.
Evan: No way! Litten will win! Litten you can do it! 
Litten heard Evan's cheer and its ambition grew strongly.

*Alvis held his Pokeball, hearing the commotion*
Alvis: We can do this, we can do this
