Pokemon: Aloha Alola!

Daniel: Then welcome aboard kiddo! I've been a trainer for 12 years now, nearly 13! Although, truth be told, this whole island trial thing is new to me, I'm used to gym battles. 
Jocey: Lauren, your friend, Ilima, he said that the trial is just off Route 2 right?
Lauren: Yes, I can get us there.

Alvis: Well on the island trial thing I can be your guide, I have been in Alola here for about 6 years when the family set up shop here off the coast of Exeggutor island, so I am very familiar with it

Lauren: UH. Hello, am I invisible? I'm the guide here kid, move aside. I am born and bred in Alola. 
Daniel: Now now Lauren.
Lauren: But seriously though, I've got it all planned out, we get to the island trial, then once we wrap up there, we take on the grand island trial, then move to our next island. 
Evan: I like that you've planned ahead.
Daniel: That's great and all, but things don't normally go to plan when travelling with me, so don't count on it so easily. 
Jocey: Oh Alola, its going to be exciting.

Alvis: I didn't mean as a guide, sorry, I meant more with what a trial is and stuff, lead the way, please *Alvis stood at the back, following them*

With a completed line up, the group were well on their way to their next destination! The trial site! 

Daniel and company were heading along the route. 
Jocey: *holding pokedex* You know, now we're a group of pals, I think its time we started making some memories of our adventures. 
Daniel: How do you propose we do that?
Jocey: With this! *holds the pokedex* 
Lauren: OMG! I love that idea, okay just let me brush my hair and do my make up.
Jocey: You look nice the way you are, you don't need to do that.
Lauren: Awww, but no. I really do. *starts brushing hair, then applying make up*
Evan: She really loves her looks doesn't she?
Daniel: You know, we haven't actually seen her without make up have we?
Evan: I wonder what she looks like? 
Lauren: That boys, will remain a mystery. NO boy will ever see what lies underneath my make up. 
Daniel: But you get to see what we look like every day.
Lauren: I SAID NO!
Evan and Dan cowardly backed down.
Daniel and Evan: Okay....
Lauren: Okay, ready. 
Jocey: Great. 
Daniel, Evan, Lauren, Alvis, Jocey, and Minun, Turtwig, Litten, Togedemaru, Vully, Ixie, Rowlet and Riolu all posed for the groups first photo. 
Jocey: There! AHA *looks at photo* Perfect! 
Lauren looks over.
Lauren: Oh no.....take another, I look really bad in that.
Jocey: What, no you don't
Lauren: Are you serious? I look awful. Take it again. 
Daniel, Evan and Alvis all watched as Jocey proceeded to compliment Lauren, for Lauren to shoot down the compliment, for Jocey to then compliment her again and the cycle continue. 
Daniel: You know, I think we've got our hands full with these two.  
Evan: I don't want another photo.
Daniel: Me either kiddo.....
Suddenly, 5 people ran past, wearing black tank tops and white bandanas on their heads, all with chain necklaces. 
Daniel: Woah! Watch where you're going!
Jocey took photos on the pokedex as they ran past. 
Lauren: HOW RUDE! AREN'T YOU GOING TO APOLOGISE? Ugh. Creeps. 
Evan: They nearly made me drop Togedemaru. 
Jocey: Who were they? *looks at photos* 
Daniel: They look like crooks to me.
Jocey: They all seem to be wearing skull necklaces in these photos. 
Lauren: Skull necklaces?

Alvis:...seems familiar, though they aren't too known for causing natural disasters so they really aren't on my radar, sorry

A man in a suit came running.
Man: STOP THOSE THIEVES! 
Daniel: Thieves? 
The man ran up to them.
Man: Team Skull, they stole some important equipment.
Daniel: Team Skull? 
Lauren: Of course, those guys were Team Skull! 
Daniel: Who are Team Skull?
Lauren: They're criminals of Alola, they go around stealing things that don't belong to them. 
Evan: Nothing new really.
Daniel: Yeah seems like every region has some team like that. 
Man: They have equipment, that in the wrong hands could be dangerous. 
Daniel: We've dealt with crooks before, we'll find them. 
Evan: Its a day to day business for us, stopping criminals. 
Man: You would help us? Oh thank you.
Daniel: Right, gang, after Team Skull....
Jocey: Woah woah woah, they're criminals. An organisation.
Lauren: There would be hundreds of them. Shouldn't we leave that to the police?
Daniel: The police have enough on their plates, we can handle it. Right?
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig!
Evan: Yeah
Daniel: You two could handle it, really, you just defeated 2 criminals single handily and went head to with Alvis' criminal foes too. We can take them all on between the 5 of us.

Alvis: come on you two will be great *Alvis sent out his Rowlett*

Lauren and Jocey looked at each other nervously. 
Daniel: Oh come on! 
Daniel and Evan ran off after the crooks, with Minun, Turtwig, and Togedemaru. Alvis and Rowlet followed. 
Lauren: Here we go! 
Jocey: Right!
Lauren and Jocey ran after the boys. 


They ran towards the beach, on the shore was Team Skull, and sitting in the waters was a boat. 
Daniel: STOP CROOKS! 
Minun used Thunderbolt! 
Turtwig used Seed Bomb. 
The bombs exploded, causing sand to fly everywhere.

Grunt: OH OH UH HUH! Team Skull, *waves arms around* We don't take instructions unless you're the boss
Grunt 2: You ain't the boss! *waves arms* 
Grunt 3: Stick around punks, and we'll squash you. 
Evan: You can't squash Dan. No one squashes him. 
Grunt 4: OH YEAH? Salandit! 
A lizard like pokemon came out of its pokeball, spraying purple acid at Dan, hitting him in the face.
Daniel: AH!
Jocey: DAN!
Evan: D-DAN!
Daniel fell to the floor, trying the cover his eyes. 
Lauren: YOU CROOKS! You'll pay for that! Ixie use Ice Shard! 
Jocey ran over to Dan. 
Evan watched in shock. 
Jocey: Are you okay? 
Grunt 2: GO Grimer!
Grunt 3: GO Rattata!
Grunt 1: GO Drowzee! 
Minun and Turtwig ran over to their trainer, worried. 
Grunt 4: YO! Don't mess with Skull. 
Jocey looked up, seeing the new pokemon joining the brawl. 
Jocey: LAUREN! Alvis, I think we need to help too. 
Evan: No one hurts Dan. Minun....Turtwig....ATTACK!
Minun and Turtwig turned to Evan, then launched their attacks at Salandit. 
Ixie went up against Drowzee, whilst Vully went up against Rattata!

Alvis: Leafage Rowlet, *Rowlet summoned a few leafs around it, which charged toward the Grimer in a tornado like fashion, Alvis rushing over trying to find some cooling agent in his bag, though being unfamiliar with the rescue kit, he quickly realized it was way over his head*

Lauren: Icy Wind!  
Jocey: Ember! 
The 2 attacks struck the opposing pokemon. Drowzee and Rattata took damage, Rattata jumped onto Ixie, biting it, whilst Drowzee used Confusion on Ember. 
Minun and Turtwig under the command of Evan used Thunderbolt, and Seed Bomb. 
Daniel continued to lie on the floor in pain.
As Minun and Turtwig attacked, Evan looked towards the water. 
Evan then ran over to Daniel, whilst Minun and Turtwig took care of Salandit. 
Evan: Dan, we need to get to the water. Please *eyes fill with tears at the sight of Dan in pain* DAN!!!! Please
Evan comforted Daniel, helping him up and helping him stagger to the water, although it was difficult as Daniel was much heavier. 
Grunt: Salandit, don't let the buffoons get to the water yo! 
Salandit started running towards the waters, using Sludge Bomb at Evan. 
Minun stopped the attack with Thunderbolt. 
Salandit fired again, Turtwig fired a Seed at it, colliding and exploding, sending acid all over, just missing Evan and Dan, but hitting Salandit in the face, but also flying at Drowzee, Rattata and Grimer. 
Grunt: YO! 
Evan and Daniel reached the water, Evan used the last of his strength, dropping Daniel's arm off his shoulder, causing him to crash into the water, face first.
Minun and Turtwig again, attacked Salandit, at the same time, KO'ing it. 
Drowzee, Rattata and Grimer all fainted. 
Grunt: DUDE! Not cool! 
Grunt 2: YO! What are we going to tell the boos? 
Lauren: Hand over the stolen goods. 
Grunt 3: As if! 
Jocey: DO IT! 
Grunt 4: Not happening missy. 
Lauren: Ixie, Icy Wind! 
Ixie let out a blast of ice, striking the grunts, freezing them. 
Suddenly, Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy arrived. 
Officer Jenny: Wow, you stopped these criminals. 
Nurse Joy rushed over to assist Daniel.

Alvis: G.....good job *Alvis turned to Daniel* ....I.... froze I am suppose to be a rescue worker and I froze when someone was in need of help Is... Is he going to be ok?

Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny led the group back to the Pokecenter. 
The group sat in the waiting room.  Hoping their friend would be okay. 
Evan looked worried. 
Lauren: He'll be okay....*looks around* He'll be fine. 
Jocey: *silently nods*
Minun and Turtwig sat on Evan's lap, both as worried as he was. 
The worker who asked for the groups help, came to visit. 
Worker: I'm sorry to hear that your friend was hurt.
Jocey: Thank you. 
Worker: If it weren't for you, our work would have been stolen. Please, accept these as a thank you. 
The worker handed over a bracelet each to the gang, including one for Daniel. 
Lauren: Thank you, what are they? 
Worker: Z Bracelets, they'll allow you to use Z moves, especially useful for those completing the island trials. I must be off, thank you all again, I hope everything works out okay.

Nurse Joy came out. 
Nurse Joy: I'm happy to say, that your friend will be okay, he's a little weak right now, so only one of you should visit him now. I imagine he'll be here for the next day or so. So make yourselves comfortable, you have nothing to worry about, once he's rested he'll be fine. 
Lauren: That's great.
Jocey: Phew!
Evan sighed. He hopped onto his feet.
Jocey: Ev, go in to see him take Minun and Turtwig in with you. 
Lauren: Good idea, since we'll be here for the next day or so, why don't we use this time to look around?
Jocey: We'll that's not a bad shout, we'll be here for a day so it'll give us something to do. 
Lauren: Alvis, you in? 
Evan left the group with Minun and Turtwig to go and visit Dan. 
Whilst Jocey, Lauren and Alvis went outside. 
Jocey: Vully, what shall we do?
Lauren: Ixie, I'm glad we met, you've really helped me over the last few days. I'm ready for adventure! I want to catch pokemon and I want to battle. 
Jocey: I know what you mean. I want to stop bad guys who hurt pokemon.
Lauren: Well, me and you have 1 pokemon each, Alvis, you have 2? I think its time to catch more!

Alvis: That sounds like a good idea... especially with Hala and the trial coming up

The 2 girls and Alvis headed outside and on to a nearby route.
Jocey: I really hope Dan will be alright.
Lauren: You heard Nurse Joy, he'll be fine. Relax Joss. 
Jocey: Joss? 
Lauren: Yeah, that's what I'll call you. Joss.
Jocey: Oh....that's okay then. 
Lauren: I like to shorten names, Dan, Joss, Ev and Alv. Now come on Joss, Alv, let's go find some pokemon. 
The 3 trainers headed off towards a meadow in on the island. 
Lauren: Ixie GO!
Jocey: Vully! GO
Lauren: See, now we can use our pokemon to hunt out any new pokemon. 
Jocey: Do you even know how to catch a pokemon?
Lauren: Uh.....no?
Jocey: Me neither. Alv, do you? 



Evan, Minun and Turtwig entered the room, Dan was on the bed, luckily, his face was fine.

Daniel: That was a close one, wasn't it Ev? 
Evan paused, then smiled, a big sigh of a relief. 
Evan: You're okay?
Daniel: Sure I am, it'll take more than that to knock me out.
Minun and Turtwig jumped onto the bed.
Daniel: Thank you both, I heard you fighting off those crooks, and Ev, it was you who helped get me to the water, Nurse Joy said that if I hadn't got to the water, by the time she arrived, the acid would have burnt my face.....so thanks buddy.
Evan: I'm glad you're alright. I didn't like seeing you hurt.
Evan ran up to the bed and put his arms around Dan.
Daniel: Don't sweat it bud. I'm Okay! 
Nurse Joy entered.
Nurse Joy: You should get some rest now, then in the morning, you'll be good to leave. 
Daniel: Right, hey Ev, will you look after Minun, Turtwig and Litten tonight?
Evan: Sure! 
Daniel: Thank you! 
Evan, Minun and Turtwig left the room they headed back to the lobby.
Evan: COME OUT! GO TOGEDEMARU! GO LITTEN!
Out of 2 pokeballs came Togedemaru and Litten. 
Litten was cleaning itself. 
Evan: Dan's having a rest tonight, so I'm looking after you all. The rest of the gang have gone out, so shall we go out. I bet Dan would be so happy if you did some training?
Minun and Turtwig jumped in excited, Litten nodded. Togedemaru clapped.
Evan ran outside, the pokemon following behind.

Alvis: Ya, I've read about it enough that it should be second nature to me, come on, let's go *Alvis took the duo to Route two, close to where the Poachers and Team Skull members attacked them the sites having been cleared up since then*
Alvis: alright, let’s see what we find *Alvis started to look around the outskirts of town, spotting a Smeargle in the grass* Alright, I guess it’s as good as a Pokemon as any *Alvis sent out his Rowlet*
*Smeargle turned to look at him*
Alvis: Peck! *Rowlet charged in, hitting Smeargle with it’s beak*
Smeargle: Smear! *The smeargle took it’s tail, painting against Rowlet, before pushing off the Owl Pokemon*
Alvis: Leafage!
*Smeargle instead charged forward a fake beak appearing over it’s nose as it hit Rowlet, knocking the Pokemon back before it could get off the Leafage*
*Smeargle looked at the pair of them, ready to fight, charging in again on Rowlet, hitting it with another Peck, and knocking the Rowlet out*
Alvis: Rowlet…..
*Smeargle looked at Alvis, disappointed in such a weak trainer and took into the grass booking it away from him*

Flashback
Alvis: Come on Davy, let me tag along with you, what the worst that could happen?
Davy: …You are inexperienced, you have no idea what you are doing out there
Alvis: I have been studying non-stop since I was 6, of course I know what I am doing out there
Davy: You may have the book smarts but in the heat of the heat of the moment how will you be able to handle the pressures of being a member of the Pokemon Rescue Squar
Alvis: You just have to give me the chance to prove myself!
Davy: No, Alvis I know you, for crying outloud I am your brother, you get overwhelmed quite easily and until you can actually overcome that you won’t even make it as a Pokemon Trainer, let alone a member of the Pokemon Rescue Squad
Alvis:….I’ll show you, I can do this
Davy: Nothing at all would make me happier to see, but if you want a proper battle, make your way to the Alola league and prove to me you can do this
Alvis: I will
Davy: It won’t be an easy task I hope you know
Alvis: I got this
Flashback ends*

Alvis: *Alvis returned Rowlet to his Pokeball*….. I thought this would be easy….. but…. I haven’t won a single battle yet…. *Alvis looked around* I… haven’t won a single battle yet…. Buzz mopped the floor with me and if it wasn’t for Clarity Tina would have been seriously hurt….. and Rarity mopped the floor with me, tearing me and Rowlet and Riolu a new one…. And those grunts…. I may have pushed one of them back…. But it’s not like we actually even beat one of them…. And…. A Smeargle…. I…. couldn’t even handle a wild Smeargle…. *he looked at his bag with all the Pokemon Rescue Gear he had, clearly upset* Davy was right, I can’t do this *Alvis took his bag and threw it against a nearby tree*
*The small tree shook from the bag`s impact, a few Cutiefly`s flying from the tree*
Alvis:….and I go messing up Pokemon`s homes myself…
*the Cutieflys instead of running away collectively surrounded the backpack, picking it up, flying it over to him and dropping it at his feet*
Alvis: W….what are you doing? I clearly threw that away… *He grabbed it, tossing it again, this time not as far as last time, the collective of Cutiefly flew over, picking it up and bringing it back to him*
*A big man walked up to them, joining Alvis for a bit*
Hala: They are saying thank you
Alvis: W….what?
Hala: ….The Pokemon, what they are trying to say is thank you for charging into rescue them, you did help rescue them
Alvis: But it was Daniel and friends who stopped them
Hala:… I have a friend of mine who disagrees with that sentiment, you showed up and held them off all by yourself, you are quite the impressive man, brave almost to a fault
Alvis: ….but I am no trainer
Hala: Those things take time, you will learn how to do it, and you will become someone who can challenge me, until then just take the Cutiefly’s help
*Alvis looked at his bag, picking it up, putting it back over his shoulder*
*The Cutiefly all seemed to fly away, except for one lone one who stayed behind*
Alvis: You better get going little guy the others may leave you behind
Hala:….that is the point there Alvis
Alvis: What do you mean?
*Cutiefly flew in, brushing itself against Alvis’s cheek*
Hala: It wants to go with you on your adventure
Alvis:….but don’t I have to battle the little guy first
*Hala laughed*
Hala: No, every person is different, every Pokemon is different, does it really seem right that ever capture would boil down to the same thing?
Alvis: I guess not
*Cutiefly flew back a few feet, Alvis grabbing his Pokeball*
Alvis: If you want to go on an adventure with me, I will be happy to have you on board *Alvis chucked the Pokeball at the Cutiefly, shaking three times and then staying closed*
Hala: Good to see
Alvis: Thank you Hala
Hala: Your welcome, now take on Illima’s trial and make your way to my grand trial Alvis
Alvis: You can count on it *and with that, Hala made his way back to Iki town*

Lauren and Jocey came running over, passing by Hala. 
Lauren: Who was that? Did you catch a pokemon? 
Jocey: You did, didn't you? We nearly caught some, but then we remembered, you need a pokeball to do that. Haha. 
Lauren: We're hopeless haha
Vully and Ixie giggled.
Jocey: What did you get?

*Alvis sent out his new Cutiefly, who circled around the three before landing in front of the two girls*

Jocey: AWWWW Its so cute.
Lauren: Yeah....it is....I guess each day I'm growing fonder of pokemon. In fact, why don't we have a practice match? Me and Ixie, against you and your new pokemon. 
Jocey: Its a Cutiefly, we rescued them the other week.

*Alvis looked nervous before Cutiefly reassured him*
Alvis: Alright, alright

Lauren: Okay, my first official battle, and its against you Alvis. Are you ready Ixie? 
Ixie jumped onto the field.
Jocey: Try not to hurt each other too much.
Vully facepalmed.

Alvis: Alright, let's start this off right, Fairy Wind! *Cutiefly releases a strong gust of sparkling wind that encroaches towards Ixie*

Lauren: Whoa, that's a fairy type move I guess! 
Jocey: From what I've seen when Dan battles is, you ask your pokemon to dodge. 
Lauren: Oh right! *looks back at the battle* Ixie...
Ixie was hit by the attack, knocking it back, taking damage. 
Jocey: Ooooo Ixie got hurt, I hope its alright.
Lauren: Pah, me and Ixie can withstand that, Ixie use Ice Shard!

*The tiny Pokemon was hit by the massive shard of ice*
Alvis: Cutiefly!
*The Pokemon tarted to fall but quickly recovered*
Alvis: Good job, now let's see if they can dodge this, Stun Spore
*Cutiefly flew over, releasing sparkling orange powder that floated down towards Ixie*

The powder fell on to Ixie. 
Ixie: Vul!!! Pix! 
Lauren: Ha....it did nothing. Is that all you got? Another Ice Shard! 
Ixie was unable to move.
Lauren: What? Ixie....attack! 
Jocey: Its say here *looking at pokedex* Stun Spore, paralyses your pokemon. It slows it down and sometimes the pokemon is unable to move. 
Lauren: You tricked me? Unfair. Cheat! Ixie, DO SOMETHING!
