Pokemon: Aloha Alola!

Daniel: Pikipek we can bring this back, Rock Smash! 
Pikipek dove down, crashing into Meowth. 
Pikipek flew back, flapping its wings in front of Dan. 
Daniel: Pikipek! Good job now wrap it up with....
One of the pokeballs on Dan's belt opened, Litten came diving out, throwing itself at Pikipek. 
Evan: Uh-oh
Sarah: What's going on?
Litten landed, Pikipek had disappeared. 
Joel: Uh.......
Litten had Pikipek in its mouth once again. 
Daniel: PIKIPEK! Litten, you drop Pikipek right now. DROP DROP!
Litten spat Pikipek out, and once again, the 2 pokemon started brawling. 
Daniel: Break it up! RETURN!
Pikipek and Litten went back into their pokeballs. 
Daniel: Awww man, I was so going to win that. 
Joel: Debatable. Anyway that was a bit of fun. 
Sarah: Ah look at the time Joelly. We've got an hour to get our boat before it departs.
Joel: Well what do you know, looks like that quick end to the battle worked out in our favour, Dan, Evan, nice to see you again, Lauren, Jocey, Alvis, see you around! 
Sarah: Nice to meet you all, and nice to see you again after all this time Dan. 
Joel and Sarah darted off into the distance. 
Daniel: That was abrupt.
Lauren: They sure left here quickly.
Jocey: Wow....here one minute, gone the next.
Evan: Next time, Dan will win for sure.

Alvis: You can count on it

*As the group got to Iki Town, a man was waiting for them*
The man, wearing a red vest with red pants and a white undershirt,standing 5’8, with ash brown hair and a matching set of eyes turned to look at the group*
Alvis: Davy!
*Alvis ran up, hugging the man*
Davy: How`s it going little man?
Alvis: Well finished my first Alolan Trial
Davy: Good, do you think you'll be able to handle me and your brothers trials
Alvis: I should be able to
Davy: Good, so, who are your friends over here?

Daniel: The name's Dan, and these are my pokemon, Minun and Turtwig.
Evan: I'm Evan and this is Togedemaru!
Jocey: I'm Joss, meet Pichu and Vully! 
Lauren: I'm Lauren and here's my Ixie.

Davy: Nice to meet you all
Alvis: Davy here is the head of the Pokemon Rescue Squad
Davy: Well field leader, Dad still sorta tells us when to go, you know coordinating everything
Alvis: So where is the Jet?
Davy: It's just off the coast for now while I take care of some business in here
Alvis: Oh, alright, and what is that business?
Davy: Actually, I came to see you Alvis, I think we both know you are a little too young and inexperienced to handle these machines and rescue Pokemon all the time, and I think you should probably slow down a bit and just have fun on your journey until you are ready
Alvis: Oh, so this is just a fancy way of saying you don't have a trial ready
Davy:... No.... it's a fancy way of saying you don't want to take on my trial
Alvis: Come on Davy, no matter what it is, me and Dartrix can handle it
Davy:....So you put the thought into your choice, but that isn't going to help you with my trial
Alvis: And that is?
Davy: A one on one battle
Alvis:....Davy, I can do this, and I will prove it to you, alright, time for a good old fashion battle!

Lauren: GO ON Alvis! Smash him! 
Jocey: But Davy is so much more experienced. Do you think he has a chance Dan?
Evan: Dan beat his older brother once. I'm sure Alvis can to.
Daniel remained silent. Eager to witness the battle.

Alvis: Dartrix let’s go!
Davy: Primarina, I chose you! *A Large blue and white seal Pokemon came out, landing out on the ground*
Alvis: So… you brought him along, you sure are taking this seriously
Davy: Of course I am, I am here to test to see if you are able to be a Pokemon Rescue Squad Member, if I can leave dozens of lives in your hands each and every day
Alvis: I’ll show you! Razor Leaf!
*Dartrix let out a storm of leaves, hitting Primarina, who seemed to just brush the attack off*
Davy: Hyper Voice *Primarina screams, creating a blue wave of energy that blows away Dartrix, pushing it towards a tree*
Alvis: Recover from that *At the last second, Dartrix pulled up avoiding the tree*
Davy: Bubble Beam *Primarina blasted the air in front of Dartrix with bubbles, the owl running right into the attack, Dartrix falling down*
Alvis: Dartrix are you ok? *Alvis rushing over to Dartrix who got up, blowing at his fringe, his eyes bulging, not wanting to be embarrassed so easily in front of it’s trainer and the others* Leafage!
*Dartrix let out the tornado of leaves it flying towards Primarina*
Davy: Alright my friend, It’s your time to shine, Sparkling Aria! *The user bursts into song, emitting many bubbles* the large bubbles flew by, hitting the leafage attack, obliterating it in a single hit, another bubble hitting a near by tree, the bark flying off towards Dartrix, and the last bubble hitting Dartrix, launching the Owl Pokemon high into the air before coming crashing down, knocked out*
Alvis: D….Dartrix
Davy: ….The day will come when you are ready, you and Dartrix gave it your all, it’s just not today baby brother *Davy returned Primarina to it’s Pokeball*

Lauren: Its....its so pretty.
Jocey: What is that pokemon? 
Daniel: Ouch..
Evan: That was quick. 
Lauren: Dartrix went down so quickly, and against the a water type. 
Jocey: Poor Dartrix, it tried so hard.

*Alvis looked at his Pokeball upset*
Davy: Learn from this, don't dwell on it, you got that
Alvis:....Ya...
Davy: Losing is only a failure if you let it be one, losing is really a chance to see what works and what doesn't
Alvis: I know....
Davy: Primarina, good job boy *Davy walked up and petted his Pokemon* return *Primarina was returned to it's Pokeball* We'll meet again Alvis, and you can try again
Alvis: Sure
Davy: Until then.... you have a Grand Trial right?
Alvis: Yep
Davy: Then good luck, to all of you

Daniel: Thanks Davy, it was nice to meet you. 
Lauren: Yeah, and Primarina is just the cutest! 
Daniel: Your brother is right though, don't dwell on it too much, its your first loss, it happens to us all eventually.

Alvis: I get ya, you didn't win the Unova and Hoenn league tournaments sitting around crying over spilt milk
Davy: I learned from them and tried and tried again, plus I have a great coach
Alvis: Ya, you two do great together
Davy: and I am sure you all will do great too, and if any of you are taking the island challenge, hope to see you at the finish line

Several days later, the gang were up by the mountains of Melemele island. 
They were taking a break due to the hot weather and exhaustion. 
Daniel: This is such a big climb.
Lauren: Isn't it! But its the quickest way back to the village.
Jocey: I wasn't built for this heat. I'm burnt.
Evan: It hurts to touch the ground. It so so hot. 
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig!
Daniel: I'm so thirsty *holds empty water bottle* I'm all out of juice.
Evan: If only we had a water pokemon. An unlimited supply of water.
Daniel: Hey that's a thought. Man I wish I had Greninja with me, or Golduck, or Samurott, Swampert, heck even Slowking and Politoed. But nope.....
Turtwig's nose twitched.
Daniel: Turtwig, everything alright?
Turtwig began following a scent. 
Evan: Where is Turtwig going?
Lauren: It seems to be following something.
Jocey: We should follow
Minun: Mai?
Daniel: Turtwig, wait! Where are you going? 
The group began to follow Turtwig. 
Turtwig crawled into a large crack in the side of the mountain. 
Daniel: Turtwig went through that hole there! 
The gang were about to follow, when suddenly, shadows flew above. 
Lauren: What's that? 
Jocey: You what are those! There's a few shadows. 
Suddenly from the skies, 2 Mandibuzz and multiple Vullaby. 
Lauren: WAH! Bird Pokemon.
Jocey: AWWWW those baby ones are cute.
Multiple Vullaby began pecking at Jocey. 
Daniel: DON'T GET CLOSE! Mandibuzz and Vullaby can be vicious. 
Jocey: OW OW OW You don't say! OW OW
Lauren: Ixie! Help us! 
Pichu came out of its pokeball, in order to protect its owner. Joining Ixie.
Daniel: Minun, looks like we have a battle. Alvis, ready?

Alvis: Dartrix buddy, we need your help 
*Dartrix came out, ready to fight*

Daniel: Minun, Thunderbolt!
Lauren: Ixie, Powder Snow!
Jocey: Volt Tackle!
Mandibuzz and 2 Vullaby were knocked out, Dartrix's attack knocked out the second Mandibuzz. 
Daniel: Nice job guys.....there were 3 Vullaby....weren't there? 
Evan: 1, 2...3...YEAH there were 3. 
In the corner, Litten had its back to the gang.
Daniel: Litten.....
Litten turned around, its mouth bursting. 
Daniel: SPIT IT OUT!
Litten spat out the Vullaby. 
Daniel: Good kitty. 
Litten: NYA!
Daniel: Right, let's go through! 
The group squeezed into the gap in the mountain, and on the other side, was a large area, covered in flowers, with a small lake, and a cave. 
Daniel: Woah! No way!
Lauren: Who knew this area was hiding in the mountain.
Jocey: Its beautiful, its hidden away, its.....so chilled, and shaded, away from the sun. Ah!!! And that water....it looks so lush. 
Evan: I want to swim in it. 
Daniel: Where's Turtwig....
Jocey: Good point. 
Lauren: I hope he's alright. 
Minun: Mai
Togedemaru: Toge
Evan: Turtwig, are you here? 
Coming out of the cave, came Turtwig, along with a woman. 
Daniel: TURTWIG!
Woman: Daniel. 
Daniel: Rey? 
Rey: Its been some time. 
Daniel: Turtwig, did you sense Rey? 
Rey: He did, he came to help.
Daniel: Help.
Evan: What's up?
Jocey: Who's she?
Lauren: Not sure. 
Rey: We've got trouble....in the cave.
Lauren: We being?
Rey: Alix. 
Jocey: Alix?
Daniel: My brother. 
Lauren: Your brother....we only just met Alvis'.
Daniel: Is he in trouble?
Rey: Not him in particular, but its his Meganium, its very ill. 
Daniel: Meganium? Its ill? 
Rey: Yes.
Lauren: What's wrong with it? 
Rey: We're not too sure. 
Daniel: Lead the way.
Turtwig: Twig! 
Rey and Turtwig led the gang through the cave.
As they walked through the cave, it was surprisingly full of flowers. A strong scent surround them.
Daniel: Ah....all these flowers, my hayfever is going to be playing up big time.
Jocey: You have hayfever?
Lauren: You? Who walks around with a plant turtle everyday? 
Turtwig: Turtwig!
Daniel: Well I'm accustom to Turtwig, right pal?
Turtwig: Turtwig!
Rey: See, Meganium seems to emitting a strong sweet scent, and causing flowers to bloom, Turtwig must have sensed it, and came to investigate. 
They went deeper into the cave, and finally, appearing in the distance was Alix, crouching over a Meganium. 
Daniel: Alix?
Alix: Oh great. You arrived.
Lauren: Is he being sarcastic or???
Evan: That's just the way he is...I think.
Daniel: Nice to see you too. Meganium, its sick isn't it? 
Alix: Indeed, luckily Turtwig brought you guys here...I haven't been able to move it. 
Jocey: What about its pokeball?
Alix: For some reason it won't go inside.
Lauren: Uh.....aren't you going to introduce us?
Daniel: Oh right....I would but, he doesn't remember any of my friends.
Alix: Not true, that Jackson isn't it? *points to Evan* and that's uh...Simon wasn't it? *points to Alvis* 
Daniel: I've not got friends called Jackson and Simon, I think you may be referring to Jack and Sid....and no...this is Evan, you met him in Kalos, and this is Alvis, as for the girls, Jocey, and Lauren.
Alix: Yeah yea, Meganium is still sick. 
Lauren: Wow. He's not a people person is he.
Daniel: No.....definitely not. 
Alix: So are you going to help shift Meganium. With enough of us here, we should be able to lift and take it to the spring. 
Daniel: We can try. 
The whole group tried to lift Meganium.
Meganium: MEEEEEEG NIUM!
Daniel: Its so heavy. SO SO HEAVY.
Jocey: I CAN'T HOLD ON MUCH.....
Lauren: AHHHH
Evan: OWWWW
The group dropped Meganium gently. 
Alix: I promise you'll be fine. 
Daniel: What's wrong with it? 
Rey: We've no idea, we've tried potions, full restores, antidotes, paralyse heals, and nothing is working at all. 
Flowers began to bloom, more and more appeared.
Lauren: Is Meganium causing the flowers to appear?
Jocey: Flowers should be able to grow in a dark place like this, yet they are blooming beautifully. Surely its linked?
Loud noises could be, sounds similar to birds squawking.
Lauren: Uh....what is that sound? 
Evan: I don't think I like the sound of it.
Daniel: Those calls....they sound similar. 
The group ran outside, leaving Rey looking after Meganium. 
They ran to the spring, and coming through the gap in the mountain, appeared multiple Mandibuzz and dozens of Vullaby.
Daniel: The pokemon, they brought reinforcements. 
Jocey: Theres tons more than before.
Lauren: They want revenge! 
Daniel: Minun, Turtwig? Ready? 
Jocey: Vully, Pichu! COME ON OUT!
Lauren: Ixie! GO!
Alix: Rowlet, Raichu! GO!
Raichu: Rai rai!
Rowlet: Roooow? 
Daniel: A Rowlet? You caught a new pokemon? 
Alix: Save the admiration, ATTACK! 
Daniel: RIGHT! Litten, Pikipek, help us out! 
The gangs pokemon began attacking the many bird pokemon.
Suddenly, through the gaps, more Vullaby appeared, bringing a flock of Spearow too.

Alvis: Dartrix, try and hold them back with Leafage
*Dartrix made a wall of leaves, though there was still a large opening for the bird Pokemon to go through*

The gang attacked, scaring off the bird pokemon, who made a quick exit. 
Daniel: That'll teach them! 
Lauren: Good job gang!
Evan: You all did it. 
Rey came running out of the cave
Rey: Did you stop them?
Alix: Indeed......where's Meganium?
Rey: Oh she's still inside, I just came to quickly check what the ruckus was. 
Alix: What? *runs back inside*

The cave was still surrounded by blooming flowers, however Meganium was no longer lying on the floor in pain, it was just getting up off the floor.
Alix: Meganium? 
Daniel: Is it alright? 
Jocey: It looks fine....
Rey: Phew, I wonder what was wrong. 
The group crowded round her, as she began to lick Alix's face.
Meganium: MEGANIUM! MEG MEGANIUM!
Jocey: Look! On the floor!
Jocey rushed over, picking something off the floor.
Lauren: What is it? 
Daniel: An egg?
Evan: Huh?
Rey: A green egg....HA *smiles* Meganium wasn't ill....all this time, she wasn't ill.
Alix: She was ready to lay her egg. 
Jocey: Wow! That's amazing.

Alvis: well it's better than being sick *he pulled out a bowl, filling it with water for the Meganium, putting it down in front of her* To keep hydrated after that whole ordeal

Daniel: Looks like you'll have a little one to look after.
Alix: *looks at Jocey holding the egg* You're starting your journey aren't you?
Jocey: Who me? Uh...yeah.
Alix: So you've not looked after an egg before?
Jocey: I can't say I have no.
Alix: This will be valuable experience for you then. Take the egg.
Lauren: WHAT?!??!
Rey: What? Are you sure? Its only just arrived.
Alix: Yes. I'm sure, theres no better experience than raising a pokemon from an egg, its valuable experience, Meganium would want to be part of that process, wouldn't you.
Meganium nodded happily.
Alix: And as much as it pains me to think about it, we'll probably be bumping into you now and again since Dan is travelling with you. So Meganium can still see its baby. 
Jocey: Really? You want me to look after it.
Alix: Only if you think you're up to it.
Daniel: Wow, a new pokemon and an egg, in a matter of days. Not bad. 
Jocey: Thank you, I promise I'll look after it! Thank you thank you thank you! 
Lauren: Not fair. I still haven't even caught my first....except for Ixie. 
Daniel: Your time will come. 
Alix: Well then, Meganium, return! 
Meganium finally went into its pokeball. 
Alix: Time to dash.
Daniel: Wait, I want to battle you.
Alix: Next time. We've been here for 2 days, I want to go to the next island. 
Daniel: What? You mean, you've beaten the kahuna?
Alix: Yes. Obviously. 
Daniel: Oh, I've got some catching up to do.
Alix: Ya. See you then.
Lauren: That was sudden.
Alix and Rey left. 
Daniel: Uh...
Evan: So what pokemon will be in the egg?
Daniel: Aha, we'll leave that as a surprise shall we?
Evan: But I want to know!
Jocey: Yeah, I'm curious.
Lauren: Do you know Dan? 
Daniel: Sure I do, but let's keep it a surprise for now.

Alvis: Keeping it a secret it is then *Alvis looked ahead* now.... looks like we just have a Kahuna to beat

The gang were making their way to their next destination, Daniel and Alvis were both ready to fight the island Kahuna. They were walking along the path beside the mountain.
Lauren: Okay, this is so unfair, Dan's caught a Litten and Pikipek since he's been here, Joss has got Pichu and now has been given an egg, Alvis caught Cutiefly, what have I got? No captures. This is completely unfair. 
Daniel: Well, you have to go out and find a pokemon, earn it!
Evan: I'm sure you'll get a pokemon soon.
Jocey: Look at my egg Lau, its so pretty, I wonder what new pokemon I'll get.
Lauren: Shut it you! 
In the distance, on the beach, the group could see a small blue pokemon, battling it out a Hairyama. 
Daniel: Look over there! A pokemon battle! A wild one too! 
The little blue pokemon tried its best, but Hairyama punched it, knocking it backwards, the pokemon laid on the floor hurt, it tried to get up, but it collapsed again. 
Hairyama looked at it disapprovingly.
Lauren: That poor thing got thrashed.
Jocey: We should help it. 
The group ran to the beach to the small blue pokemon. 
As they arrived, they saw a small group of the same blue pokemon. 
Jocey: Who is that pokemon? 
Pokedex:  Popplio, the Sea Lion Pokemon. A water type, Popplio can control water balloons and works hard so it can make bigger balloons, they aren't known for fighting and are a pokemon that are likely seen to be performing shows. 
The group of Popplio shook their heads at the little Popplio. 
Evan: Its family doesn't look happy with it.
Daniel: They probably don't like it fighting judging by what the pokedex just said.
Jocey: Yeah they don't look pleased at all. 
The group of Popplio then began to head into the sea, away from the little Popplio. 
Lauren: Hey! Where are you going?!? 
Lauren ran up to Popplio.
Daniel: Lauren wait, don't touch it....
Lauren: But its hurt.
Daniel: I know, I know, but if you touch it, its family may never return for it. 
Minun: Mai Mai
Turtwig: Twig
Jocey: That's so sad.
Evan: Pokemon can be so heartless sometimes. 
Lauren: But if we leave it, and they don't return.....it could die here. *picks up Popplio*
The group of Popplio turned, seeing Lauren holding the little Popplio. 
Lauren: How can you just leave your family like that? This poor Popplio is one of your own and you're going to leave it, because its doing something you don't like. You're cruel.

The Popplio did not seem to care for what Lauren was saying. They continued crawling back to the sea. 
Lauren: You'll be sorry for leaving this Popplio.....I promise you will. You have my word, because Popplio here is going to grow, its going to become one powerful pokemon, and it'll teach you for leaving it. You don't get to choose its destiny. Popplio decides that, if Popplio wants to be a battler.....then it can. And it will. 
The Popplio arrived in the water, not evening looking back.
The little Popplio cried out for its family, tears appeared in Lauren's eye. But the family disapeared into the waters. 
Lauren was shaking, with anger. 
Daniel: Lauren....Popplio needs treatment. 
Lauren: Right. 
The group ran to the Pokecenter, handing Popplio over to Nurse Joy, who took it straight into the emergency room.
Evan: I hope it'll be okay. 
Jocey: Not only did it sustain physical injuries, but also the emotional damage of it's family leaving it...heartbreaking.
Daniel: Popplio will be fine...
Jocey: How do you know? 
Daniel glanced at Lauren, who looked on through the glass window, watching Popplio. 
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig

Alvis:.... Pride will be hurt with Popplio more than anything.... but.... a Pokemon damaged like that..... is worth it, as not only are they your trusted Pokemon, they will become a trusted friend

Nurse Joy left the emergency room and approached the group. 
Nurse Joy: Its a good job you brought Popplio in when you did, its sustained some pretty serious injuries. I'm going to keep it in for a while, and help it with a full recovery.
Daniel: It was that badly hurt?
Nurse Joy: Very much so, it must have been fighting for hours.
Jocey: Oh gosh, that's terrible, it only wanted to prove it was strong.
Evan: Maybe it isn't a battler.
Lauren: NO WAY. It's got spirit, it just needs some help.
Nurse Joy: Like I said, Popplio won't be fighting for quite some time. I'd say I'd keep it her for at least 2 weeks or so. 
Daniel: Woah. That long...
Nurse Joy: Sure, I want to make sure its ready to go back out there once its healed. 
Lauren: So can we come visit it whilst it recovers?
Nurse Joy: I would say its best to let it rest for the time being, but if you wish to visit it as it heals, then I'll allow it, but not a large group, 1 or 2 at a time.
Daniel: Of course.
Lauren: I'll be there.
Jocey: I'll come with you each evening if you wish. Keep you company.
Lauren: Thank you.
Nurse Joy: In the mean time, you may want to take on the island Kahuna. 
Daniel: Great! But we need to find out who he is first.
Nurse Joy: I'm sure you'll find out soon.
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig!

Alvis smiled and nodded 
Alvis: Ya,we'll track him down and take him on!

The gang arrived back at Iki Town. 
Daniel: Many people have said, this is it! This is where the Kahuna lives, we must locate him! 
Lauren: He could be anywhere in this town.
Jocey: Where would a Kahuna reside? 
Evan: Maybe he would visit the school.
Lauren: Visit the school? Really? Doubt that would happen....
Daniel: Hey...that's not a bad shout Ev, a strong trainer like that, it would be a great role for the children. 
Lauren: You think?
Jocey: Good thinking Ev.
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig! 
Daniel: Then to the school we go! 
They proceeded to the school. 
As they arrived, there were lots of children entering the building, who seemed more excited than usual.
Daniel: Is it me, or are the kids more excited than usual? 
Jocey: I think you might be right, makes you wonder if something is happening today.
Lauren: School trip maybe? 
Daniel: Possibly. 
They entered the school entrance, they were greeted by Joanna in reception. 
Joanna: Oh wow, welcome back! How are you keeping?
Daniel: Hi Joanna, great thanks! 
Joanna: Great, I had no idea you were coming in today. 
Daniel: Well, it was unplanned, we just wanted to visit, see if you had any idea where the Kahuna is.
Joanna: Aha, lucky day, or excellent timing, the island Kahuna is actually visiting the school today, in fact he's hosting a school tournament. 
Lauren: School tournament?
Joanna: All of the pupils here will be battling it out in a competition, hosted by the Island Kahuna. 
Jocey: That's so lucky. 
Daniel: I would love to watch that tournament, some children may be competing for the first time, their first ever battle. That.....that would be cool to watch. 
Lauren: Sure would be quite interesting. 
Joanna: If you'd like to watch, that shouldn't be a problem, I'll run it by Al. *rings Alun*....

Moments later Alun arrived at reception. 
Alun: Ah nice to see you all again. You completed the island trial Dan? Alvis? 
Daniel: We did indeed, next up is the Kahuna.
Alun: Good timing, you'll be able to ask him yourself for a battle. So you guys want to watch the tournament? 
Jocey: Yeah it sounds really fun. 
Alun: Then you're more than welcome, actually, I was thinking of calling you guys anyway, Evan in particular. 
Evan: Me?
Alun: I wanted to know if you wanted to take part in the tournament with Togedemaru? 
Evan: Our first official battle? 
Alun: Would be good practice and fun. 
Evan: Do you think I should Dan?
Daniel: Of course I do! It'll be amazing experience, go for it! 
Minun: MAI
Turtwig: Twig turtwig! 
Evan: Togedemaru, do you think we should enter? 
Togedemaru: Toge MARU MARU!
Evan: Then we'll enter! 
Alun: Didn't doubt you for a minute! Great! Okay, Joanna will you take Evan to the hall? The rest come with me! 
Daniel: Ev, good luck! Smash it! Okay?

Lauren: All the best kiddo
Jocey: You'll be fine!

Turtwig: Turtwig! 
Joanna took Evan to the hall, with the rest of the children, whilst the rest of the group followed Alun.
Alun: So the island Kahuna will be here shortly, I'll take you to the staff room to wait.
Daniel: Thanks!
Alun: Help yourselves to tea and coffee. Its good to have you guys visiting again. In fact, you helped us out a bunch last time you were here, especially you Dan.
Daniel: I did?
Alun: Yes, we've seen a huge transformation with the student you worked with last time.
Daniel: Ieuan? 
Alun: Yeah, he's really improved, his behaviour, performance, he's on track. 
Daniel: Really? That's great to hear that. 
Alun: He'll be really happy to see you today too, he's been going on and on about the last day you were here.
Daniel: It'll be great to see him again, right guys
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig! 
They arrived at the staff room. 
Alun: Okay, wait here and Ive just got to finish a bit of work and then I'll get the island Kahuna. See you shortly!
Alun left the room.
Daniel: I just know Evan is going to win it! Or Ieuan.
Jocey: We didn't meet him did we?
Lauren: Don't think so.

Alvis: Well now is as good as time as any

The group were led through the school, when from a classroom door, a voice called out.
???: Sir! You're back! 
Daniel and the group turned around to see Ieuan, who ran out, and came up to Daniel, bumping fists with him. 
Daniel: Ieuan! How's it going! 
Ieuan: Alola Sir! 
Daniel: Alola! I hear you've been doing well in school.
Ieuan: Well, I think I'm doing okay.
Daniel: From what I hear, you're really doing well, I'm pleased to here that.
Minun: Mai
Turtwig: Twig!
Daniel: So are you entering the tournament? 
Ieuan: Yeah, I'm going to show off exactly how much I learnt when I battled with Minun. 
Daniel: Sounds great!
Minun: Mai! *jumps onto Ieuan's shoulder* 
Ieaun: Haha! 
Daniel: So, how does the tournament work? 
Alun: Well today is a special day because the students actually get their own pokemon.
Lauren: To keep? 
Jocey: Or to rent? 
Alun: To keep. 
Daniel: Wow, that's so cool, my school never did that. Mind you, you had to have a pokemon to be in the school. Right Minun!
Minun: Mai mai! 
Alun: Well here, everyone is welcome to learn, we encourage all children to come here, and in doing so they are given their own partner pokemon. The Island Kahuna then takes the oldest children who are ready to graduate, and on graduation, they recieve a starter pokemon, as well as the pokemon they received on tournament day.
Jocey: Do the students get to choose their partner pokemon today?
Alun: Its actually randomly selected, the students choose from a number of pokeballs, and inside every pokeball is a base pokemon that can be caught in Alola, so it can range from Yungoos to Caterpie, Spinerak to Happiny, even Riolu to Sandshrew. 
Lauren: Wow, that's a lot. 
Daniel: Any pokemon that you hope to have Ieuan? 
Ieuan: I'm not picky, I hope I just get a good one. 
Daniel: That's the spirit. 
Jocey: What if they have a pokemon already?
Alun: Well then they use that pokemon in the tournament and don't need to select one. 
Jocey: Won't that give the students who already have pokemon an advantage?
Alun: Yes, but that's preparing them for the future, sometimes an opponent may have an advantage because of their experience.
